One line that truly touched me, "Now every time I look at myself in the mirror, I see my soul on my face."

+Kriti Mehra that got me too. im goig the other way, i grew up male but had exactly the ame inner conflict. now in transition for 1.5 years it is touch but so wonderful too. i finally feel real. it has improved everything especially with my family and friends. and work. my heart goes out to people in my situation in backward countries. they are always the people the fascists and police pick on, not the crime syndicates or corruption. also in the west some people feel the same, and even among liberals, feel transexuals are propagating gender stereotypes harmfull to cis-people.i hope one day it will be better and i think it is my duty to be visible and proud so other people who have yet to transition can see that it is a good and worthwhile thing to consider for themselves. but i understand maybe their circumstances do not allow it. i am glad progress has been made and i hope it continues.

I've been trying to figure out this whole gender thing. I've sort of come to the same conclusion as Niklaus more or less. I feel myself: human. That's the thing my dad has always taught me: be yourself. I truly think that is the message of our generation & I think it's a bloody brilliant one.

I have the utmost respect for trans people. They are such a noble example to us all, to be true to ourselves. To believe in yourself. That they're courageous enough to fellow a path they believe is right even when the odds where against them. And the end result is nothing other than beautiful. And trans person I will defend you to the death. And this is to let you all know that for one as I'm sure with many others in the world, I am your ally.

Accepting the fact and accepting the truth are two different things. He accepted the fact that he was born biologically female but, after much thorough introspection, he accepted the truth that who he was on the outside could not represent who he is on the inside. He is rightfully lauded for having openly accepted his true self in a discriminatory society that forces its members to either conform or perish.

At the moment I'm hiding myself in my flat with no contact to any part of my family nor friends but... I'm very lively and creative and encouraging and empowering to people. I dont use my power to make a difference in somebodys life, making my life be a loss and frequently considering of ending it. With oyur video, im considering what I really want for my future. And I'm sure, there will be one. Tank you for saving my life.

I have been able to use dysphoria to lead me to accept my male host. I have given up manhood and actualized my self as a woman with in this male body. I am a ghost girl. GD has left me, my validation comes from my host. I am sensitive to my male host and do not need medical interventions or to embarrass him by displaying self outwardly.

This talk was great and even gave me some feels about becoming the person you want to be against all odds. However, the last few words bothered me. He said "his or her" life not "their" life. What if somebody doesn't want to be either male or female? Considering English isn't his first language I'll let it slide but it's a bit of a back track against the overall message of the talk by bringing the gender binary back into it at the end.
@elliott87589 жыл бұрын
This is actually a mistake that was probably caused by translating from his first language. There aren't gender neutral pronouns in his first language and he probably did not know about the possibility of using they as a singular pronoun.

@aplicqu87616 жыл бұрын
He was born female. He never said he was intersex. That would mean having either the organs of or hormonal profile of both sexes to some degree. He went through ordinary puberty and became a woman. He used hormonal therapy to align himself with how he felt he should be, and he probably had some surgery.

The description states "Niklaus Fluetsch was born female." If you know that statement isn't true, tell us, please. Not trying to "school" you or insult you. I'm just going by what I read. If he says he's female, he's saying he was born XX. If he's intersex, he could be any combo of XXY, YYX or the myriad and extremely rare concoctions that present in intersex people.
