KP was one of the first yarn companies I bought from when I started knitting nearly 20 years ago, and they've got so many lines there's something for any kind of #knitting or #crochet project you might imagine! I love almost every Knit Picks yarn I have tried. Mostly the Cotlin, stroll, and my fav Alpaca cloud (great lace weight sub for mohair). Thanks for the round up. I hope to try some of these soon 😊

I just followed your link and ordered some high desert yarn! On the KP site it says the yarn is a combination of merino and merino-Rambouillet. So psyched, can’t wait, thanks for sharing your favorites!

I just finished a Christmas sweater knit entirely in their High Desert worsted-weight yarn and it is my absolute favorite yarn from Knit Picks. I decided to try it after hearing a podcast interview with a farmer who provides some of the wool. My only gripe is the lack of bright colors, but it is truly their best wooly yarn and it is soft considering how wooly it is.

I knit their Subtlety Gloves using High Desert sport in the color Willow. I am so impressed with its stitch definition and softness without splitting or pilling. Knit Picks has great sales and quality yarn. They also try to be as environmentally conscious as possible which is important to me. I'm so grateful for this company for providing affordable yarn along with great customer service. Oh and High Desert is made with American grown and processed wool, another point in its favor!
