Praise God things turned out as they did! You are very blessed! You’re doing a great service by sharing your story. Women need to be made aware that things aren’t always routine with pregnancy and delivery! My son is an OBGYN. Sometimes, he shares trying cases with me. I’ll never forget when one of his patients lost her baby. He was eating lunch at a restaurant with another doc. The patient saw him and walked over to his table. She apologized for interrupting him and told him her baby hadn’t been moving that day. She to thought it was probably nothing. He told her to get right over to his office and he’d meet her there. He did a Sono on her. There was no heartbeat and the baby had died! The mom thought my son was joking with her when he told her! They both just cried and cried together. My son had lost a baby himself. His baby was born at around 24 weeks. He knew first hand what it was like to lose a baby. Nothing is ever assured until babies are actually born. Mothers worry so much, but you can NEVER be to careful. If a baby stops moving, always go get it checked out! Don’t worry about being a bother. Your baby’s life is ALL that matters in times like that. I’m so happy that God had you at the right place at the right time!!! Keep telling your story! You never know who you may tell that needs to know that these things do happen! Blessings to you and your little family!

Spinal tap = needle in the spinal canal and some of the cerebrospinal fluid is taken for diagnostic purposes. So sort of an in/out procedure. Epidural = Catheter in your spinal canal also but in the epidural space and they administer an anesthetic that makes you go numb. The needle is removed but a plastic catheter stays in place so they can administer the anesthetic at different times or continuously. I'm sorry this happened to you. While traumatic but also a blessing. That's hard but, you handled it with poise and grace. ❤

No, when he was born he was okay. They induced to prevent anaemia. It’s great to hear your baby girl is doing well it’s definitely scary especially when it’s something you never hear about. It usually happens when the mother is in an accident or something and it damages the blood vessels in the placenta, but I wasn’t in any sort of accident/fall.

Thanks for sharing your story. I appreciate it because I had elements of your birth story in my own story when my daughter Audrey was born. Ended up having to have an unplanned c section because her heart rate kept dropping while I was being induced. Ended up her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck twice. She didn’t have to go to the NICU but it took me a bit to accept that nothing went the way I had hoped when she was born. Wishing you and your daughter all the best!

I had a complete molar (egg that was fertilized had no genetic material in it) pregnancy that had to be removed in September. I was so very sick and knew something wasn't right. With a complete molar there is not an embryo. Sounds like yours was a partial molar? Definitely a miracle. I have had to have my hcg levels continually monitored to make sure it doesn't go into cancer. I hope everything goes well for you.
@ashaburtell9910 Жыл бұрын
Did you also have extreme nausea? I was so nauseous from the beginning- everything triggered me. I naively thought that’s a good sign in early pregnancy. Nope. It was a partial molar pregnancy. The baby died at 17 weeks.

So this video came up randomly on my reccommended. I've never watched someone's traumatic birth story, but seeing as I've had a traumatic birth once (with my first child), I was interested. Anyway, what an amazing story from your life 😭. With my second child, I finally got the perfect birth I dreamt of, but he ended up being jaundice, needing light therapy, then having problems de-sating like your little one did. It happened when he was drinking or had a paci in. The doctors were not sure why it was happening because he was full term and it usually only happens in premies. I was so scared to go home with him because I was terrified it would happen at home. (He's perfectly fine now). Anyway, we ended up staying 7 days at the hospital and that was traumatic enough (I was also very upset because I had to be away from my toddler who I had never been away from for more than a few hours at a time). When it was time for me to get some rest, I felt like my heart was breaking in two, just laying there thinking how my baby is having troubles and im having to be away from my other child. My experience was bad enough, I can't imagine the whirlwind of emotions and events you went through in such a short period of time. You are a warrior. I'm so glad your baby is safe at home with you and that you continue to get good news about your own health. ❤️

Thank you for sharing your story!! I can’t imagine going through what you did having a child at home! Just the feeling of being torn would be the absolutely most heartbreaking part 😭😭you are a strong mama and I can only imagine the emotions and struggles during your time!! But and you did it! I’m so happy your second baby ended up being healthy and didn’t have to stay any longer in the NiCU. Whether it’s an hour or a year, it’s the worst experience having your baby in the NiCU and feeling so helpless :( thank you for sharing your story!

