Everyone hates on Lords of the Fallen. People go out of their way to hate it. It has its flaws , but it's a good game. You can tell the developer has lots of love for the side genre. Any Souls fan that loves Soul Reaver needs to play it. It had its problems at launch, but they have done wonders to make it right.

Lords of the Fallen 2023 is one of my favorite games ever and I've been gaming since NES, and love souls games

Great list! I feel like Jedi Survivor could've squeezed in there. But love that Surge 2 is here. The combat is possibly the "most fun" of all Souls games.

Yeah there's really something special about that dismemberment system. I personally don't think Jedi Fallen Order / Survivor are soulslikes but instead have alot of influences from souls. Thanks for watching and hope you're doing well.

Love this list, played almost all of them as I love the genre. I enjoyed Remnant 1 too (still need to play 2), Surge 1 (I think I preferred this over the 2nd), Lords Of The fallen, some of the more metroidvania souls like HK, Blasphemous, Ender Lilies, Salt n Sanctuary to name a few. Star Wars. Nioh 1 / 2 are #1 for me tho just amazing games with incredible in-depth combat.

I know wu Kong isn't necessarily a souls like but wu Kong is my number 1 then lies of p. Those two games are amazing. Haven't played through crabs treasure fully but it's really fun

Have you every tried Ashen, Most underrated game ever and a phenomenal soulslike in my opinion, I also love the two jedi games which are soulslikes

Interestingly enough many of these games have bad to average reviews on Steam. Souls players are the most picky gamers there are.

Sitting in my wishlist: 10, 9, 8, 5, 3, Honourable mention 1. Some of these will never progress past my wishlist. Played, liked: 7. Played, liked more: 6 (still a large backwards step from it's predecessor), Honourable mention 2. Basically trash, developer has potential though: 4, 1. Highly overrated if the demo was anything to go by: 2. Never heard of: Honourable mention 3. The Surge, and Ashen are 2 obvious games missing, a personal list though. 2 games with the same name would often be on this list, as would mortal shell.

I agree that all the games you listed are good to great soulslikes, but I gotta ask you, where in the world is Black Myth Wukong? If Remnant 2 is listed as a soulslike, which is another great soulslike missing in this video, than BMW definitely is too and should be here. Also, you somehow have Bleak Faith: Forsaken on your list and even Hellpoint and Codex Lost as honorable mentions (all 3 decent), but not Mortal Shell or Lords Of The Fallen? I get that all this is just your opinion, but still, do you really think BF Forsaken, Hellpoint, and Codex Lost beat out LOTF, Mortal Shell, Wukong, and Remnant 2? No hate, just so you know, I'm just curious what you think on that.

So I did mention Remnant 2 in a pinned comment, I know it's dubbed Dark Souls with guns but that game is more roguelike than anything I think. And personally I don't feel Black Myth Wukong is s soulslike, it's just a straight up action RPG like God of War, is GoW a soulslike? Personally I wasn't a massive fan of Mortal Shell, and the newest LoTF was ok, but by the end I just wanted it to be over, enemy variety was severely lacking in that game for as big as it was. If you liked Nioh 2 and Wo Long you'll probably like Stranger of Paradise. Same deal when it comes to loot and build variety. I'd say I rank it over Wo Long because it has more combat depth.

@Ocean5ix ill give it a try, from what I've seen and heard it's seems more like Devil May Cry than anything, not that it's a bad thing just haven't gotten around to playing it. Especially since Final Fantasy is in the title, I have never played an FF game and probably never will since I'm 16 games behind 🤣🤣
