Ray, I didn't know that you were still undergoing the surgery/physical therapy at the dawn of your channel. That you pushed through with your relentless and infectious enthusiasm, made some amazing friends (Fluff, Chappers etc), met some of your heroes and built this community here is a real achievement. The fact that you have stayed humble and thankful through this wild ride makes me love and respect you more. As they say, the dark times make the good ones seem sweeter. Stay Metal Ray!

I have about 40ish guitars in my personal collection and I definitely have some very cool/high end/just plain different ones (including several Wylde Audios), but hands down my favorite and the one I always pick up before all the others is my Wylde Audio Nomad with the Cocobolo top. It plays amazing, it looks amazing, it feels amazing. Everytime I pick it up I immediately just feel inspired, as corny as that may sound, but music just flows out of me when I’m holding that particular guitar. Get yourself one Ray. I promise you won’t regret it.

Seeing you talk about what you went through with your right arm is what piqued my interest. I guess more so you've alluded to it rather than discussed it, but I want you to know it connects with me, a guitarist with a hole in his elbow and has had to go through his own rehabilitative endeavors. I worked my way out of a decade of constant pain and I think these are important stories to share.

I’m a guitarist trying to get through a disability and learn to play again. My right elbow was demolished by a rocket propelled grenade in Afghanistan. And I have shrapnel damage in my left hand. I gave up trying to play again… I let the depression stop me. I lost all hope. But I’ve got it back! The challenge is finding an easier to play guitar (low action) on a budget. But I will get there! Just wanted to let you know I’ve been in your shoes! Keep putting out great content!

Hey Ray ,your wrong buddy the flying v guitar was not geared toward metal players the year 1958 Gibson tried to come up with futuristic designs because even the cars of that era had tail fins replicating space ships ! Lonnie Mack was the first guitarist to adopt the flying v he didn't play metal Ray ! Also the great Albert King played the flying v ! A musicians individuality can't be pigeonholed for one certain design of instrument ! I love metal music but I also love archtop guitars ! If they offered any of these in a 25.5" scale or longer instead of the kind of random 24.625", it would open up some doors for more modern players who like tuning lower and are concerned about intonation up high. Also, Fat block inlays on all of them and start doing one color bodies! A satin flat black Nomad with block inlays and a 25.5" scale and I'd be on that thing! Love how chunky the necks are and how the nut width is 43mm for someone like me with big hands. Even better a 27" baritone Nomad. Man that'd be the most badass guitar on the planet.

I heard the necks are really thick?
@joeyvanostrand36553 жыл бұрын
@@ricksanchezito8972 there is a lot of Truth to that. It's surprisingly deceptive how big the neck actually is. I find it to be much wider than normal but as soon as you get your hand around it, it feels like an old friend. This is all by feel, mind you. I am very partial to the Ibanez wizard III neck. And, you'll never believe this. The Jackson JS32 series. Yep! The cheap ones! The necks are astounding! I've had my hands on quite a few of them not only owning them but repairing them on my bench. They are *almost* on par with my Jackson Kelly KEX or Ibanez Premium. Anyways, back to the blood eagle. Haha! I had mentioned earlier I find the neck to be very comfortable allowing me to play for extended periods of time. I don't get too hung up on neck dive. Most of my guitars have big heavy locking tuners on them so I'm used to it pitching down. Weight is another popular topic for dudes to minge about. Of course it's heavy. Look how greaking big it is! The hard shell case for it is absolutely massive! Moving past the jaw- dropping visual that this guitar sets off is its monstrous tone! I have a variety of shredders and this is usually my go-to. I love it!! By the way, got it on sale at musician's Friend for $899.
