These are also the types of things i and many others never learned as a teenager because i grew up with very uninterested/inactive parents. I had to teach myself how to bathe etc, and obviously if u let a kid make rules and they stick with them ... problems arise later on. You handled this gently and in a non-shaming way, which is so important but you nailed it.

My heart goes out to you all. It is because they didn't know. There things that get lost in transmission as a result of the loss of the old traditional way of coexisting and coeducation etc. Their grandparents then your parents etc going to school etc going to school then don't see how things were done, they figured out for them selves and then don't know how things were done and every generation lose a bit more etc. Also sadly they also lose out being taught about parenting. It is a challenging and potentially destroying situation if not checked

Not just men's deodorant but men's razors too!!for women who have very thick body hair. Also, I used to have INTENSE when I tell you INTENSE BO and was going crazy trying to handle it, honestly no deodorant could take care of it UNTIL I started exfoliating my armpits with baking soda and Dr.Brunner's soap. I take baking soda I add a couple of drops of water so it doesn't loose the grittiness and I exfoliate for about one minute each armpit and then put liquid soap on top and scrub some more. LET ME TELL YOU! that takes care of it right away. I also no longer use deodorant because I am a limousine girl and the scientist in me is afraid of chemicals pooling in my breasts, but I do use antibacterial ointment AND, you guessed it, a very thin dusting of baking soda and I can go all day. Hope this also helps. Thank you Mrs Fumi for your amazing tutorial!!!

I am most impressed by the total confidence that Fumi exudes. In the example of the girlfriend who had body odor, Fumi addressed the issue directly and without criticism or embarrassment. I wish that as I was growing up I had a woman in my life who was so matter-of-fact about embracing the joy of being a woman. Intimate subjects embarrassed my mother so she didn’t address them leaving me to learn incomplete or erroneous information from older school girls or controlling men. After watching this video, just before my bedtime, I’ll take a shower and douse myself with one of the fragrances I’ve been saving for a special occasion. Living is a special ocassion.

I had to deal with armpit odors for almost 3years , have used everything that you could possibly think of, lemon, baking soda, apple cider vinegar, men deodorant and those worked out but not on a long term cause A/ my armpit got irritated with the lemon and baking soda B/ i ve never found an unscented deodorant in the man section and they smell to manly for my personal taste. So this is what i’ve done for people that are might interessed . Every body is different, it might worked for me but not for you: 1- i started to use baby soap & washcloth everytime i shower ( non scented one ) instead of scented shower gel 2- use an unscented deodorant ( you have to do your research ) 3- in your free time , give time to your armpit to rest , meaning don t use deodorant for a day even days , in order to let the armpits to detoxify 4- after that detox day, use an exfoliating cloth and exfoliate your armpits beside the rest of your body too. 5- wax or shave i sometimes have hair and i don t smell bad anymore since i’m doing this.

You had me at "pap smears and mammograms." Women's health is overlooked a lot. We get busy with raising babies and kids, running households, working, and trying to survive... but often neglect ourselves in the process. I am 45, and almost died last month because I didn't pay attention to something that was happening with my body. It made me sad for my family that they almost lost me, but it opened my eyes to how short life is. We lost my mother when I was 14, and she was 42. I have since outlived her and tried to live my life for her every single day. Thank you for this video, it is not only helpful, it is informative. ❤

I absolutely agree. When my last daughter was 4 months old I started paying more attention to my mammograms. I discovered I had stage 0 breast cancer. Yes I caught it and had it taken care of right away. 14 years later I am still here. If I has ignored the symptoms it would have spread to other parts of my body at a rapid rate. So yes it’s very important to keep those appointments. My doctor told me your job can easily find someone to replace you. Take care of yourself and your health.

