Thanks for sharing this, Tony. I have 6 grapevines, 6 blueberry, 8' of blackberry, 16' of raspberries, two espalier apples, and 4 new apple trees this year. I agree we all need to be growing fruit! I didn't realize there were thornless gooseberry so I'll be looking for those. Thanks.

Tropical fruit is what my Thai family grow here Tony. Durian, Mango, Rambutan, Mangosteen, Longon, Jackfruit, Custard apple, Dragon fruit, Pineapple, Banana and many more. I consider myself lucky when it comes to fruit :) Great video, thanks.

Thanks for another great video Tony, I remember picking gooseberrys in the garden as a kid and stopping in laybys and picking blackberrys on the way to the beach with my grandparents. Recently rewatched your potatoes and strawberries videos, I have a dozen of the Lakeland 25L ones you recommend and 3 fabric ones, all full of spuds, 2 buckets of first earlies have been going for 3 whole months now (half under plastic on the raised bed, I'm going to give it another week or two as I started a bit too early according to some opinions. Far too many tomatoes, half will be given away. basil, lettuce going well, perpetual spinach planted out today, pepper from last year aclamatised. Peas and beans. Several raspberries, strawberries and a rhubarb. Thanks for all your videos and the advice and inspiration. Second year growing Oh and an apple tree last autumn. ❤️🙏 7:46 8:30 8:30

great video Tony, will have to see if there are any loganberry plants at the show tomorrow! would love a fruit cage like yours as looks fab! my autumn raspberries from 20 plants have spread so much last year and again this year so will have to thin them out this year or end if this year! oh wow a kiwi how amazing - be interesting to know how fast this grows! didnt know gooseberries can be grown that easily, are they similar to blackcurrants? got grapevine envy! no room in my poly tunnel for these so would need another! got 2 fig plants and hoping this year to get some off of one! love that you saved that pear tree of your grandfathers! hope to see you tomorrow!

Great info Tony. Have you ever tried Feijoa? Acca sellowiana/Feijoa sellowiana. (Americans call it Pineapple guava and its very popular in New Zealand) I've seen it fruiting in the cooler areas of Northern Spain and its a big crop in Georgia. Its really delicious but a bit tender, might fruit in a tunnel, mine flower here in Ireland but the fruit never develops outside.

Tony, I'm wondering where you buy such a large area of bird netting, or whether there's a system for joining the smaller widths together? My whole garden is about the size of your cage and has 8ft garden walls, so I could cover the entire garden if I can find the netting. Thanks, Rick

the kiwi would not grow well in colder climates but there is a vine with mini kiwis. here in Denmark they are called gooseberry kiwis. I think the latin name is argo something and the variety is called "issai" they are about the size of strawberries with thin skin that doesnt need peeling. they are tasty and easy. there are plenty of more fruits avaiable but always taste them first. I had planted gooseberries before I found out that I dont like the taste.

Do peaches and nectarines get peach leaf curl when grown outside? My mum always told me this would be the case if I grew them outside.
