I've had other BPM baits kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!

It's a catchy name for the color that sticks with people. There are no lines to read in between. No nefarious overly complicated reasons. I would just like to thank you for your channel. Being from PA I’ve always been a trout guy because all I’ve ever had access to was small streams. I went bass fishing for the first time on Monday and used a Texas rig senko with an 1/8thoz bullet weight on my spinning gear using 6lb mono and caught 5 largemouth from the bank in the 1st hour and my kids caught a few on their 5’ ultralight gear. All about a pound or so. Yesterday we took out a boat and were throwing the same rigs toward the bank with no luck, I went in the other side of the boat and threw towards the middle of the lake and the 2nd cast I hooked one. I told my kids we have been doing it wrong and my 12 year old throws his right to the same spot and hooked at least a 5lber. I seriously thought his rod would snap in half. Got it to the boat and just as I reached down to grab it he snapped the line. A pic would have been nice, but his excitement and laughter through the entire fight was better than any pic I could have taken. I’m now shopping for dedicated bass gear, but it’s nice to know I don’t need $600 rigs to land big fish...just a little stronger line

Choices: Paddle Tail Swimbait (do not buy keitech) or amazons cheap hard fish swimbaits, whopper flopper, and some worms for rigging. Frogs are literally useless. I have seen people use frogs and never catch anything and I have like 19 frogs and never caught anything on it.

We must have useless fish here in the Midwest because the frog works well here...💁♂️

Which lakes do you recommend for fishing Bass in Iowa? Any suggestions for river for smallmouth

I honestly don't do a ton of river fishing. I need to do that more!

Love the video man. I'm down here in the Des Moines area, grew up fishing farm ponds and still do regularly. Haven't upgraded to a boat yet so bank fishing is my go to. If you do another tackle talk could you throw up a list of all the baits/brands you mention in the description? Don't even need links to them. Thanks and keep it up! Go Hawks!

Thanks man! Go Hawks 👊 Yes, I need to get better about that. A lot of times I'm in a time crunch to get uploaded. If you ever have questions, feel free to ask!

I love the fishing videos too, but these "tackle talks" are sooooo useful to me as a bank angler! Keep em coming DEBO

I've had a lot of people message me and say that. I love doing them so I'll try to incorporate more! I could talk tackle ALL DAY!

I wouldn't mind seeing a Texas rig video.... I always use an unpegged 1/4oz with a vilecraw on my t-rig... it's just my go to. But understanding all the variations of this "go to" would b cool

I can definitely do a vid on that!

Thanks for sharing a great info! What rod do you use for Texas rig? Lew Speed Stick was visible, but what is the model? What Abu Garcia model on your frog broom? Thanks.

Suns out black frog it creates a shadow when it’s gloomy white frogs are more visible

People argue both ways. I've caught fish on both colors at both times. I think it really boils down to preference and location. Probably forage as well...just my .02 cents though.

I just rigged up my rods earlier to hit the banks with a buddy tomorrow and low and behold you post a video on what I SHOULD HAVE rigged up. 😂 I tied on a popper instead of a frog, a swim jig with a paddle tail instead of a swim bait, and a 3/8 jig with a smallie beaver instead of a Texas rig. Great video as always man!

All of those are great substitutes. These are just my 5 favorites but there are so many that work!
