I think this guy is on to something huge with that screenprint showing every switch location and making it easy even for someone who knows nothing about pinball. That will revolutionize the industry. Great video!!

This type of design is what I have been thinking about for years. Never understood why so many wires are still present in modern designs, always thought the board itself should be a circuit board. Great to see such innovation being thought through and actively worked on. I am officially a Turner fan and look forward to some great things. I hope they have some great business sense and don't try to do too much too quickly. That is s difficult thing to do. Let the business grow, but maintain tight controls until it is safe to grow.

@@curtis1997 Thanks man - that means a lot :) Pinball is the one thing for me that rivals art (well, I see these machines as art in the first place, so maybe it's just a different wing of the same thing.) Enjoy the book when it arrives!

This is the future of pinball for sure. Turners designs make Stern and all the others look outdated. From a repair guy perspective or even a collector this is amazing. Now I wish I had know this before they sold out.

If the game sold out and there is still a market for additional ones, why limit themselves to 100 games? I love the innovation they have incorporated into their assembly process.

Great tour! I really liked the playfield underside. I've seen and played NE, but I never really got a chance to really appreciate what has been done here. One thing you missed unless you have it for later. The playfield surface. There is interested around the playfield surface. It's I guess like a hardtop. It was said the playfield in the unit that was at the Arlington Pin Golf tournament was made out of a composite material that I guess turner moved away from. I just would've liked to have seen and heard more about the play surface.

Nice. With the limited amount of space I see a great opportunity for some 5s. Sort: identify and remove (waste) unnecessary items Set in order: organize the remaining items Shine: cleaning the work area Standardize: establish rules and procedures for the work area Sustain: maintain the new organizational system Looking forward to playing one of these for sure, and wish nothing but the best for Turner Pinball.

That board is cool! Thanks for showing that. Does that setup limit what he can put on the playfield? Like could he put a magnet mech on there using this board system? Looks awesome and love the modular components and silkscreen print on the board along with eliminating so much wiring going this way. So cool.

Surely I’m not the only one that had Haggis on their mind while watching this? Not a criticism. Just was a little deja vu-ish. I recall those early tours of the Haggis factory and talking about their production style, innovation with some of their equipment, etc.

He would have more space if he didn't have a row of non company pinball games taking up space. When spooky started with AMH (and I visited their incubator space to pickup my game), there was zero non spooky games. They had enough space to build 5 games a week and that's it. That said, if they plan on 100 games and they are building 5-10 a week, I'm guessing they're already working on game two?
@toyotaboyhatmanАй бұрын
It's clear some of that organization and board logic carried over from deeproot (since he was a part of it), though it looks even more advanced. He clearly spent a lot of time upfront to build pinball as simple and quickly as possible. I really do like how he's approaching this, so many new manufacturers build pinball like a homebrewer and there's just a mess of wires underneath. He's at least on Stern's level of manufacturing (could use some flow like cells with conveyors) but that will come with time and ramping up volume.
