Okay, I think you convinced me to read The Shadw of What Was Lost! I don't like anything that has to do with time either, so I've been scared to pick this one up. I'm planning on reading Empire of Exiles and The Spellshop soon and this video has got me hyped for them.

The Spellshop is on my top list too! My favorite read of the year is a novelette called "The Year Without Sunshine" by Naomi Novik. You should be able to find it online. Yes, a novelette beat out novels this year for me.

@@jennsbookshelf_ Yeah! They won the Self-Published Science Fiction Contest, Year 2. Shortly before being announced as a finalist for that contest they got their publishing offer. They have a really good blog piece about it.
