18:05 that’s me everyday when i sit down to study and then my attention wanders off to how beautiful my Tissot prx powermatic 80 40mm looks on my wrist , ohh look at that sunburst blue waffle dial ,oh man look that those beautiful polished thin hour markers and how it reflects light in various angles, oh look that the light reflecting off the faceted integrated bracelet as i do a wrist roll like 10 times :)

I love how an expresso coffee company has jumped on your advert stream.. My father has a great Olympia program from the 70s where bill pearl and Arnold are standing together on the front cover.. Arnold has signed the program.. but here’s the kicker he signed his name over bill 😂 so not to ruin his own image.

Since you love the 70s, I’m surprised you don’t have any vintage Seiko’s. Or if you want the look without the cost, have a look at the SRPK17 😊

Ciao Jeff and a belated happy new year to you and your family. Sorry to hear about your ordeal with your mother during the pandemic. that is just awful. I had a loved one pass way during that time too and I was unable to fly to say my farewell as Italy was in lock down. I can appreciate how difficult it was and you are not alone. I'm not sure what is worse, saying goodby or not being able to. Loving the watch goals btw. PRICELESS. Just out of interest, so forgive me if this is a little forward, but as you were on the subject of health and you mentioned wine, do you drink only with meals? It you go to a social function, would you drink beer or something stronger, like a cocktail? As for G-shocks, I seriously believe if you spent a week with the right one, you would be hooked. They are AMAMZING and far cheaper addiction 😉🤣. P.s. @15:48 dying, 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I get that comment everyday!!!!! That voice is exactly how I read those comments.

Thanks for your kind words. I only drink a glass with dinner when I'm at home because I can't drive with even one glass. My brother made me something called an Old Fashioned once and I loved it so much it scared me, so something that potent is for only once a year. If I went to the gym (I train in my garage), I'd get a G-Shock Rangeman, which I believe has remained unchanged for close to a decade. I may have to get one eventually. Best.

Man, thanks for sharing and being so candid. I can relate, on too many things.. yet, take the blood pressure issue seriously.. I was 39 when I got a full heart attack, the type that statistically kills 1 of 2 man that experience it. I was lucky. And I had the very best doctor saving my life. I turned my life around since. And it wasn’t because I didn’t exercise or was overweight, smoking, eating terribly. I took life way too deeply and personally. For years doctors ignored my high blood pressure as “white gown syndrome”🤷🏼♂️🙄. Until it nearly killed me. Btw, I still have anxiety attacks, almost daily. I handle with them by myself. Last point-I kinda hide my purchases from my wife…..

McMahon! ... legend!, and as always so relatable! Watches coffee, anxiety, blood pressure ... I feel ya. I quite coffee for 10 years, but im back on it, but NEVER after 12pm. Afternoon blood pressure is always higher, and its ok for it to blip up, its when it stays high that you should have concerns. I also get white coat syndrome, so its higher first time its taken. I got some palpatations over the holiday season, they suck ... too much indulgence ... maybe back to decaf for a stint perhaps. Re gshock, get a newer square for the gym with blutooth that gets time sync'd from your smartphone, still a "dumb" watch, but sets it all for you or you can use the app. That or a basic garmin. Glad to see the SPB is surviving!, looks great on the og strap.

Go Decaf, I've been Decaf for a year now... Or I take Non-Decaf before 3pm, but never more than 1 per day of Non-Decaf. Pretty sure it lowered my blood pressure, and it definitely improved my tinnitus.

Great video, Jeff. Mix in some ashwaganda and lay off the creatine - the latter causes your muscles to simply fill with water - excess water retention equals high blood pressure every time; however, the former is a natural anti-inflammatory and reduces cortisol(the stress hormone) production in the body. Men our age should take it, DHEA, DIM, Tribulus terrestris and an amino acid supplement ( I take NOW's Amino Complete every day, too. As always, love your channel.

