@patricsturm5473 Haven't seen the video yet watching the special Olympics. Add in the beginning 4 minutes long. It's worth it. At any rate, such for Condescending comment. You're probably talking about the old tow Rig, and she 's a pretty smart cookie.

@@patricsturm5473 That might be Eric's old tow rig. Before the Topkick he had an early duramax red dual cab. The tub looks like it's that one, too many curves for a square body.

Eric, regarding the spacer block on the rear axle, maybe you should think about putting a cup socket around the bottom of the spacer that's welded to the axle support plate. Since relying on a 3/8 pin doesn't seem to be working.

I was thinking the same thing, even if you go with harder pins and bolts there’s a difference between shear strength and and tensile strength . I think supporting it is the way to go.

Can't wait to order the right springs and eliminate the blocks, add a leafs and finally have my truck sit a little higher in the back then the front, and after getting the front ALCAN springs, I love them! I will never use anything but ALCAN Leaf Springs! Worth every penny! Great video guys! Keep up the good work! 👍

Yes . . . I remember the old hydraulic brake controllers. We had one on our 67 Mercury station wagon in the early 70s. There was also this block mounted on the fender well with what looked like a pair of springs with a strap across it that could be adjusted along the length of the springs. I think it was some sort of old school variable resistor. Now it is much easier . . . Just plug in an inertia activated controller into the factory plug and adjust it. It's almost like the manufacturer expects most owners are going to tow a trailer.

Toyota used drum brakes until this latest model, in theory they had better stopping power but that goes away as soon as they build heat. Only real benefit is they take a very long time to wear and are super cheap
