I'm a 43 years old C.F patient who happen to be married to a C.F carrier. 1 year ago after having IVF treatments my beautiful healthy baby girl was born. The doctors used PGD to select only the healthy carrier fetus and not the sick one. So my daughter is carrier of one of my mutations but healthy. Never loose hope and live life to it's fullest.

Great video Enoch! Really exciting news indeed! Some corrections regarding Trikafta. It does not correct nonsense/stop mutations or anything else than F508del. But as long as the patient have one F508del mutation, that is enough! Trikafta is potent enough to work on 50% of a patients potential "CFTR proteins" to put it that way. Orkambi and Symdeko required two mutations to fix enough of them. And if you meet a carrier and wish to have a child, there is 50% chance of CF and 50% chance of a carrier. But with IVF i think the docs can "handpick" eggs/sperm without a mutation to guarantee a child without CF.