Always an entertaining listen from the Jeffmaster. I sated my watch lust with a grail, which I wear and adore. I watch review videos of it whilst brushing my teeth in the evening, so I can admire it on screen whilst wearing it. That, surely, is some kind of sickness that only the depraved watch community could understand.
@watchchimp31028 ай бұрын
It kinda blows my mind sometimes listening to you make these videos! 🤯 Everytime I think of the similarities between our lives it is pretty uncanny considering I'm in Texas and you in Cali. I also lost my mother a little over 2 years ago during Covid. My sister and I had driven out just a few months before and like you our last visit was with a senior care window between us in Fresno. 😢 Although it was kind of sad it wasn't too bad because she was so far gone she didn't even know who we were! 😕 Still, sorry for your loss!😢

Always a hidden gem in your video essays. Good luck with the BP reduction. Get some miles in walking Jeff, always good for you. Just cut down on the Caffeine, it will reduce I’m sure. Watch goals, well I feel like I have already hit the back of the net. I got rid of my large collection by buying a smart watch (yes I know). I now just have one formal watch, one everyday and one so called beater, that’s it. However I seem to be wearing the smart watch instead. It is an addiction, it calls for a tough course of action. Good luck with your goals everyone.

Goal 1 is perfect. I bought my first expensive watch - a Speedy (now sold) 4 years ago, and because I couldn't afford it, I kept it in a drawer for 3 months, never told my girlfriend... the shame crushed my soul, and the truth came out eventually... the watch is now sold 😅 never again

- According to Dr. Peter Attia, the proper way to take your blood pressure is sit in a chair and relax for five minutes, then take your blood pressure, then again at 10 minutes, and again at 15 minutes, and find the average of the three. He also says position the cuff 2 inches up from your elbow and have arm at about the height of your heart, (paraphrasing). This is from his recent appearance on the “find your fitness” KZbin channel with Dr. Rhonda Patrick.

Just take your blood pressure before you drink your coffee in the morning. If it’s higher than you’d like, don’t drink coffee that day. You can only have 1 coffee per day. Or you can switch to decaf if you just want the taste. Decaf has been getting better.
@pureblood83078 ай бұрын
Blood pressure will increase with age, full stop. Stress and anxiety are the worst things though. 120 / 80 is nearly impossible for over 60s unless you’re a monk in a monastery. The pharmaceutical industry changed the original 140/90 in the 1990s to sell statins
@dblh848 ай бұрын
Actually, that's when they started schlepping beta blockers to folks. Cholesterol being "too high" is what prompted doctors to start the statin madness.

Jeff I know you aren’t into the whole religion thing, but I am Catholic. Man I am only 30 and I already have the watch bug. I was thinking for Lent I would do a watch detox and only wear one watch. I think I might even make it something super simple like my SKX009. Maybe it will make me appreciate my Omega more and stop looking at other watches.

I don’t believe coffee is causing your BP spikes. Just by watching you in this video I can see how you are causing your own anxiety and anxiety causing your BP as a chain reaction. Maybe if you stop dwelling on the things you don’t have and love more the ones you already have on hand. I only have 3 watches and feel so complete and satisfied just by wearing it and be able to get a lot of wrist time on it. Sometimes one watch is just enough.

I need to lose some weight though , and thats my main goal for this year . Im 6ft 1 and about 17 st 10. Id like to get down to about 16 ideally , or less. Hopefully it will lower my BP naturally, my weakness is beer !!! We can only try jeff !!!

Coffee situation: one cup a day. Blood pressure situation: No matter what I tried (more exercise, giving up coffee, losing weight) it didn't work. Only medication brought the readings down to non-frightening levels. It's a matter of age and genetics, I'm afraid. Watch situation: At stasis point. No intention to buy anything in the coming year. Yeah, it's easy to look at the shiny things on the internet and dream but in the end, it wasn't fulfilling for me. Five mechanicals, two G-Shocks, and an Apple Watch are doing it for me. I don't see that changing much, if ever.

I prefer Seiko than Panerai. I had many PAM in the past but not anymore. Maybe Arnold dislikes Panerai and brings it to the gym cause he doesn't care to destroy it😂 He takes care of his Seiko's for sure )
@steelsteez61187 ай бұрын
unfortunately i dont think Arnold owns any Seiko anymore 😂. That was the 70s bro, when he was just starting out and wasn't a big star yet. These days his loyalties lie with AP and all he's seen wearing these days is AP, Rolex, Panerai, Zenith, etc. I think those Seikos are long gone from his collections 😂.
