Another great video and your narration is great. I still think a few less trail maps and a lot more skiing would enhance it just a bit. I am going to have to find you a pair of Zeal HD2 video ski goggles like mine........wait a minute that means I would be in fewer of your videos. Let me think about that!!!!!

It is tough to stop skiing long enough to get video but I agree about less trail maps.

Loved it! Extra thousand feet of elevation over Park City and Deer Valley says it all.

if you're going to ski the ice coast then you need to be prepared for any conditions. bluebird days are few and far between here.

definitely aspen snowmass for me mainly because i live in the east and out west skiing is wildly better

Thanks for the comment. I like Aspen too.

Heading east, your best chance for decent conditions will be at Jay. Otherwise, you're at the mercy of the weather. Even my best days in the east you could feel the ice underneath in places.

Ive been to park city a bunch of times and I think it is worth a visit because of the sheer size and the great terrain parks, and there are a lot of short hikes which lead to untouched powder. However, of every outwest ski resort it is by far the easiest, and despite being massive 95% of the double blacks should be single blacks

Park City is massive and has a lot to offer. It appears in my next video which I am trying to get out this week. Thanks for watching.

The top 5 places with the worst locals would be an awesome list.
@matthewbennettutah2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I am a horrible local and so anywhere I call myself a local would be on that list. While I have no problem recognizing I am horrible, there are others that might get offended when I call out their local hill. You are right though that done in the right way, it would be an awesome list.

Once again, I like your videos because every place you ever mention is on my list to visit and, of course your quality content production! As an eastern skier (Sugarbush is home) I often ask myself what does skiing the east have to offer the western skier? It's difficult to understand if you if you don't live here. I'd have to say the short answer is the terrain. It is so alien to the western skier. The way that the trails are cut on these old mountains, the way the top of the mountain is thick frosted spruce going down into the hard woods. The wildlife, the smells of forest. It's just different from the west. Maybe, you have an answer? There's no such thing as a bad day skiing! Whether the conditions are fresh, hard pack or ice we in the east learn to find where the best turns are. And we're always motivated to be better skiers than we are.

Thanks for the kind words. As for what the East has to offer, there is a charm associated with it not found in the West. I like the description of the description of the trees and how they change. You are right in that there is no such thing as a bad day skiing.

My daughter who is a ski instructor at Alta had the chance to work in New Zealand for our summer only to get locked out because of COVID. I had planned to go down and spend some time skiing there but will have to make an extra effort in the future. I understand skiing in New Zealand is not to be missed.

Was a ski instructor on Mt. Ruapehu for a season. Southern Alps were much better. I’d take Vail, Snowbird and Powder Mountain over it. The Remarkable’s in Queenstown are just that.
