One of my favourite adons during the lvl time is What's Training? It's adding a new page in your spellbook showing you all the new spells/abilities or new ranks on existing ones you will learn in the future and when(at which lvl) so you can manage the timing on when to go to your class trainer

Another benefit of Itemrack that you didn't mention is the "Events" utility, whereby particular gear can be equipped based on certain in-game events. The most common one being adding things like a Riding Crop when you mount up, or the flight-speed trinket when a druid shifts into flight form. Very useful for that to just happen automatically.

How to install Curse W/O Overwolf: On the Curse Download page, instead of selecting just "Download" select the small print below that says "More Download Options". Select "Options", in the Drop-Down menu THEN select "Curseforge Download Alpha (WoW Only)".

@@wolololer I don't know if it's specifically because of Overwolf but CurseForge is surely tens of times slower than the old Curse client or its heir the Twitch client (which at least had the perk of being useful and not an instant ALT+F4 after you're done updating, if you also watch Twitch). It feels like it takes ten minutes to launch and another five to look for addon updates, and takes a fuck ton of CPU while doing that. I've been using CurseForge ever since Twitch stopped managing addons yet I still don't know what the fuck Overwolf does so I don't see why I have to download it.

Adibags is a great bag addon, it groups items by type and you can reassign which group an item goes in. You can have a section for consumables, quest items and it also separates your most recent items into a group at the top. Mobinfo2 is also a great addon for seeing mob health. It also shows you a list of the items you have looted from mobs with the same name so you can see your drop percentage for stuff, as well as show you how many times youve killed the mob and how much xp its worth on average (and how many you need to kill to level up)

Genie is a good one to combo with any bag or inventory addon. It sorts and stacks your items for you and even has settings to make it automated like when you loot or check your bank for example.

bag addon i love to use is arkinventory: it divides your bags up by how you set the rules up, and when you get anything in your bags, it will go to the assigned spots, or the default spot if that item has no assigned location

Highly recommend Neatplates as it has nicer enemy name/health places and includes the debuffs as you showed with those other addons (except it looks nicer/clearer IMO).

Theres one specifical;ly I use for my shaman to keep track of totems and easy to use and sift through all of them so you dont need to have any on your bars. It's called Totem Timer classic. It also sets up to 4 preset totem configs and keeps track of your ankh for rezzing.

Plater is better than just using WA with the imported string. It shows casting bars (necessary in PvP) and cleanly shows aggro, HP(%), among other things. It's very akin to Tidy Plates, which in Retail is an absolute must.

@WillE There is an addon for us Alt-aholics called Lemmo's Craft Cooldown, it tracks all your daily and weekly craft CDs and has a very simple interface, lets you see everything thats ready to you can log in those characters and craft those things :) I use it for my 4 Tailors to make my Primal Mooncloth Cooldowns

If you use a Mage, Portal Mage < an interface for your portals. Right click for TP Left for Portal, also a stone count without looking in your bags.

GTFO is great for audible ques to periodic damage. BigDebuffs for tracking specific buffs/debuffs on nameplates. Gladdy for arena frames. Tidyplates/Threatplates or plater. Guidelime is a great free alternative to restedxp, atleast for questing through TBC content

You dont need WeakAuras if you only want the debuff thing. Just use ThreatPlates. Nicer plates and you have the same function with build in threat on target display, debuffs and CC.

If you want a good, free alternative to RXP, Guidelime also works well. Same sorta deal without all the neat gizmos and hyper-optimized routes that RXP has.

More of a flavor thing really. But Z-Perl is a nameplate customization that shows buffs and debuffs (with the ability to increase the size of either on party/targets) as well as changing the color of health/mana pools. Plenty of other things that I’m probably missing but I’ve really enjoyed using custom nameplates to help navigate who has what buff/debuff. Another addon I’ve found is extremely useful for healing is healbot. I haven’t had a chance to raid with my healer, but dungeoning has been 10x easier with a small window with soft keybinds to heal groups. It also shows what support spells are currently on which target within the healbot window. Definitely a huge help, especially if you’re not a fan of clicker heals or have an mmo mouse.

