The guitar shot with the 12mm is stunning Grant. Again great photos & that 12mm is wonderful, as are all the Pana Leica primes. Sold my zooms but occasionally miss the convenience.

lens combos in my grab bags most often grabbed - GX9: 15mm 1.7, 9mm 1.7, Olympus 45 1.8 next most grabbed G9:: 12-60mm f/2.8-4, 25 1.4, Olympus 7-14 2.8, sometimes leave the 12-60 and throw in the Oly 75 1.8 here's another bag with the 12-35 and 35-100 2.8 lenses that the G9 gets put in for video and will stuff the 100-400 on top of those and the G9 for wildlife sitting around for super small travel or going to dodgy areas GX7: 20mm 1.7 pancake, 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 and 45-150mm f4.0-5.6 (the two zoom kit lens combo that came with it) GF3: 14mm 2 .5 pancake, 12-32mm f3.5-5.6 (kit lens from GX9 that I never wanted but had to get in the kit - it is not to bad all things considered and works well on the GF3) and sometimes grab the oly 45 from out of the GX9 bag

My three go-to lenses for my Lumix GX85 are: 1. Lumix G 14mm 2. Lumix G 25mm 3. Lumix G 45-150mm I have a Lumix GF3, on which my Lumix G 12-32mm lives, as I treat it like a point-and-shoot. I recently took the 45-150 out on a nature walk and I absolutely loved the DOF I was able to get.

Thanks for the video 🤘. Nice combo, with these fantastic lenses. But they are all the range. Not much “step up” in line. I have the Panasonic Lumix 14-42 and the Panasonic lumix 12-60mm f3.5-4.0 kit-lens. Everyone quit affordable with good results. But your prime lenses are obviously better 👌.

I m building my lens patrimony for my beloved relatively new GX9. I m still debating in my decisions. But I do have the LUMIX 20 mm 1.7 which I don’t use that much despite being a very good and fast lens. I also have 2 Laowa lenses, the 10 mm 2.0 and the 2x Macro 50 mm 2.8. I like both lenses (which are fully manual with electronic contacts); but I absolutely love the macro one: I have not encountered a sharper lens so far. Fantastic as a portrait 100 mm equivalent lens. In fact, this lens it’s so reliable that I use it the most so far. You can get focus assist and peeking with any Lawoa lens that has electronic contact. And the cream: they are so tiny that are the epitome of MTF aesthetic and practicality. They have the same diameter as the camera mount. Stunning. Being fully manual slows me down a little bit which I do not prefer when shooting people that are posing…;) now I m looking for a fast autofocus versatile length to use mainly inside (faster than 1.7) I might have to go for another fully manual lens 0.95 maybe? But I m afraid they are not sharp enough. I also want a medium to large telephoto ( either the 14-140 ii or the 35-100. I m really tented by the Leica 50-200 but I don’t want to overlap ranges in this expensive telephoto lenses. Any suggestions?

Great choices! Surprisingly enough the 42.5mm f1.7 is my favorite so far, especially since I'm a 35mm shooter. 😮 It produces stunning results in street photography. 🎉

For my Gx9 I have the Panasonic 15 1.7, 25 1.4 and the kit zoom 12-60 3.5-5.6 and I couldn’t have been happier! Oh, and the 30 2.8 macro. Love the content of your channel.

Nice to see the GX9 getting some love. I tend to have more Olympus lenses which I use with my, with the exception being the 25mm f1.4 which I think is a fun lens to use. Will be adding the 14mm f2.5 in the not too distant future, so I am hoping that is a decent lens.

My Lumix GX85 three top lenses. Leica 25mm F1.4, Lumix 14mm F2.5 and Lumix 14-140mm F3.5-5.6

On my GX9 the three lenses are the 12-60 Lumix G version (not the Leica version), the 9mm and 20mm primes. The Lumix version of the 12-60 is quite lightweight and feels lovely a good balance with the GX9.

The Leica 9mm & 15mm f/1.7 are a must have Grant. As I shoot in aperture priority the aperture ring on the 15mm is a god sent. I just ordered the Leica 25mm f/1.4, one thing I learned there is two versions of that lens. Seems Lumix/Leica slipped a mark ii version of that lens without making a public announcement, this was done some time back in 2019. Something to watch out for ;)

I still have the GX85 as the small addition to the larger GH5 or now GH6. While the Leica 12-60 and the 12/1.4 are actually my most used lenses on the larger cameras, the first option for the GX85 is the 14mm/2.5 and the 20mm/1.7. They are perfect with the small size in the situations where I don't have a GH camera anyway.

I'm just about to trade in my Panasonic Leica 15mm for the 12-60 😄

I traded my Leica 12-60 for the Lumix 12-60, pretty much for reasons mentioned. Felt a little front heavy on my GX9, was great on G9. Haven't received Lumix 12-60 yet, but have watched a few comparison videos where it fared well enough with Leica version, so thought it was worth a punt. I'm hoping it will feel much lighter on GX9. Keep up the great work Grant!

@@MatthiasKozlowski I searched for "lumix 12-60 vs leica 12-60" and watched any vids that brought up (sulantoblog and The Hybrid Shooter to name a couple). Understand that I am not saying they are equal, Leica is better, but for me, not better in any meaningful way. I already have the 15mm, 25mm and 42.5 1.7 primes so I don't miss the slightly faster 2.8-4.0. The MFD is practically the same which is great for me, and I don't shoot video so not really worried about zoom smoothness, parfocal etc. Hope this helps. :D

My GX-8 has perpetually had 20mm 1.7 pancake mounted on it. When I take that off its either for oly 45mm 1.7 or 14-140 mk1 zoom. The 2.8 zooms aren’t as attractive nor other primes.
