Sadly a lot of the series that I've watched this year were things that i've needed to catch up on 😂 But if you liked DanDaDan you should check out the movie Ride Your Wave which is animated by the same studio, has a lot of their signature wackyness, and a ton of heart

I read Shogun when it first came out in hardback in two days- it's THAT gripping of a story. Great read for those who want to experience the source material.

X-Men 97 was definitely my fav show it was so nice to see X-men get their shine again and focus on character outside Wolverine

Agreed. And to be fair I feel like us Wolverine fans also ate pretty well. I really liked some of the maturity they let shine through with Wolvie. :) X-Men '97 was not just a show either, it was like - a whole communal experience. It was great coming together with fellow X-Men fans and discussing our thoughts weekly. I miss it. Can't wait for season 2!

Again, you have an interesting best of list. Now for my top five. #5-Agatha All Along. #4-What We Do in the Shadows. #3-X-MAN 97. #2-Shogun. And for #1...... The Penguin. Yes, it would be fantastic hearing to hear your thoughts on SHOGUN!

No kidding!! I gave up on trying to stay caught up on TV. I just watched Skeleton Crew, Penguin, and Dune Prophecy. I do really want to see Dandadan. Probably my favourite this year was Sand Land and Squid Game.

I can't wait to finish Skeleton Crew. Part of me wanted to wait until it was done for this list. But I feel like right now it's sitting around a 4/5 for me. So even though I'm loving it to pieces, not sure if it would have made my top 5 anyways. But we'll see. Watch the ending blow me out of the water and then I have regrets lol Sand Land looks interesting. So much good anime this year. You should definitely watch DanDaDan too when you have time! Squid Game was an emotional rollercoaster. As always. I loved it.

Shogun was probably my number 1 with Penguin not far behind. X-Men 97 would be a little lower behind House of the Dragon in number 3 and 4.

Yeah X-Men 97 was an emotional roller coaster for me. Season two i don’t know they’re going to top that without Beau.

haven´t seen dadadan or squid games, but I loved Arcane so I´m sure I would´ve taken one of those spots to squeeze it in, great top though, it was a difficult year to choose, you left vox maxhina, agatha, skeleton crew out just to name a few that I think were really good if not great

100 percent agree with you about Xmen 97 being no.1 on top xmen 97 was absolutely the best of 2024 i love it when you talk about the Xmen your the best at it i wish your were the Mutant Rogue your Absolutely a Goddess when you cosplay as Rogue i absolutely Respect Amanda your the Best

I watched the new version of Shogun with the same trepidation that Amanda brought to Wicked, wondering if is was going to be faithful to the source material. I am happy to say that it was "mostly" faithful, with some changes here and there. As with Peter Jackson's LOTR movies, the changes ranged from "very satisfying" to "cringe".

My favorite tv series of 2024 Are My Adventures With Superman, Superman & Lois, and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I like how My Adventures With Superman is a Superman anime with an anime opening, I like how Superman & Lois is the first ever tv series about the super family and I like how Rise of the TMNT gave us different breed of turtles, having the brothers be different ages, Ralph being the leader instead of Leo, and new weapons with anime esque flair to their powers

Oh yeah. I've been into anime since the 1990s. So I figured it might be nice to pepper some of that into my content as well. I have done some videos on Spy X Family, Chainsaw Man, and DanDaDan thus far on here. But I'm also currently reading and watching a few things - manga and anime-wise.

I don't understand Squid Game. The last thing I'd want is to watch a show where they kill off all my favorite character. This is why I stopped watching The Walking Dead. Shogun is not very historically accurate because it's based on a book by James Clavell who took lots of liberties with Japanese history to start with. Great recommendations.
