Interesting to see ladies appearing at the countdown or at the end of the films I mean is it meant for color quality tests purposes using those ladies on a spite foot? (BTW I screenshot them)

Those were meant to be tests for skin tones and such.

TheVintageTVArchive that's what I been wondering and I think I recall when I was in school I think I remember seeing one of those similar lady pictures on one of those Smpte foot films which I thought it was from a piece of a news channel and there was a lady in her 60's on a news desk, the background was about light blue and then I was like "ok I thought the movie was over and where did that lady come from?"
