360 and Genesis are my two all time favorites in no particular order. 360 really got me back into gaming consistently again after having other priorities in my late teens to late 20s. Just got finished doing the data/license transfers from my original 60Gb to a 500Gb Elite. Have been downloading a bunch of games on the network recently since many are unavailable elsewhere. Next on the agenda will be trying to get an SSD working on it then loading as many games as possible.

Had both ps3 and Xbox 360 elite, only played a few Xbox 360 exclusives! And started collecting 360 games a few years back! Stopped because most of the discs i received were scratched! Ps3 far better on many levels, and rarely get any scratched discs!

I still have and play the 360 - the Japanese model got a ton of great shmups too! But overall my fave 360 games: Lost Odyssey, Forza 4, Under Defeat HD, Fable 2, Batman Arkham Asylum. Amazing machine.

I didn't have an XBox 360 growing but it has become my favorite (old-school) console and I'm glad that others are starting to realize how great it still is. A few additional games that i think should be in every collection: - FlatOut Ultimate Carnage - 50% Sim/50% Arcade 100% Awesome! - Alice Madness Returns - Great art style, dark story, great gameplay! - All the great shmups (DoDonPachi, Deathsmiles, Raiden IV just to name a few) - Tornado Outbreak - Fun Katamari Damacy like game from Konami

Xbox 360 was as you said, such a revolution for console gaming. It remains a favourite system for a lot of people. For me it was as good as PlayStation's best console, the PS2. I had a PS3 but didn't think it was as good as the Xbox 360.

I've been a PC gamer for too long to remember. 😉 The Xbox 360 was the first console I tried since the SNES. I hate to admit but my PC gamer self just couldn't get into it and sold it a month later. Absolutely nothing against it and having it in the market to go against Sony & Nintendo was a good thing (and still is).

Ah the 360, feels like just yesterday it was THEE hottest thing here in the states. What an amazing console with such amazing games. I've purchased one three times over the years, and still have one to this day (though I rarely fire it up as of late). Thank you for such a relaxing, nostalgic look at it from a 2023 perspective. My Xbox 360 collection only contains 6 games at the moment lol. I remember playing viva piñata like 10 years ago, don't have it anymore though since I took all my old games to a charity shop 4 years ago. Huge regret. Long live my 50+ ps2 games and 20+ Xbox 360 games lol, Had some rares too 😥

I have a love/hate relationship with my 360s. After going through the repair process of DRE with my PS2, I jumped ship. I went through 8 360s having RRoD. The last refurb that I received from Microsoft (RRoD again) is packed away in a foot locker in my garage. I ended up getting three more slims that work to this day, although one shows sign of being on its last legs. Microsoft did something natively that no other console manufacturer will ever do.

I’m one of those crazy people who really likes the kinect. Dance central, gunstringer, and fruit ninja were awesome. You could slice fruit with a KICK! Felt awesome.

The Xbox 360 is the best gaming console with the biggest game library. Xbox 360 was my high school years and I still play Original XBOX and Xbox 360 games on my Xbox 360 that aren't backwards compatible to Xbox Series X. I have the Xbox 360 Slim in 2010 and it still running good like it did back then. The Xbox 360 Dashboard still looks great today and I'm glad the Marketplace is still active today. My favorite Xbox 360 games were Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo Reach, Call of Duty 2 (which I played and completed it on my Xbox Series X), Gears of War Trilogy, The Orange Box, both Left 4 Dead games, Lollipop Chainsaw, Max Payne and many more. Got a 360 at launch but honestly pleased I switched out to PS3. I think MS made 2 mistakes with the console at launch - removing the hdd as standard which the OG XBox had. And using DVD drives. Sony had the bonus of no multi disk games. Also I don't think it ever had anything to match Uncharted or Last of Us. On the other hand the original blades UI was the best console UI I've used. They shouldn't have got rid of it!

Viva Pinata is the only 360 game that I know that had a release with an irrelugar case shape. The case is curved at the top on the 1st / limited editions. Shame we did not get more like that. Hidden gem: 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. Cheap enough in the UK, expensive in the US.