It is important not to judge people's BO. No matter how bad it is. TRUST ME they know they smell. Alot of times its a health issue of some sort. Some people sweat way more than average and even with doing all these things it can still be a problem. Be a friend and offer loving advice and help. Never be cruel or straight up abandon someone for this. Also, talk to them privately dont go around talking about it with other people. It only makes them feel more alone and helpless. ❤ Hope this encourages someone to be a supportive friend or family member. Ps. Do not go buy them a shower/bath kit or perfume. It only makes them hurt more. Instead ask them what can you do to help them, or if they're comfortable with receiving advice based on your personal routine. Be direct with love and compassion. Most people with this problem are very sensitive about it probably already have some sort of depression associated with it.
@Yoyocreative2 жыл бұрын
I have hyperhidrosis (overly active sweat glands) and yes, it hurts when I get gifted yet another shower set. I have pit stains within 15 minutes after showering and there isn't much to be done sadly. There's medicine, but for me it moved the problem area to another place (when I put the medicine on my armpits, my back sweats more, or it moves to my neck or under bust). There are tablets, but I can't take them due to another chronic illness. And they can inject Botox to stop you from sweating, but I had a bad reaction to it. I shower before I head out to meetings/appointments, clean myself thoroughly. I carry baby wipes to freshen up, wear special clothing that prevents the stains etc. But it's still tough to smell fresh. Thank you for considering people like me! It means a lot to see you're speaking kindly about us! ❤️ We really try, but sometimes it's just not enough. The deodorant that works best for me is "borotalco". But I haven't tried male deodorant yet, so I'm definitely giving it a shot!

@ Kim please do not use alcohol and a rubbing one at that! Avoid put on your skin what you cannot eat. Your skin is an Organ. It will absorb what you put in it. Also you are altering the normal flora in your armpit in an unhealthy way. Add to that the long term topical chronic effect of applying alcohol in one. Place. I do not want to alarm you you must be aware that repeated alcohol consumption abuse is one of the risk factors for cancer in the mouth because of its topical effect on irritating etc the skin of the mouth? That is why I am also concerned about the other products etc being advised. For example antiperspirant sprays especially gave me boils, and the others, dearie me. I suppose some skin types are more sensitive than others. Diet has a lot to play as well, also it has become as to what degree a degree of natural freshness has become rejected and looked Down upon. But it just goes to show you must not take anything for granted because I took it for granted what she taught apart from the warm towel bit! Kudos to Funmi. When I was a child, my mom would cut some slices of lime for us to use in the shower. Now as an adult, I was reminded of it when watching another KZbinr. I started it again..I use lime juice as deodorant (I buy some lime juice and place in a travel-size spray bottle and spray lightly.) This is a game changer! It can be lightly sprayed anywhere on the body that emits odor. I haven't used deodorant in 2 months with NO ODOR!

I remember my mum telling me "keep scrubbing it" when I was young and had just started bathing by myself. My mum will always stand at the bathroom door and tell me what to do. She will say "wash your vagina first", and then once I get to my armpit she will say "keep scrubbing" and then she will tell me to scrub my butt crack too to remove any remnant and not forget under my boobs. It used to be embarassing but I still do it at 32 as she taught me. Fumi reminds me of my mum. I have never had hygiene problem thanks to her. When it comes to moisturising as a black person, my mum told me, after moisturising my body with cream, I should always use extra vaseline on my knees elbos and my foot because they could get really dry. Till date I still do that. After moisturising, I go in with my vaseling on the knees, elbos and heels. Young mothers don't be afraid to embarrass your child as long as it help them.

Dearest Fumi, today is the first time I stumbled upon this video and thank God I did!!! I cannot thank you enough for this. It has been life changing for me! As a woman who suffers from hyperhidrosis all my life, I've tried so so many products and methods. Nothing worked. I've been verbally and emotionally abused by some due to the lingering BO. Lost my confidence and charm, lost good friends and colleagues who didn't want anything to do with a stinky person. Most heartbreaking of all was that some of my family began avoiding me. Trust me I bathed everyday! Everyday!! No-one taught me many of the things you taught me in this video alone. I was not taught to do hygiene things a certain way. It hurts. But God himself led me to watch your video today. You're an angel, Fumi. I tried everything you did here, the 3 steps and puff!! The BO I had for so many years is gone!! I couldn't believe it! I got my confidence back in an instance, thanks to you my dear Fumi. Thank you so so so much for being so honest and detailed and loving in your video. You have no idea how much you changed my life in these few minutes of watching. May God's choicest blessings always be upon you!!

