Love my metcon 5s against the Nano 8 so much that I also bought the React without even searching for reviews. Never been a Nike fan boy but the Metcons have changed that. Great reviews Joe. Very in-depth.

I agree that the nano 9 are the best. Having wide feet, it’s been a while since I’ve been been happy with a shoe I can use for just about any movement. But the nano 9’s check all the boxes with great stability, grip, and at the same time still being a comfortable shoe

I like the Nano 9 a lot but for me the Metcon 5 is the most comfortable and stable shoe I’ve worn.

I agree, nano 9 is great lifting shoe, but the Metcon 5 is a better balanced training shoe to me because they don’t suck for running like the nano 9

Nano 9’s would be my favorite, but I can’t find a comfortable way to run in them. The Inov-8 235’s are amazing too, I wish more people would try them.

I just don’t wear em when I have a workout that has running in it. That’s where those 235v3s come in...which are really awesome to run in.

i got the nano 8 n absolutely love them just dam comfortable as heck....the only reason i didnt go for nano 9 when lacing of the bunching up at the top....

I've always been a Nano fan all the way through the 9s...but I got the Nike Metcon Reacts (black) and I gotta admit...definitely love em! I absolutely hated the huge Nike logo on top so I actually got some black paint and a small paint brush from Walmart and painted over it 😁. It came out so good that I'm thinking of getting the white ones and doing the same!

Low top basketball shoes have been a game changer for me in terms of training....Dame4 and harden 2 b/e...I much prefer them over nanos

I really really want to try the shoe out, but the looks man....the looks. The NIKE letters are WAY too big for my taste. lol. Coming from Metcon 4s and nano 8s I picked up the nano 9s on sale and I have to say I love them. However, on the first day of rope climbs with them I was missing my Metcon 4s. Love everything else about them though.

You could use it for HIIT and it's benefits overall trump it's lack of performance there. So yes, overall it is the best shoe still.

Just got a pair of Nano 9's last week for a killer deal; my first pair of nano's. I have wide feet and have not really loved the Metcon's since the Metcon 2, although I faithfully purchased the 3's, 4's and 5's. REALLY dislike like 5's: narrow like the 3's and 4's and too soft feeling in the sole. Also having the outsole pulling away. I am LOVING the Nano 9 so far and just hit a squat PR in them. Definitely recommend: can be found at good prices right now and a better shoe than the Metcon 5's IMO.

Nano 8's laces f up when doing jump ropes, it's annoying. Maybe it's just me, idk. I double knot sometimes.

Nike Free TR v8's do the job for me and picked them up from an outlet for $40 so if you're on a budget hit those up. You can still do anything on them but just for the 1rm's I would switch to metcon's for better stability, but 80% of the wods i'll use these, awesome for box jumps and burpees.

What shoe would you recommend for a 6'1" long femur short body person that needs a shoe to do squats. I currently have an old pair of adidas power perfect II's. I'm looking for a shoe with at least a 3/4" heel.
