Performance driven users on the high end... no one else is doing it. Don’t start changing over to doing what everyone else does. Every time I buy a knife that isn’t useful and more art that tool, I always end up wanting to sell it. I watch your channel because of your style and preferences in these tools. Don’t forget your roots.

You said it perfect, I know I'm late here, but I sell more knives than I keep and it costs me big bucks, as you must know. I quit watching the guys who review knives that just tickle our eyeballs, so called budget knives that boast durability. I'm tired of weak performance, poor hardware and thinking I'm gonna get a great "new" hardworking knife at an unbelievable price. There are deals on used knives out there but patience is necessary. Damn, am I maturing into a much wiser enthusiast who uses the crap out of his tools and knows how to keep them operating like new? Hell Yeah! Thanx Sngx!

@@blade4trade80 yeah I agree, I had a Sebenza 21 small and I prefer my spyderco para 3 lw over it any day when it comes to carrying and using. Sebenza was really good but I just like the ergos on para 3 way better and the carbon steel is easier to sharpen. And I abuse my knives a lot 😂

I'm an inner city guy and we have a 2.5" blade limit. I don't exactly follow that but lean towards smaller knives. But, the MT Socom Elite changed that. What a great friggin knife. I picked up a second one and it's the only knife that interests me now. It's a much better knife then any ZT titanium frame lock for a little more money

Due to recently diving into the vast world of knives, I'm glad to find a channel that doesn't mention "fidget factor". Not knocking those that do, but when I am looking to buy a knife, I care more about ergonomics/utility than it's ability to fill the role as a fidget spinner.

Great video! I wish I had all those knives! I think my top 5 are; BM limited freek BM griptilian Cold steel Colossus ZT 0562CF And Spyderco sage 1. Honorable mentions; -Civivi praxis (it's inexpensive but damn it performs amazing for what it it) -zt 0566cf -zt 0450cf -Spyderco para3 -BM mini crooked river. But I love all my other knives so it's really hard to say 😂

Did you forget the name of the Spyderco Sage 2 lol. You almost said it twice but backed off like you weren't sure if it were a Sage or a Native. Nice knives either way. Btw I edited this after seeing a viewer call it Sage 2 - I thought it was the Native 🤔.

Test a Buck 110. It has a flat surface on top, comfortable handle, hollow ground thin blade. A lot of what you say makes a great knife. You can open with two hands just like a switchblade if you practice and actually more reliable opening then a thumb stud under stress. I carried one in a belt sheath at work for years and fell in love with it. I'd be curious to see how it does in your tests. Prior to that i used a couple Spydercos and a Emerson CQC7, the Spydercos sucked for cuting and the Emerson the tip broke off for no reason and the liner wore all the way accross in like 3 months, i worked in a body shop at the time and kept them sharp with a basic spyderco sharpening stone. Funny coming accross your vids because the tasks i did were the same as your testing. I bought a Buck 110 and it worked way better and was way better built. Also with the sheath no more pocket lint and your knife cant get scratched either. At night id walk with it in my hand, the blade comes out faster with two hands anyway and no blade detents to worry about the knife accidently opening. I noticed all this from using it. Peace

Nice top 5. I own the Strider and large 21. I will get a small 31 in the near future! I do care a 940 when I want something lighter than my large 21. Now for the controversy - I'm not a fan of Hinderer knives; the only way they make the top 10 for me is if I am on an airplane and I am given 9 plastic knives with my meal! Keep those videos coming, Thanks!

What you said about showing different knives bc people saying they want more show style knives.... bleh lol keep doing vids on the knives you like the most which seem to be ones that are set up for really putting in work and being able to handle a lot of scenarios. The differences in preference between youtubers is what gives variety. If everyone starts showing the same stuff to appeal to the fancy action/looks knife junkies etc it will be a sad day

It's great that you not only focus on the performance aspect, but conduct some strenuous and informative testing as well. Thanks for all the effort! I've learned some cool stuff from your work.