TSM really is the best for making money, as WillE says, but does have a high bar for getting going. My favorite part is you can see game-wide pricing, as well as server history of sales and sale rate. Huge to know if your server is being normal or cheap/expensive

Another thing ItemRack is nice for is the "Events" feature, letting you assign pieces of gear that will auto-switch when you do things such as mount or swim. Really nice for the auto-swapping Riding Crop when you mount.

I've been using ItemRack since Classic and never knew about this. I even went and wrote my own WeakAura to flash my screen when I don't have the Riding Crop equipped, like an absolute chump, when I could have just used that. Have all the upvotes!

If anyone is looking for a better solution for swapping itemsets like itemrack, you can turn on the ingame option Interface > Features > Use Equipment Manager and use that one. It even shows you a tooltip on the items in your set which makes vendoring gear much faster.

RXP 60-70 was great. 1 to 60 is not so great sadly, not any fault of it, but it basically assumes you only level solo and only via questing, which just isn't the norm, so you get out of sync with it, and it isn't very... Adaptable if you deviate at all. Though just as 60 to 70 was great, I'm sure 70 to 80 will be too. Just my 2 cents if anyone was thinking of getting it, but not sure which to obtain.

I think TradeSkillMaster is absolutely worth learning if you want to craft items and sell them. Because once you learn how to set it up it will automate the entire process and ensure you don't operate at a loss. It can just work as an auction addon, but it's probably overkill unless you plan to use the full chain of supply->craft->auction it provides.

Fully agree. Even if you don't do any crafting or serious selling just getting the % of the average 14 day price is worth it for any player. Knowing when to hold off on restocking consumables, gems, enchants etc. if at all possible is a godsend to players with tight wallets, wait two days if you can and pay 86% of the two week average rather than 137% for your potions. Getting that automation on price checks and learning your servers high and low times is worth it to people only using the AH to buy.

I really liked and used Dominos during Classic, and after more than a year pause, I'm planning to return for WotLK with the same feral druid main. However, now, when I restarted WoW after this long absence, I ran into a crucial problem with Dominos which I couldn't solve, so I reluctantly had to give up on the addon. Maybe there is still a solution, and you (or someone else) might help me. The problem was the following: It seems Doninos cannot interpret the druid's shape shifting and the associated swapping of Action Bar 1. For each druid shape shift, it generates another action bar, (i.e. Action Bars 7, 8, 9) instead of swapping the skills on the default Actionbar 1. And these action bars are visible on the UI (thus unnecessarily covering a significant part of the screen), and not keybound with the default keybinds of Action Bar 1 (1,2,3,4 etc. keys). When I right-clicked on Action Bar 1, I found an option (which's purpose I'm not entirely sure), but it seemed that I can chose which is the default action bar for each druid shape shift (including basic humanoid). When I disabled this fucntion, the above mentioned problem occured, but when I thought I enabled Action Bar 1 as the default action bar for each shape shift (which is supposed to be the case), then the basic humanoid form action bar was active at all shape shifts instead of automatically swapping to the appropriate shape shift action bar. Are you familiar with such problem? Do you know a solution for this? Though I didn't try, presumably the same problem would occur with warrior or rogue in case of events when an automatic swap on Action Bar 1 is supposed to occur, such as stance change or going to stealth. Thank you for any helpful information.

I use the "extra bars" for consumables and life quality macros on my non druids so I leave the bars visible ( you can turn them to invisible not to see them). I also have the bars moved to the side and made smaller so they really don't block my view.

I use NDui, which has a lot of this built in. Some things I'm still looking for to get the functionality I'm used to, it's just a matter of remembering what I want and then trying to find it. (It's been a long time, brain be rusty.)

OmniCC does not display CC effects anywhere. All OmniCC does is add a countdown to frames running a cooldown.
