Haha thanks. Most of the sound is just the way I sound though. There's only a slight bit of eq/compression to level things out and remove that ultra low end rumble and add a bit of clarity. I record videos with a Deity S Mic 2 which is a shotgun microphone, and I'm also in a very treated room so that helps a lot to reduce any room noise/tone/reflections!

I took advantage of the V-collection upgrade discount and did not expect to be so impressed withhow they've handled their UX consistency with each synth. And the the added bonus of the Pigments 2 free upgrade with 286 new presets! But I also heard about MDrummer and tried the demo and got it at a big discount and it is a BEAST. MDrummer's ability to create a bunch of drumkits at once from one library of one shots is worth it in itself. But it covers so much and is so in depth; I really like the UX; it's reinvigorated how I program drums.

For synths... UVI Falcon has been my no. 1 since released! To be honest I keep demoing new synths but have yet to find anything nearly as impressive (or as creatively inspiring). I did buy DS Thorn as it's pretty wild and love the unique sounds I can produce with it... I am just demoing Arturia's Pigments - which so far I'm loving! As for VST effects Oeksound "Soothe" and "Spiff" are mind blowing and SoundTheory Gullfoss is pure magic. I'm also a huge fan of everything Sonible does - SmartComp especially! FabFilter Pro Q3 should be in everyone's VST rack ;-)

Yo! For sure, Falcon is incredibly hard to beat. I've checked out Thorn here and there but never quite got into it but maybe a future update will add some kind of cool feature that makes me want it haha. Pigments is great too! My informal list: Synthmaster One and Synthmaster are both excellent soft synths. They have a huge number of presets to get you started. They are very versatile if you want to take the time to do the sound design. For the money it's hard to beat either one. I find both to be must have. All of the AIR syths are worth having. They are on perpetual sale so you can pick up the entire suite of synths and effects plugins for low money. Don't let the price fool ya, they are good pieces of software worth having and can do things other synths can't. The effects are my main effect suite, they are that good. The new Babylon soft synth from WA Audio Production is a great sounding soft synth. The presets are very basic so be prepared to do some sound design. But the synth itself is easy to use and produces some fantastic sounds. If you can get it on sale, do it. I love it! My favorite free soft synth is Surge. It is now open source and the people developing on it are talented programmers. Lots of awesome presets. The interface is not easy to wrap your head around, but once you do this synth delivers. It sounds amazing too. By far the best free-ware soft synth going. This is good enough to be your only soft synth for those folks on tight budgets. All of the Melda Effects are top drawer for me. They hold sales on a rotating basis but are still somewhat pricey. But, they are far and away some of the best effects on the market. Their "shareware" package is required. Just pick them up you won't regret it. I wish I could afford to have more of them. Lastly Reaper for a DAW. Some people hate it and that fine it doesn't have to be everybody's choice. For the money it's darn hard to beat. They keep updating it regularly so it keeps up with the times. It's only $60 for a license which covers many years worth of updates so most musicians can afford it. You can use it as freeware (with no restrictions) if you are really broke. A great starting point DAW that you may never outgrow. Worth a look for those just starting out and those on a really tight budget. UVI Falcon is on my 2020 purchases list. I am looking at Auturia's Pigments 2 as well, the update seems very powerful so it seems worth a look. When is Native Instruments going to get real with pricing? If they don't figure that out soon, they are going to get their lunch eaten by the rest of the industry. Even Kontakt is being bypassed by companies not wanting to pay them for creating instruments on the platform. What made Kontakt the standard in samplers has been made proprietary and exclusive and at $400 for the stand alone version, no longer much of a value. They create cool software but leave the average user priced out.

I recomend "Alpha Modular" and "MuLab MuxModular". MCCGenerator from MeldaProduction is awesome. It is annoying to know that in Reason Rack you cannot make modulations and midi for the Host.
