Coach! I've been watching your content a while now not soon after you've started. I've seen your discontent and frustration in your content. espcially in your last video. You really care about the community and your content is so new and so extensive. Nobody does it like you and I hope you create a new norm. In my perspective, I learned a lot about this game and how to handle my laning from your content. I learned the basics of macro from it as well but really i learned shit like trading, wave management. I feel like all that has improved on many many levels and have such a better understanding of the fundamentals. You've also taught me A LOT about champion identity, win conditions/ identifying win cons. I'm really interested in digesting this video to really help me translate the leads i've acquired from the strong laning. I think a lot of this stuff is some of the things i've been struggling with . Like gold recalls. timing my resets with objectives and tempo tracking. (recently started to understand tempo on my opponents and it's helping me play against assasin match ups. Often times in low elo I can kill my laner but not recalling instantly giving them tempo and they can get a kill). I find that just like you say in your video (my metaphor is it's all dance) and I feel like even tho i'm much more intential laning phases I feel like because i'm not doing it all properly I haven't received as much results in my games to really carry. I think if you're wondering why people are n't climbing from your content I find that to be my biggest weakness. I think this video ill be good for me to really put the pieces together and really be able to push and stomp games. Thank you!

13. is literally me testerday throwing my 2/0 lead in the mid lane as Qiyana vs Sylas. I was prepping a guy to all in, just waiting a couple seconds for my ignite to come back. I tunnel visioned too much, forgot that he’s premade with support, didn’t even notice him going through a ward in the river and got ganked, died and threw my lead. And I was so angry about it, about myself and about my premade support that didn’t say anything about MIA enemy. I tilt easily after having a perfect early game and throwing it away, still working on it. Thanks for helping me understand my mistakes, getting better everyday, Curtis. Recently I discovered you and after eating a lot of information from your channel I recently won lane in 9 out of 10 matches (won 7 games) with a champion I never played in mid lane. I used to play Qiyana jungle when she was at her best. Thanks again Curtis, looking forward to get that sweet diamond next year 🙌🏼

Havent even watched it yet (I'm excited), but I just wanna mention how Its amazing how proguides and all those other famous educational league channels always make "top 15 tips for x!" in 10 minutes, or max a 20 minutes video Yet here you are with 15 tips in MORE THAN AN HOUR. Its always just so much better, and I get it, most people are lazy to sit for an hour for 15 tips about being fed, so thats why the other lazy channels have more subs, but you really do deserve more. (I feel somewhat special and glad that I have you as a secret weapon while most people dont-) but still. Love your great work man it proves how you cant learn the game in some 10 min videos. Your guides are the best Edit: I loved it. I especially loved all the examples. Amazing content

THANK YOU Coach Curtis, and I can finally say about myself, when I'm looking at video about translating leads "Hey I know how to do that!" Great thanks to you for the mid fundamentals content (mainly because of my duo, who is mid main and I constantly review your videos with him) . There is so much content in YT for LoL, some will teach you how to abuse solo q mistakes, some will teach you about what is most optimal gameplay, even though it's rarely the case in solo q. And then there is you my man! Your videos are so descriptive and detailed that you can actually name them Fundamental LoL Methodology. Glad people with your patience and passion exist!

This is great. One of my flaws is throwing my lead. I’ve become a pretty good duelist and can get ahead of my laner most games but I crash hard too much in the mid/late game. I try to vod review what went wrong but there’s a lot to look at. It’s not like I can go “missed my Q” “didn’t respect the ignite” like I do with dueling. But this list is a great starting point and tool for review. I’m definitely gonna go through this in depth and write a list so I can check my games and find my most common mistakes and iron them out one-by-one by frequency. I can already remember a few times where I’ve made these mistakes. Compensating especially. Naturally wanting to be helpful, I’ve improved a bit by keeping in my head as a bad situation plays out “Don’t go over. Don’t go over. It won’t change anything. Too risky. Don’t do it. You’ll just make it worse.” and not giving up a lead and it always works out because whatever they gained by me not being there is often taken away later at the *right* time this time.

