I finished Best Hex Ever just today, and absolutely adored it, it was just so friggin cozy. Love those kinds of books. I would also recommend the Nocturne Falls series by Kristen Painter, if you're up for a bit of a Halloweentown vibe. I think the fantasy/paranormal romance line tends to be that paranormal leans towards more of a dark edge to things or has a bit of a supernatural horror movie feel to how they handle that aspect of things.

Loveee seeing you talk about Effie Calvin and Grace Draven, not enough people talk about them and you introduced me to both and I just love them. I also really loved Heart’s Blood by Juliet Marillier, and I recommend it if you haven’t read it yet. I still need to get to the 4th, 5th, and 6th Sevenwaters books since I read the first three when they were a trilogy. This might be a stretch, but it has magic and romance so I’m counting it! If you haven’t read The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston, I highly recommend it, I fell in love with it.

I adore Grace Draven. I thought Eidolon was going to be kind of dry, as it seemed to focus on the politics and saving the world, but the book carried such a gut punch for me between the couple, thinking that their love might have to be sacrificed for the good of the world. I've also read the Sarah Hawley books, though I am waiting for the third book (werewolf) from my library -- I put it on hold last August! My go-to recommendation is always T Kingfisher. Swordheart is my #1 suggestion -- it's funny and romantic and surprising -- just a gem! But the Paladin series, particularly the first book, Paladin's Grace, is wonderful. Actually, I could recommend dozens of T Kingfisher's books for this genre. She's my favorite contemporary author.

I adore T Kingfisher's horror and fairy tale retellings but I have SLEPT on her romantic fantasy. I just saw new covers have been announced for the Paladin's Grace series though so I think it's time aha.

Loved this video definitely at some to my list and some i was introduced to them in the past by you and I abloustley loved. Even got my Grandma a copy of Daughter of the Forest and Wildwood Dancing, after she loved Heart's Blood by her. I've been slowly sharing fantasy/magical books with her.

I'm currently in a huge fantasy romance mood so this video comes at the perfect time. So many great recommendations~ My go-to high fantasy romance is "An Enchantment of Ravens" by Margaret Rogerson which I read based on a 1-star review and absolutely loved it. For a more modern witchy read I'd recommend "Don't Hex and Drive" by Juliette Cross. It's part of the Stay a Spell series but the series is a bit hit and miss for me. This one is my absoulte favourite though. T. Kingfisher and A.K. Caggiano have already been recommended in other comments but I'd like to emphasize how good "Bound to Fall" by A.K. Caggiano is. It's a spin-off from her Villains & Virtues series but I read it as a standalone just fine. If you're looking for more comedic fantasy romance don't miss these upcoming releases: "Behooved" by M. Stevenson (May 2025) "The Irresistible Urge to Fall for Your Enemy" by Brigitte Knightley (July 2025) "Medievally Blonde" by Cait Jacobs (July 2025) Also Kimberly Lemming is releasing her first scifi romance in about two weeks (February 18th) called "I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I'm Trapped in a Rom-Com". Can't wait~

Unfortunately can’t help with your search for new titles TOO much because my two biggest favs are recommendations I got from you! Radiance and the Garoureve series . One other I personally enjoyed was the bridge kingdom, but it’s definitely a different vibe than the ones you discussed in this video and I’m not sure how to articulate what I mean or why exactly but id place it more on the ACOTAR side of fantasy romance if that makes sense?

Have you read the villains and virtues series by A K Caggiano? It is such an underrated comedy romantasy series. When I discovered it I couldn't believe people didn't know about it. The author writes the most delicious self awareness/fourth wall moments into the books.
