Less coding than fairly explicit, but Shinsei Kamattechan's "Zuttomo" really is something else. Setting aside the fact that their lead singer/songwriter Noko is non-binary (addressed on "Like Myself" and more obliquely on "Front Memory"), "Zuttomo" is very plainly about a strongly romantic friendship between two young queer people teetering on the edge of turning into something more but held back by both internal and external factors, with the buck wild music video *really* turning the subtext into text. Speaking of queer yearning, the gender of the subject of YUKI's "Fugainai ya" is fairly ambiguous, but that feeling of "god, I'm such a coward, I should have said something" feels especially relatable as a once-closeted person looking back on missed connections.

I also recommend Shinsei Kamattechan! "Zuttomo" is is such a sweet song, the veeery long outro always moves me. The music video is positively chaotic and ends on a bright and hopeful note. I think it expresses the same idea as "Jibun Rashiku" when it comes to gender, which is that it's completely irrelevant. "Now I just want to sing songs"....