You give better detailed info and even with easy to follow bullet points with replays and examples better as well as easier to understand than most of the courses from pay courses like proguides Also i love that you have yours split into nice sections so you can replay chapters that you want to focus on making it easier to work on each chapter one at a time in my own games!

@CoachCurtis4 жыл бұрын
My pleasure David :) I think Swain is more of a top pick at the moment due to Swains lack of range and lack of reliable damage. I also think that the Akali nerfs aren't too bad honestly, It will effect the breakpoint in which you can 1 shot the ranged creeps, but not significantly

I'm going to go ahead an say this is probably what I needed before I watching this. In low elo while climbing, every so often I go 6/0 in lane as like Annie or Akali, but the jungler doesn't play around my roams, or I myself can't make a dent in the lead they got.

Anyways great video and you are doing great content please continue ^^
@jesuskujo3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate that you shared with us the "small wins mentality" but honestly I don't think that I can implement that into my games yet. This really feels like a very advanced thing to do. As example, when you showed the Orianna vs Akali clip, I knew that I would've all in on that Akali even if I knew the small wins mentality. To use this mindset you need to have a good understanding of the game, for me I would've thought that I just wasted my ult without killing Akali. Sure I would've had tempo over her but she'll get level 6 of the wave and I'm gonna be vulnerable for the next minute of the lane. You are right with what you said but I wouldn't be able to see that as a gold player. So yes this is a very good tip but it's an advanced one that needs high game understanding.

Mines takes on this video: - unfortunately as im lowelo and better jungle than anyone else on my elo, i long decided that when i get a call on a gank i will pass. This because when they make the call to gank my line and i setup for a gank, they never showed or fail to do it the right time (with consecuences like die-ing a lot , being put on a position where i have to take damage like a tank to luckily give away my "to-be" kill to my jungle instead or directly to find out that the gank didnt work ""all summoners and objetives alives and up"). -when i want to be proactive on a game i have to writte, ping and flamme my teammates in order to take them out of the tunnel vision of themselves, also tell them what to do, what to buy or how to play a champ, so this is absolutely stressing, to the point that i have to play assasins to have good kda and tell them off (follow me cause im feed, follow only my pings). -When on a game, best check the team composition from the begining so you plan your play from ahead, if they need an assasin, a tank or an APdamage. (Zed, Galio, Oriana). Call them out and report them if they pick troll (not suitable picks, rare picks/exotics or simply if you have a comp of early game champs and one of your teammates choose a late game champ). I usually play for the early game, but if the team plays for late game i change my runes acordingly. Happens to me that Kayle's top always 40min without impact and the game is already decided sooner, so IF i see on my team i report troll pick. -Pushing limits = Trolling. Period. IF you are a lowelo player, play safe all the time till you have a better understanding on what to do and what not to. Happens always that they believe they have tryndamere R as a pasive and play Yasuo's mid/top/jungle/adc (sup if with yone) dies and blames the team because lack of awareness on map (me ping, but you ward and look at the map too). - Use of mute for ppl that are toxic/flammers or just plain noobs that blames team for their lack of... lets say everything. A one hour video that took me 2 hours to study and still have to put onto actions. Good day sir.

@@CoachCurtis The Small Wins was super cool too. I think like watching Dopa a lot, and some of Mid Beasts analysis of certain mids and matchups, I started to see like these good trades that the players would get, but they wouldn't tunnel and overcommit for the big win (kill) or potential throwing that small win with a big loss due to overcommitment, instead they used the chunk to get tempo, which translated into all sorts of things (vision, roam, ability to support jgl). I could never really understand what I was seeing, but your small wins section really put it into perspective for me in a way that my brain could sort of quantify it, if that makes sense lol. Edit: Sort of like aiming for the consistent lay-up over attempting to nail 3-pointers all the time (basketball reference).