Fumi, you talk about not being able to withstand bad BO, but bad or not BO is just plain unacceptable. I found this video quite hilarious, puzzling, and I was surprised. What you show is just out of this world - this cleansing is most extraordinary, do you really go through that ritual to get rid of BO? Maybe person's hormones vary but I have never thought of doing all this to smell fresh and not offend the public. Even in the summer when there is more perspiration, I don't do all this! I have seen body scrubs in jars and I have always wondered what they are used for, now I know!!! Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! A simple proper shower, consistent all-over lady-scaping, and a dry deodorant last for me all day, even into day two; but as I said, I guess different strokes for different folks.

Great advise!! I would add: 1) Drink LOTS of water (at least 12 cups) every day and shower up to two times a day. 2) Use vinegar to wash the hairy parts of the body if you have hair. 3) Finally, watch the diet. Eat LOTS of fresh fruit and veggies. (Get your protein from fish, chicken and very, very little meat. In fact, eliminate red meat entirely. Lots of body odor is from your body metabolizing the copious amounts of red meat.) Peace!!

I would also add to ask a good/ close friend or family member if you have BO. You become nose blind to it and may not realize! Also if you confirm you do have BO, make sure to use a laundry treatment like Shout directly on the armpits of all of your clothes every time you wash. Deodorant doesnt always fully wash away from your clothes without a prewash treatment and can trap armpit odor to the fibers of your clothing! A lot of times its your clothing that carries the odor. Your body could be fresh but your body heat makes the odor stuck on your clothes waft from you.

My dear Fumi, I cannot thank you enough for suggesting deodorant branded for men. I have tried more than a dozen different brands of women’s deodorants from crystals to homemade baking soda concoctions. The problem isn’t that they stop odor, it is for how long the deodorant is effective and do they leave my underarm with a film that darkens over time. After watching your video I ordered Degree Ultra Clear from Amazon. It has a very faint perfume that vanishes soon after application. It is not a masculine scent. Additionally, I have large breasts, 44 DD, and I am plagued with boob sweat. Degree Ultra Clear solved the under breast perspiration odor. I no longer have to use pantyliners to absorb the moisture.

Let me say this as a medical professional these tips will not work for all. People have harmone issues and no matter what they do even men's deodorant will not help. Women often do not realize that they need prescription strength stuff and because B.O isn't a topic they might be bold to mention to their Dr to get the help they need they dr might just leave the situation at its just their hygiene when it's more and they need more help. Also some ppl should not be eating tomatoes. Not only does it add to their odor issues but it's sometimes d source of their constant underarm boils. They might have mild hidradenitis suppurativa and while they don't get all the constant boils the excess sweat and occasional boils are there and that comes with odor and special deodorant is needed and tomatoes r best to be avoided. Hope I helped someone.

For me, having sensitive skin, the type of soap is so so so important! Some of the gel stuff and highly perfumed ones sink in my skin, create some sort of barrier and trap all kinds of nasty odour. It would make it so that washing would just make it smell worse. Using 'natural' soaps has made it that I dont even use deoderant anymore. And the scrubbing! Great tip! If you found you have the same experience with sensitive skin, I hope this helps!

@@indigoblue478 I recommend African Black Soap from Natural Heroes, although it does run out quite quickly. It is a very natural soap and becomes very soft in water, almost like honey. I've also found a version of it from O Naturals that has a more solid form and might not run out as quick. They also carry soaps with dead sea mud, coffe scrub, charcoal and tea tree. They are all great for clarifying the skin. Although I have never used that brand, the ingredients look promising! Hope this helps:)