I would definitely say the original Xbox is my favourite Xbox console of all time. That said give me the first 5-6 years of the 360 lifespan and we’re sound. Kameo DOA 4 ninety nine nights quake 4 and more. I remember when I got my premium 360 (before I got my 360 and me and then later my Star Wars, 360 slim). So I was in game station, I just finished my NVQ in operating IT and I was about ready to leave college (I went to a residential college) and there it was just on the back wall. So I asked the assistant if it was for sale he said yes, nice guy too, I actually met his mum once while he was working (random I know). Anyway, the console with three games was going for £414 (this was back in 2006) so I picked up Kameo, perfect, dark collectors, edition, and DOA 4 because at the time DOA 4 had a long been released. The thing I remember about the original premium unit is no HDMI port, that was an introduced until the elite unit came out and then the slim version came out afterwards, that’s how I remember stuff. I never liked the fact of the 360 could be somewhat unreliable Red ring, faulty power supplies that kind of thing. My 360 and PS3 collection is pretty huge overall, I would definitely say the 360 is the better system of the two but I would say the Wii is the better system of the generation because it has the better Nintendo games of all of Nintendo’s previous systems but that’s just down to preference. Speaking of the Wii that collections pretty huge too. I know I’ve gone on on a bit of a tangent here, but just for something a wee bit random, I’d really like to see last story and Pandoras tower get HD versions.

Burnout paradise city was my introduction to 360 and got me into xbox family I have had many ups and downs with the red ring of death that reeked havoc on my first 6 consoles and now I am undercover beta tester for the insider alpha ring insider group to get in the alpha ring you had to get a invite and I was a lucky to be on for well over 7 years. Would love to give more insight I was die hard nintendo fan until they killed the game cube and the transition to xbox was clearly done.

For me it was probably Left 4 Dead, my flatmate and I played that constantly on splitscreen and online and it was just the best. Left 4 Dead 2 on PC now still holds up, too.

The XBOX 360 and Wii are the most current generation consoles I have. I have never used the online features for any console and only buy physical so do not feel need for anything more recent. I find the XBOX Live Arcade Compilation disc good value and good to have physical versions of online games like PacMan Championship Edition. My favourite 3 games on the XBOX 360 is The Walking Dead, Trials HD (again on physical triple pack with Limbo and Splosion Man) and Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition.

Remember pre ordering my 360 at blockbusters and waiting for ages for it to come out! You had to put £20 deposit to get one even when the actual price wasn't announced! Few weeks before it launched condemned was released, which I snapped up and drooled over it ,till the midnight launch, Happy memories! I feel old, ex wife couldn't understand

Xbox 360 is so revolutionary and the Xbox Series X is a 360 on steroids as it does the same things just with more powerful hardware. Xbox 360 pushed boundaries and they even did the kinect aswell.

If you own a series x and games aren’t compatible, buying a 360 is well worth it, IF…..you can find a 360 cheap!. £30-£25 is about right. If someone is selling a 360 for £60 that’s not a bargain at all.

The 360 servers will be up for a long time yet. People still like playing OG 360, the Xbox 1 rely on the 360 servers for backwards compatible.

I own the xbox one x & Series S but i cant play the 360 for one simple reason. I've owned many 360's over the years and the noise that comes from the system is too annoying for me to enjoy gaming! It sounds like it will take off at times...PS2 was way quieter and that's why i chose playstation over xbox back in the day. Happy that xbox fixed this with new models. Anyone else experience this as an issue?

Gears 2 I spent a lot of hours on that back in the day , played the campaign multiple times and me and a friend at the time we were both ghashner shotgun pros I guess in Multiplayer haa , we both got Quite a few very angry messages sent to us lol. Left for dead 2 was another one for me that was so much fun and to this day , me and my friends still have drink nights/days and play it at somepoint during that time. 360 was amazing there was some great games.

xbox is a hard console to navigate but it is understandable because it has many features, i have to search for games in game pass to find games that are downloaded, i thought there would be straight access to the hard drive through an option but i cant find it, its a good console though and most importantly the controller is good, the old consoles like the mega drive had controllers that were to thick to hold and no good, the snes controllers were better because they were thinner and holdable.
