Tsu-ku-shi = "tsu" (as in "tsunami" - has a short, very slight "t" sound before the "soo" sound. But the two sounds are sounded together, not as two separate sounds. So not "too-soo" but one syllable = "tsu") "ku" (as in COO-coo ca-choo) and "shi" (like "banSHEE") Just take it slowly...one syllable at a time.... Tsu-ku-shi.👍🏻 P.S. I enjoy your videos. I especially enjoy when KZbinrs share their favorites and why. My favorite ink is Akkerman's SBRE Brown (I prefer orangey browns vs. yellowy browns). It reminded me of the brown syrup used on Root Beer shave-ice (snow cones) 🍧. It looks so beautiful in my TWSBI Eco Rose Gold in White. ✒♥ Thank you for sharing!

I really hate it when people get pedantic about pronunciations, as if it’s a crime to have an accent that isn’t theirs.

I love Pilot inks. The Pilot and Ferris Wheel Press are two of my favorites with Diamine rounding it out with some tried and true and also some great and adventurous shades - I’m definitely getting their Inkvent calendar for next year. Noodlers and Private Reserve are workhorse inks for me. Not as fancy but with a good selection and some that have become my go-to that I almost always have inked up. Black Cherry is a favorite as well as Blue Suede in PR and Noodlers Black Swan in English Roses is also quite lovely too.

I’ve been impressed with Ferris Wheel Press Ink. Quality in every detail. My first purchase was Jellybean Blue a beautiful blue. Oxford blue from Diamine is one of my favorites always in a pen. Early December I was trying to purchase a brown Aircon wound up not getting one. I could not decide. I am loving the Iroshizuku.

I just got into fountain pens in December. Picked up Black Cherry as a free offer with the purchase of a Diplomat Magnum from Goulet. I've purchased several samples and Black Cherry continues to be one of my favorites to write with.

I don’t have favorites for 2022 but I do have certain inks I go back to again and again. Not in any particular order: Private Reserve Avocado: a bit of a warm green but very matte, it reminds me of posca paint pens! Noodlers Golden Brown: a yellow toned brown, oh the shading on this is lovely and perfect for autumn. Noodlers Navajo Turquoise: bright blue with shading Noodlers Pecan: another wonderful rich brown. Robert Oster Taiwan blue, bold blue that has flecks of electric red. When I use my italic nibs I can really see it outlining various letters. Taccia Cha brown: dark matte brown, fast drying too Diamine Oxford Blue: a classic

Nice list, and I agree with you on Oxford Blue. A classic!

I regret not having picked up the Tumbling Time Blue when it was released. I also love the various Diamond inks and the Pilot Iroshizuku. I have Yama Budo, Asa-Gao and Momiji, all of which are lovely. But I think I may get the Tsukushi - it’s a beautiful brown. Sailor makes lovely inks. And there are some beautiful Wearingeuil and Dominant Industry inks. Greetings from Halifax.

I really like Tumbling Time Blue. It's has some shimmer, and some really nice sheening. Sadly I think Tsukushi is discontinued.

The Ferris Wheel Press is definitely a pretty ink, but my favorite is the Monteverde Brown Sugar. That PIlot Tsukushi must be popular: I've not found it in stock at the online sellers I've looked at.

The FWP is a pretty ink, and I really like the Brown Sugar. Sadly the Pilot Tsukushi is discontinued and hard to find now.

@@PEIPenGuy So that's why it's out of stock everywhere. Oh well. Not that I *need* more ink... :-)
I'm working my through samples. Working to find my all time fav gray. So far Noodler's Lexington Gray is winning. Diamine Writer's Blood is my current all time favorite ink. Other current favs: Sailor Kyokuya, Iroshizuku Syo - Ro and surprising I enjoyed FWP Blushing Mushroom.

I had to find the right pen for me to enjoy grey inks. The pen I get the best results from is a Custom 74 with a soft medium nib. It really makes grey look better. I'm a big fan of Writer's Blood too.

New to fountain pens. Came across your channel and I am enjoying it. Thanks for the videos! Ferris Wheel Press ink is on my list of ink companies to buy from in 2023. So far my go to brand is Birmingham Pen Company as they dominate my small ink collection. Happy New Year!

Beautiful inks. Like you I'm not a big one for shimmer, mainly because I primarily use Fine and Extra Fine nibs, so shimmer and sheen don't show well. A nice shading ink is always nice. My current favourite from my collection in 2 categories. Practicality Everyday Use - Platinum Carbon Black (good solid archival black) - Runner up Rohrer & Klingner Scabiosa (like the colour and shading and is also archival). Fun and Interesting - Private Reserve Electric DC Blue (beautiful blue with a little sheen) - Runner up Rohrer & Klingner Scabiosa (like the colour and shading and is also archival). Of course my collection is only 4 inks right now. Top of my want list is Dominant Industries Ginger Chicken, I prefer the shade a little more than some of the equivalents I've seen, opinion is based on videos.

I have been really enjoying your videos these last couple of days. I am a new subscriber :) I have a hard time remembering what ink I bought and when but I am a huge fan of Ferris Wheel Press inks. I think Goose Poupon is my favorite but like I said, I have no clue if I bought it in 2021 or 2022. On my wishlist for 2023 is a bottle of Gold Antiqua by Robert Oster. I just got a sample of it and it's really beautiful.

That Ferris Wheel Press blue is very appealing, but I also agree with you about shimmer ink in general. Shimmer seems like one peacock feather too many and I worry about the health of the pen. Cult Pens Deep Dark Blue was my first ink. I've used about 60 ml of it since I ordered it in November '21. It's a little dark, though, so I started using Diamine Blue Velvet. It's nice, but a bit bright. When I finish the Deep Dark Blue I'll start on a bottle of Diamine Oxford Blue, which will surely be just right and I can stop worrying about ink. Meanwhile, nibs are a growing concern. I've spent a year always writing with medium and broad nibs as paper would allow. Now, I find my hand has grown steady enough to look OK with an extra fine. Just as I was getting happy with my nib choices, my handwriting has to improve. The vexations continue. Sigh.

Ooh. I've looked at the Cult Pens Deep Dark series... those look nice. My favorite currently is Herbin's Poussiere De Lune
@johnnyragadoo2414 Жыл бұрын
@@RJayRoberts I got it because I wanted an ink that wasn't black but was dark enough not to jump out as blue. It's very pleasant to use. Unlike our talented host in this channel, I don't do anything artistic with my pens. They are strictly instruments of prose.

Hello from Flat River, I was delighted when a “local” podcaster popped into my KZbin feed🤗. I’be decided to pull the old pens out of the closet and rejuvenate that as a hobby, and have been going done the proverbial rabbit hole of pen and ink videos. Just wondering if there’s a pen enthusiast group on PEI?
