I seem to resonate with your tastes in video games. It's so rare to see someone who evaluates video games as an art form while considering all the aspects that makes the medium unique like the narrative and the gameplay. Most I see have this gameplay over narrative mentality. Like what Yoko Taro says, gameplay and story isn't the priority in a game. But the emotion a game brings. Or something like that lol. You earned a sub man! Great video!

I don't want to do this knowing how badly I got sucked into it, but you can give "spiderweb software" games a try. Like Avadon series and others! Just a caution though, you may not like many of the "common" games afterwards! 👌😅

I really recommend you playing Outer Wilds. Talk about games i wish i could play again for the first time, not knowing anything about it... yeah, Outer Wilds has to be the king of that. Spoilers about this game cannot only ruin your experience, but also make the game completely unplayable. It is one of those games where you have to go in completly blind, and dude, it was so worth it for me. Both the main game and its DLC are just amazing, a trully special journey

I know opinions are subjective, but I’ve never seen a more overhyped game than Elden Ring. Like it’s good, but it’s not even close to being the best From Software game. It’s just mind boggling how many gamers have it in their top 10 of all time despite its shortcomings and flaws.

why's that? I've played DS3, it was fun I guess, DS1, i did not like it at all and Sekiro, amazing game, but Elden Ring is still by far the best in my opinion overall.

That's a really cool list! I respect the abundance of indie games in here My top 10 would look something like this: 10 - Darkwood 9 - Frostpunk 8 - Hollow Knight 7 - Soma 6 - Journey 5 - Outer Wilds 4 - Disco Elysium 3 - Witcher 3 2 - Skyrim 1 - Souls games (can't decide which is my favourite so I'm putting them all here)

It's nuts that people ask why you haven't got X or Y on YOUR list lmao. It's basically saying 'why are your feeling and opinions not the same as mine?' ... yet that's obviously an insane question. That being said, why no Minecraft ?!?!! Great video btw... the 'After 20 Years of Gaming' was a killer choice of title. The Thumbnail looks like it just says '10 games' unless you focus on it properly; maybe just put that in white as well, so that people definitely see it while scrolling. P.s in beyond 2 souls, the chapter with the homeless and the fire was crazy heavy....awesome game! Detroit: Become Human is on par with it for me.

I can't speak for him, but I couldn't push through the repetitive and clunky combat loop of the witcher 3 just for the sake of the story (which is great btw). I really hope they make a more rewarding combat loop in witcher 4.

It wouldn't be on my list either tbh. I've tried to play it 3 times. Each time I kept thinking, 'why is this not this incredible game that everybody loves....why is the combat awkward and the controls like peanut butter'... I'm confident I'll finally get into it one day and ill probably love it, but thus far, it wouldn't even be on my top 250 games lol. I finished Witcher 1 back in the day though, cool game.

Every time you mentioned a new game that wasn't the greatest game of all time, Cuphead, I gripped my desk tighter in pure panic. "Surely he'll leave it for number 1..." I thought to myself. I tried the breathing exercises my therapist told me about to calm down, but nothing worked. Sweat beaded down my back. And then, finally, you got to the last spot. By the time you uttered the first syllable, a H not a C, I was done. I screamed and raged. You're so fucking stupid. I'm not ashamed to admit that I cried, right there at my ergonomic standing desk. How can you not like the incredible gameplay of Cuphead? The breathtaking story? Are you stupid or just willfully ignorant? I don't know, and frankly, I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. I DON'T. God I hate you so much. Disliked, unsubbed, and reported for misinformation. If you make an apology video, I might resub. Maybe. I feel pretty wounded right now.

Ive only been alive for like 21 years, not sure how long ive been playing games, but these are my top 10 at least xD. 10: ARK: Survival Evolved 9: Divinity Original Sin 1 8: Witcher 1 7: Life is Strange 6: The legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 5: The legend of Zelda: Breath of the wild 4: Elden Ring (playing that one right now. Like, it's literally on while writing this) 3: Divinity Original Sin 2 2: Baldurs Gate 3 1: Dark Souls 1 (I don't think it'd be here as a replay, but my first epxerience playing ds1 really is just my facourite experience in video game history. It really felt like a real adventure like no other, and it was my first souls game ever as well) Honorable mention goes to Overwatch, but most of my enjoyment came from the friends I made in the game, and my english learning journey, rather than the game itself.