This is really interesting thank you for sharing. I just wanted to say that in the UK we discourage the idea of it being 'normal' for movements to change towards the end of pregnancy due to lack of space, so if movements slow down this is NOT normal and should be checked. Not sure if the advice is different in the US but just wanted to clarify for anyone watching from the UK! :)
@Audreyreadingcorner Жыл бұрын
thank you for the clarification! Every pregnancy is different and we do something here where we 'count the kicks' and there should be roughy 10 kicks an hour and if that's not the case to get it checked out! it is definitely important to notice any changes and be aware of anything that isn't 'normal'. I probably should have clarified it in the video so thanks for pointing this out!
@corablah9809 Жыл бұрын
It's different every pregnancy. With me, I had a BIG baby. For the past two weeks she rarely moved, she physically couldn't. She was 9.5lbs. with my second pregnancy, with twins who were full term 7&8lbs, the same thing happened, but drinking juice, laying down, ect, always worked. If the tricks aren't working, go asap!
@katia.3360 Жыл бұрын
My 5th baby wasn’t kicking at 39 weeks. Since he was my 5th I knew he should be moving a lot more. Luckily they induced me because I was 39 weeks. His heart rate dropped with each contraction so they stopped my labor when I was 8 cm dilated after trying everything. They rushed me in for an emergency C-section at 2 am. He had a true knot in his cord and my placenta was 40% detached. So luckily they did the C-section and he survived. He just needed 1 week in the NiCU. It was scary, but I’m so thankful he’s healthy!

You saved her life ❤❤❤❤. I probably shouldn’t be listening to your story because I am 26 weeks pregnant with my first and have fairly bad chronic fatigue/pain so not the smoothest experience to begin with lol. But I’m glad I listened to it because it is honestly a beautiful story of how much you cared for and appreciated your daughter, she pulled you through this whole experience. It is really touching to hear despite the scary things that happened by a miracle everything turned around. Thank goodness for the medical system and your close kick count monitoring! I have one question, did you not feel your baby kick at all or was it just less than usual? I’m still trying to figure out when I get to that stage of pregnancy, what I should be trying to monitor/or will be normal/not normal xx
@Audreyreadingcorner Жыл бұрын
Oh no!! I hope so badly this hasn’t scared you for the remainder of your pregnancy. Just keep in mind this is SO rare so you will have a perfect birth and everything will be perfect for you 💕I’m for sure not a dr so I don’t want to give any ‘advice’ but I will say you will start to understand your baby’s movements and routines and will know when something doesn’t seem right. So make sure you are just aware and if you’re at all second guessing, go to your dr! You can never ever be too safe. For me, she wasn’t kicking at all. And they should be kicking about 10 times an hour towards the end of tiger pregnancy. But I would ask your O/B for a more clear idea of what you should be looking out for. Congrats on your pregnancy and keep being an awesome mama!
@sarah29880 Жыл бұрын
@@Audreyreadingcorner thank you for your kind response. Pregnancy is just full of surprises. Right now I am dealing with blood sugar spikes and lows, ughh. I am testing and failed the 1- hour glucose test, so that’s my main focus right now to do the three hour test ASAP so I can calm down about that lol. I am only 28 weeks so it’s right about that time to focus on this I guess. Thank you for telling your experience. I’m so glad you were able to listen to your body, it’s a rare thing now a days to sit still for long, but it sounded like your pregnancy made you, which was a blessing in disguise, thank GOODNESS 💕💕. Miracle of all miracles. The kicking has become more apparent since I wrote this haha, so it’s nice to know a routine and if things change I would definitely reach out to the gyno to make sure everything is OK. You are right too about not worrying too much because what will happen will happen within reason and doing what we can :)
