Robin's rounds have a certain "cohesiveness" to them. Even his drops felt like they belonged exactly when they happened. I haven't seen any other looper put a track together as well as he can.

I agree That robin is probably the most underrated looper and deserves more appreciation and respect. Thankfully he has gotten that during this kbb and hopefully more during GBB. I also agree that robin has the most beautiful loop round ever.. BUT I believe it's his second round vs Saro in the world beatbox champs. But I swear every round from robin i hear is something magical. When you hear it you almost know it's robin even if u couldn't see it was him. His style and musicality is wonderful.

so true... i still cant get over that Quarantine song he did. i love that vibe. he def has a very unique sound u def right. its funny to the tracks for KBB were all sorta rushed and had limited time imagine what he does when he can really take time and stuff and has no limits.... lol

@@zodiark420 I think the saddest part about all of it, Is that robin cares so much about making a masterpiece and about quality of music. And with the criteria in place he often doesn't succeed because he tries to entertain and impress with beauty instead of utilize hype and more mainstream loop styles that judges often lean towards. Especially during live events. Robins biggest weakness is his greatness.

@@dylanvox6749 yeah battles like this prob dont favor his style as much. but still he impressed everyone even the judges. i think it was more the Technical stuff like his edit/mixing. doing it live and in some of the environments he was in like a river a balloon. i bet he will come up with a way to correct. they have such short time to do everything between rounds. i am actually glad u went the way he did.... he seriously has raised the bar on what can be done in a battle round when it comes to filming. i think maybe a second device that could help with say more noise gating/compression or some kinda better EQ to help level stuff out mighta set him over the top. (i know i said it second device... lol. i not talking some crazy stuff just something to help with where he was at for some rounds.) idk much on that side of looping yet as i am just starting my learning how to. i do agree. i think Robin, whats that old Tale.... OH flew to close to the sun with what he wanted to do. lol. but as i said. i glad he did. maybe it did not pan out this time... but now that its been done... it will only get better i think

That mirsa round is one of my favorites of the whole event as well... its such a nasty beat, and the minor details that all come together is so nice.. the effects over when he says "ooo" .. and "fight" there is so much to say about the track. It's so good.

My top 5 and a brief explanation: 1: Robin's second round against Frosty 2: PSn's second round against Kristof 3: Kristof's first round against PSn 4: PSn's first round against Kristof 5: Josh-O's Second round against M-Age even though there were some rounds with heavy hard hitting drops, for me the highlight of the event were those rounds that made you vibe and feel good, rounds that you can listen to on repeat non stop and imo this 5 rounds delivered that. Also Robin's round gives me goosebumps LITERALLY every time, i hope he realizes how mindblowing his music is.

100% agreed that #1 is the best loop station round of all time. Saro is the GOAT & many of his tracks I used to consider #1, but this is just a masterpiece. You can even see how much Saro loved it when they showed the judge reaction & he just closed his eyes during it & almost looked teary.

Robin can go on all top 5 rounds, he put on a performance for the ages. But this list is pretty solid. When I first listened to his track where he rode on top of a car I had tears in my eyes. Not only is it the most beautiful loop track ever made but also it was the follow up to Frosty's epic second round and ended up winning Robin the battle. This is the stuff legends are made of.

LOL I saw that hater's comment. I have to say that I have also been wondering about why you didn't have Kristof in there but... KBB in its whole did have very very good rounds so although it wouldn't be my top 5, I do think it's a very worthy top 5. Some people comment thinking they own the truth but, and you keep saying it, taste is something we can't discard and is everyone's own. I appreciate you @brez and I love the fact you were able to film most of Robin's round - you guys may be forcing a new kind of battle to come up soon :-)

Here's mine following the same rule (no loopers allowed twice): 1. Robin's first round vs Frosty ("Playing My Game") 2. Kristof's second round vs Robin (the Hungarian trance) 3. KBA's first round vs Robin ("Batman") 4. Josh O's second round vs Kristof ("Red Alert") 5. Mirsa's second round vs KBA ("Baguette, fromage, croissant, esh") For Robin, I could probably switch out for the second round vs Frosty as well (on top of the car), or even "I am a Lion" vs KBA, both are so emotional. Mirsa's drum buildup is absolutely insane in that round, I don't think I saw any KBB rounds with that level of drum complexity and execution.
