I recently got into Boris as well and holy shit the stuff I’ve heard so far is insane, I’ll def check out Feedbacker next. My favourite album this year is probably Hopetrain to Universe by Yo, it’s just absurdly good.

Love the DDS and Chuck Person shout, hope to see more vaporwave related stuff soon, Feedbacker is great and I def need to relisten to it again, same for Masked Dancers, I also see myself putting that above Discomfort but I need to relisten to that album as well

Fire list, Masked Dancers was also my favorite first listen of the year. I listened to discomfort a while back and loved it but masked dancers was an immediate top 10 album when I finished it. I love the story it tells and the way it all flows together is perfect. Also if you like the FLCL soundtrack I def recommend checking out some of the pillows other albums. Some of my favorites are Thank you My Twilight, Please Mr Lostman, and Happy Bivouac, but everything in between those first 2 is worth a listen imo, peak J rock.

in terms of albums that grew on me the most: room on fire, by the strokes pisces iscariot, by the smashing pumpkins stratosphere, by duster i inside the old year dying, by pj harvey the clocktower at the beach, by william basinki movement, by new order TPAB, kendrick lamar. i only began to understand what he's talking about this year and i became impressd by it. possibly top 10 all time for me now. abysskiss, by adrienne lenker laughing stock, by talk talk. the album began to hit me very hard once i learned about mark hollis and understood the feelings behind the project. another possible top 10 all timer. pain is beauty, by chelsea wolfe the great annihilator, by swans, the unnatural world, by have a nice life public castration is a good idea, by swans heaven or las vegas, by cocteau twins dead can dance, by dead can dance i saw the sun, by slowdive
