When you noted the difference between the tic hiccups and the real hiccups, I realized my hiccups were just tics, because I also sometimes get real hiccups, and it explains all my other involuntary movements and sounds. Because of watching you guys once she started exhibiting symptoms we didn't ignore it and got her in to her pediatrician and then to her neurologist. I felt the same feelings you did, so many mixed emotions. She is still her upbeat silly self and I give you and other tourrette suffering KZbinrs she follow for helping her through this. Thank you for your beautiful face for helping so many like my daughter and I.

Also when you said you tap the poles twice it could be tourettic ocd which is quite common in tourette’s. Also POTS because that could also bring ocd tendencies and lots of people with it have tourette’s (I know you have FND but that’s what it reminded me of). And great video❤️💜

Evie, you also said you lined up pencils didn't you... That's another thing that sounds like OCD, I think.
@alexjackowski13293 жыл бұрын
@@londonwestman1 I agree sounds like ocd, but ocd has to have a compulsion/ Brian thinks something bad will happen if the obsession is not done. and then the obsession that satisfies it. She didn’t go into detail but it just sounds like it was a out of a blue thing. And now she does it so much it just a habit now ( like closing your closet door before going to bed) Like I have things that I HAVE to do. But I don’t think something bad will happen if I don’t do it, just is a bit funny feeling if I don’t. I hope that makes sense. Again she didn’t go into detail so if she wants to correct me please do!
@elevator33 жыл бұрын
@@alexjackowski1329 that does make sense. when i started at my job at a clothing store, part of my training was showing me how to clean the store after we close. they had me do it like twice or something but i kept volunteering to do it. after 8ish months of doing all the cleaning every time i worked, a new girl joined and they had to train her on a day i was working. so i couldnt do any of the cleaning. i went into full manic mode (as i call it) i thought something terrible was going to happen if the new girl didnt clean the store the right way because when i clean, it’s like a mf ritual. every step is the same each time and if it doesn’t happen like that, something bad will happen
@Eloise_Please3 жыл бұрын
@@alexjackowski1329 hi :) I have ocd too and some of my compulsions have really obvious fears behind them, but some were subconscious due to particular stresses and repressed trauma, and it took a while to figure them out. So sometimes people have compulsions and don't realise there's a fear behind it but there's that sense of dread or panic without being aware of the "bad thing" if you know what I mean? I just felt I had to do the thing, especially in school (as an adult those don't happen so much for me).

It's gotten a lot worse this past year 2020, it was almost like a bomb exploding and all these new verbal and physical tics came. We always thought it was because of my ADHD and or anxiety and stress, because that was what the doctors told us when my tics were milder. I have recently been diagnosed with Tourette’s and I really find your videos on TikTok and KZbin really helpful, it has also helped me explain to my friends and random people in my school why I am ticing and it has helped me to describe them and I am learning so much about myself and what it is like for other people like me with Tourette’s and how their tics are similar and how they are different. Having Tourette’s has made me make a lot more friends at school and it does have an impact on day to day life but it is also a pain as well especially when you are trying to talk and your tics interrupt the whole conversation (been in that situation many times). Your story is strikingly similar to mine, I’ve had strange “hiccups” for so long and my head would tilt up to the side very quickly, I brushed these off until I had about four seizures back to back that were all pretty severe compared to my usual seizures. After coming out of my seizures I was *listing my tics here if this is a trigger please skip* shaking my head side to side, hitting myself, and making high pitched penguin sounds and beeping, etc. After that incident now every night I try to fall asleep the tics start up all over again. The four seizures and more frequent tics started a few weeks ago, so this video really helped me feel less alone in all of this. Thank you so much for speaking, btw you’re not boring in the slightest;)

You’re such a beautiful girl! I love to watch your video’s. You speak so calm even tho your tics get in the way of the story. Don’t be insecure you’re doing amazing telling people your story and showing what it is like to have tourettes!

English: Evie, I saw a video of you months ago when I was watching videos on Facebook. Since that day I searched for information about "Tourette" and I imagine that your life has not been easy, adapting to so many changes being so young must be very difficult. But if you've found yourself in your videos, keep doing it and share your experiences with the world and show everyone that it is possible to have a life dictated by your choices. Thank you for sharing your life.

Don't be self conscious. And you're not boring. And that's also not becuase of the tourette's. I don't think you could be boring at all even if you never had a single seizure or tic. So thank you for taking time out of your day to explain your situation. Its very informative and will DEFINITELY help others going through the same ordeal. Good on you.
