Self-help isn't the savior it claims to be. There's a lot of phony books and materials out there, and they deeply affected my childhood. I'm telling the story of my toxic-relationship with self-help today.

Kudos to you for reading such things at an early age. I did the same via philosophy texts at the age of 11/12. Even though those books may have had an adverse effect, youve learnes a lot.of valuable lessons from them. Good on you. 😊

It is super cool how with the internet we can access these ideas at a young age! Now we just need to make sure we can filter out the good from the bad
