I “wake up” every morning after being awake with a new baby all night long, I get in a hot bath while my partner watches the baby, and I put on your daily video that I am SO so grateful for. 🙌 Thank you for doing these videos every day! They are helping me stay raw and show myself true self love and self care when I’m exhausted and just want to give up and eat junk. Also, since going raw it is like a miracle that when I go without sleep with my newborn, I am SOOO much more refreshed still than I used to be and SOOO much more refreshed than my partner is who get MORE sleep than I do but eats a high animal product low carb diet with coffee. Thank you thank you for everything you do and all the encouragement. It’s helping this new mama so much ❤️❤️❤️

Very good! This years theme for me is "back to basics," and "not one bite." Whatever I struggled with last year becomes the theme for the next year. And, because of these themes, I have been able to restart the weight loss and break the bad habits. Back to basics is self explanatory and not one bite, keeps me from sliding down that slippery slope. I can't even take one bite of an unauthorized food or its impossible to stop. This made it so easy to stay on track.

You make so much sense you are so knowledgeable your wisdom goes way beyond years of nutritional council that I received that has left me in a place of up and down dieting no self love just restrictions I am definitely ready to start my raw vegan lifestyle the thought of not being a slave to counting every calorie I eat. I am not overweight but got caught up in diet dollar coaster I always ate healthy ,no meat not processed exercise alot cardio and weight training and always restrictions from certain foods but still not felly great ...made several attempts at going raw but always failed .....I would gain weight on raw food so the would send me back to restrictioning my diet to under 1200 calories I have been dieting for 40 years and I am not overweight ...I just want to have a healthy mind and body which of your books are available on Amazon I want a hard cover and what are the names I definitely want the dips and dressing book please let me know Thank you Elaine

So happy to hear from you! The best advice is to be as consistent as possible and stay low fat while eating an abundance of calories. As for the amazon print books, You can search my author names “Melissa Raimondi” and “Melissa Maris” ❤️ there should be 5 listings altogether

Yessss, the hairties are a big no no's. Especially in wet hair. And then also heatstyling. And the combo of those two:🤯💇🏻♀️ Only half way trough the video yet but like it so much so far. Especially what you said about our anchesters and how they lived and what we can take away from that and so on. Thank you. Oh, and...the adding in of more variety is going great. But...I think while your still working on it your microbiome changes so fast. Like I was totally fine eating white cabbage but after a few days of being sick and eating mostly smoothiebowls my body seemed really offended with the same amount of white cabbage I succesfully worked up to. So lesson here is, dial it back and slowly add in again.

Hey Lissa! Can you share your opinion+reasons for being against intermittent fasting? I think you mentioned that maybe a few videos ago? So I'm guessing also you don't follow a pattern like that? All just questions for curiosity on what you found works best for you. :)
@RawFoodRomance4 жыл бұрын
Heya!! Well we all intermittent fasting anyways over night. There is no need to see how short a window can be or use the label and follow a pattern. I feel it creates a disordered pattern and can lead to eating disorders. I have not seen enough reliable science. The stuff that’s solid is that a) we should not eat late before bed and b) eat big meals early in the morning... but that’s just natural anyways and I don’t follow any eating patterns except making sure I eat enough and that means not tightening my window. ❤️ hope that makes sense!
@sammakesitsimple4 жыл бұрын
Wonderful thoughts. Thank you for sharing. That was helpful, another perspective to consider (as I've recently only seen supporters and not so much people who logically have reason not to go with that pattern) :)

what would be a better alternative to eating a julienned raw sweet potato in a salad?

I do squash - it's actually a fruit!
@RawFoodRomance4 жыл бұрын
Squash is a fruit, but honestly I’d find some Mamey Sapote order from miamifruit.org?aff=51 or sometime Asian markets have them or can order them... it’s a soft fruit and tastes almost EXACTLY like a soft cooked sweet potato
