FINALLY someone mentions In Hearts Wake! Make Them Suffer I can't agree on though, I expected way more and was disappointed. As singles they were great, but it fell flat as an album. Its gonna be so hard to top How To Survive A Funeral. Not super objective, but based heavily on what I've been digging/listening the most: 1. Poppy - Negative Spaces 2. BMTH - Nex Gen 3. Bilmuri - American Motor Sports (I was about to put this lower but 4 out of 5 top songs in my Wrapped was Bilmuri LMAO) 4. Make them Suffer (Biased a bit by the fact that they put on the fucking best high energy live metal show I've ever seen opening for Erra this summer) 5. Ankor - Shoganai 6. LP - From Zero 7. AURORA - What Happened to the Heart? 8. Knocked Loose - YWGBYST 9. Erra - CURE 10. Allt - From the New World 11. The Arcane season 2 soundtrack (😢) Honorable mention that technically came out last year: Chappell Roan - The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. I've listened to this album a lot lol. Also, it's always funny comparing to youtubers that rigorously investigate new music because there's like 50-60% of my listening this year was music from the last couple years, not 2024.

Make Them Suffer absolutely destroyed when I saw them open for Erra this year as well! I can't wait to see them headline in a few months, their show was unreal! And I feel that, most of my Spotify wrapped were songs from years ago lmao

BRO I am so glad Falling In Reverse wasn't in the actual list 😭😭😭 Anyways, my top 3 are all different genres. 1. Magdalena Bay - Imaginal Disk (Such a great synth-pop/classic rock sounding album. I really wasn't expecting to enjoy this album like I did, but god it's just so fricken good) 2. Knocked Loose - You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To (Such a tightly woven record with super clean production. I was a KL hater before this album) 3. Kendrick Lamar - GNX (This dude has had a hell of a year. Despite being way more straightforward than his previous albums, it's sequenced so well)

I had to put albums in the thumbnail that didn't spoil my list but that made a huge impact on the year, Linkin Parks album did make my top 15 either and I love that album, I've covered FIR for years and I've always enjoyed listening to their music even if a lot of it isn't my cup of tea, making jokes about music does not equal hating or rudeness!

@ oh no I agree, even Ronnie laughs at the lyrics he wrote back in the day.. regardless I love the band new and old, Ronnie can say stuff that’s out of pocket sometimes but I don’t take it all as serious because he jokes a lot!
