i feel like melotron v, ana 2 and especially trilian are really underrated and often overlooked. i use the moog bases in trilian in every beat i make. especially in my last one it made the whole beat so much better

I feel like a lot of fruity stock plugins are slept on (fruity convolver, edison, fruity peak controller, ogun/autogun, to name a few). Harmless and Sytrus are amazing, and if you can learn Harmor, you're a sound wizard

I think the most slept on of the bunch is patcher. Maybe it’s a cop out because it’s not technically “one”, but when you finally feel the need for really intricate sound design patches has the utmost control. I just wished they updated it more.

Vital is extremely similar to serum and I would say it’s competitive. Vital has things that serum doesn’t and vice versa. An example is the powerful collection of filters in serum and the third oscillator or random values in vital.

The most underrated free plugins I use are definitely OrilRiver and Free Clip. OrilRiver is my favorite reverb and I'd probably still use it even if I had Valhalla reverbs. Free Clip is probably the best soft clipper I've ever used as well. Sounds so good.

Great plugins for Delay, Reverbs -> Valhalla (extremly low CPU but great sounding which is a big +). One of the best synths -> Phaseplant (also extremly fun to make sounds with because its semi modular)

Diva, which is sooo great I love it, has a really nice free trial version just with some crackling noises every 2 min or so. But totally worth it, just render out the midi once you done playing in stuff
