It's interesting to see how clean these filmed V of Dooms were when they were much newer

A few of the VoD logos on some of my 16mm prints are surprisingly clean as well. Others, not so much. It all depends on the condition of the print and how much it’s been circulated.
@Luke25055 жыл бұрын
TheVintageTVArchive I suppose so. This print should be in decent condition today if it's not been binned as it was about 10 years old at the time of recording

Who knows, this particular print might have even been from the ‘80s. I have a few 16mm prints from the ‘80s, the newest being from 1988.

I never knew Viacom owned the B+W episodes, too. The V of Doom wasn't shown in it's entirety. It started in the middle and faded out early.

I honestly didn't know either until about a year or two ago. Back then, I assumed that since the B&W episodes were made by ABC, they wouldn't be syndicated by Viacom. I was wrong about that! In my opinion, I think transfers of these seasons exist because TV Land Canada showed them about a few years ago or so and they were a mix of prints which include Paramount's logo, Viacom's Wigga Wigga logo, and the Filmed V of Doom. That's sounds like a package Me-TV would air (in the case with Gunsmoke, where they air different packages with logos ranging from the V of Doom to the Paramount logo). I sure hope these transfers are still around. I'd love to see Me-TV or somebody air them. Also, I think old prints of Have Gun - Will Travel with the Filmed V of Doom still exist because Hallmark aired them about 10-15 years ago.

Yes, I didn't know that until a year or two ago. I was very surprised when I found some videos with episodes from The Hallmark Channel, before they crunched their whole credits.

You never know about the other 7 seasons of My Three Sons. Me-TV worked wonders when they got the first 2 season of Petticoat Junction, which were in B&W. Those were originally not available for syndication. As of 2009 (the update list on the CBS Syndication Bible), the other 7 seasons aren't available for syndication. It's been 6 years; maybe something has changed..

I know TV Land aired them years ago, but, I don't think they had any logos after the credits.
@travis73109 жыл бұрын
If they did, it was the Paramount logo.

Hey, did you know the copyright year to MTS is 1962? I saw it at the end of the credits. Btw, thanks for the upload, I wonder if MeTV will ever show black and white MTS episodes, I doubt that they will. Have a great evening!

I just ordered the complete series of "My Three Sons." The seller said they're TV recordings. Hopefully, there will be some Viacom logos, preferably the Pinball and V of Doom.

Great! Good luck to you in your findings! For some reason, I'm not getting notifications of new comments. I don't want to kill your joy, but let's hope that this closing as well as all other episodes here on KZbin aren't from the same set.

So far, all the ones on here are from TV Land, as far as the B+W episodes. Some were from a channel called Odyssey.
@TheVintageTVArchive8 жыл бұрын
Odyssey was what Hallmark Channel used to be called.

@TheVintageTVArchive7 жыл бұрын
Justin Fencsak If you're talking about "My Three Sons", masters sourced from 16mm prints would be the oldest, but I'm not sure if they still exist. We'll find out once Me-TV starts airing season 3, since seasons 1-2 have been restored. As of now, the oldest masters of MTS have the 1990 Viacom logo.
