It’s wild too, Wano Luffy’s arms can peg right out, they literally could’ve repainted that and made the gum gum parts additional that peg in.
@Zakjuh24 күн бұрын
They should have. And then they literally make a Romance Dawn effects pack with pretty much the same style/mold. TF TAMASHII?
@AnimatedHeroes24 күн бұрын
Completely agree. Easily one of the strangest decisions ever made by Bandai
@SeanBeanie419124 күн бұрын
@@Zakjuh I feel like they’re testing things with the OP line because I’m still baffled on what they did with Zoro. The entire figure works against itself and they know better on a design aspect.

@@SeanBeanie4191 You are so right. I often say that the line is so experimental (pejorative). Experimenting a bit can be good, but they could've just made good figures to begin with and leave the experimenting to the side because it's ruining figures of heavily desired characters/looks.

What did you say!? Figuarts Denji is peak. PEAK. Jokes aside, I agree with you. I still find myself wondering why they felt the need to change the shoulders at all when they were so good on Chainsaw Man. The faces are fine. Could be better, sure, but I think the biggest issue is the lack of shading for the hair which makes it look kinda mushy. But the shoulders? Nah. When everyone was giving Bandai shit for not just adding the Chainsaw Man parts into the Denji release and praising the Figma for doing so, despite being double the price, and the Figuarts Chainsaw Man and Denji together costing just a little more than the one Figma and considerably better than anything the Figma could offer while also meaning you can have both Chainsaw Man and Denji out at the same time with peak engineered SHF bodies, I was mentioning just that: SHF Denji and Chainsaw Man together cost just a few hundred yen more than the one Figma. They're better, they come with more than the Figma when packed together, and it means you get a great whole body for like 500-700 extra yen. And then they effed up the shoulders, so that for a good looking Denji, you'd still need to parts swap with Chainsaw Man or get a second Chainsaw Man to steal the shoulders. 💀 G5 I also agree on. If he had come with normal articulated limbs, I would have gotten him. The rubber limbs gimmick is cool and all, but I don't trust the durability. I'd rather just have gotten the Onigashima/Romance Dawn Luffy engineering. If it had that, extra rubber limbs or not, I'd have gotten it. Instead, it's now a ticking time bomb, and the way they articulated the crotch is also dookie. And I'm not going to buy a second Luffy just to salvage the parts and repaint them white for a G5 Luffy that won't inevitably tear apart on me if I try to pose it more than once every 2 years. On the Figma side, I didn't really know Aki was that bad. I know Gabimaru was a giraffe necked, permagapped weirdly proportioned monstrosity with a bad wig, though. He's probably one of the prime examples of why I don't buy a lot of Figma anymore. (But that 2b and 2.0 Solid Snake are too good to pass up 👀 Hope it doesn't bite me in the ass.)

The whole Kaiju No.8 line was just ok for,,, coulve been better. But I'd say Mafex Comic book Cap was the most disappointing overall. The figure iself was great, but I hated the engineering for the shield. Im a huge comic book cap fan so I had high hopes for Mafex.
@AnimatedHeroes24 күн бұрын
I didn’t bother getting that figure so I don’t know how bad it is. However, I do agree with what you’re saying about the K8 line. I wanted to include those, but I decided against it since I do personally still enjoy them.

Sucks to see action figures that don’t live up to what they should be, especially gear 5 Luffy. Oh well, looking forward to that top 5 list though!

The contest of time that rubber on gear 5 went through was the main concern I even had for this figure. And for sure this beef that Ace got with figma will NEVER end until they cook again 💀.

I got my gabimaru in recently and honestly i love him. 92 shipped from goodsmile with an extra effect piece wasnt that bad but still a little high. His long neck is actually kinda accurate to the anime look. Shf neck seems more stubby by comparison. The gappage is unfortunate but he gets great range as a result so im ok with it
@julianx2rl24 күн бұрын
Oof, yeah, I'm all too familiar with Figma long necks, in fact, I know why they keep doing it. See, they insist on using the same joint pieces they've been using since the brand started back in 2008. So what happens, is that whenever they want to do a double jointed neck, they have to make room inside the neck for the 2 joint pieces, and because they don't fit, they make the neck longer to stick them in there. The only instance in which they decided to change their engineering, was with Spider-Man, great figure, LOVE that figure, maybe they should've made some notes to make more of their stuff like it!
@julianx2rl24 күн бұрын
Oh, and I guess Yuji's neck was kinda different on the bottom as well, but is too loose, I don't like it.
@julianx2rl24 күн бұрын
As for the size, this is something they're doing in general. Dread Samus is WAY taller than the previous 2, TotK Link is also way taller. They actually changed the scale, probably trying to fit those joint pieces better within the figure, but it sucks because the new figures can't be posed with anything other than other new Figmas!

Figma usually looks good but fumbles on the articulation. But my biggest disappointment is SHF Makima. When the Figma counterpart has better articulation than SHF, you know you messed up.

Luffy G5 and Denji are in my top 5 most dissapointing figures as well... BUT the top 3 worse for me are 3.- Damian form SxF, 2.- Becky T-Rex arms from SxF and 1.- Fckin Bond with Anya 2 pack that shouldn't have been a 2 pack, Anya has no stability on Bond and the damn dog has worse articulation than the Hamond Collection Mattel figures that are much much MUCH cheaper.
@clmcdeee318121 күн бұрын
Shocked SHF Makima wasn't on there. The articulation on the top half I can get over, the faces I can deal with specially when looking at them in person. But what in the actual hell was the legs??? I get the hips don't have that much outward range so they can tuck in, but what the hell I was able to cut away some of the plastic in the hip sockets to give them actual range, but having to do that on a figure I paid 60+ for on sale is absurd. Not to mention nerve racking when actually doing it. Denji was... certainly a figure. The shoulders were odd to me but he didn't stick out to me as toot too awful since I didn't have the original chainsaw man release just yet. Picked up Zoro late to the party thinking the skirt couldn't be that bad. It was that bad and got cut immediately so his legs could function. I expected that at least. It's just the shoulders are the worst I've handed on a tradition figure. The spinmaster Jin Sakai is pretty solid overall, just not in the literal sense with the gummy ass plastic. Lack of accessories in a 30 dollar figure of a character with so many different weapons is insanity. I love the studio series TFO Optimus and Megatron in a vacuum, but the lack of size and accuracy are super unfortunate. They feel like the size they would be when they were just miners when put against other transformers. A very most dishonorable mention to the epidemic of squeaky ball joints on figures new and old in my collection.

I think Figma Isaac Clarke is only "not bad" because there's nothing better. Because he's pretty bad if you ask me. Engineering and range is buns, and price is wild. Paint kinda looks sloppy like McFarlane level, and he looks like a cut up statue. Very awkward looking figure.

Fluted Armor and Bloodborne Hunter were good so I have hope. That one, Skull Knight and 2b look like they should turn out really well. Figma nowadays has a handful of figures they put a lot of care into, and then the rest they halfass, and those look like they put special care into them. I think they all have special engineering and joints.

I actually agree with the denji. That Denji is horrible. It looks bad with the proportions, the faces look horrible, and its just overall bad.
