@@ano_nym F1 at max has like 8 gears. There's really no reason anything smaller than a heavy truck needs more than like, 10 gears, especially manual gears. Automatics can cheat a bit with gear combos, but that's nearing the limit of practicality.

Since I got my g29, I'm using an old door mounted into two chairs with concrete blocks to adjust the "table" height; and I picked up a big rock outside to put behind the pedals to prevent them from sliding... Should I send my rig to Jimmy? 😂

My rig is a T150 that I put on the side of my desk every time I'm not using it, because it gets in the way of the keyboard otherwise. Also my desk chair has wheels, so I do indeed roll away when I go full on the brakes, and my main screen is at an angle to the wheel, although that doesn't bother me much; I can't drive for shit either way.

My rig costs £100. Half for the TMX, the other half for the 2K flatscreen. The camping fold up chair, the table set on its end and the books under the pedals were all free. Wish I could put a pic up on KZbin. In my defense, the driving position is as F1 as possible, and ends up just like a 1990 Honda Accord. No complaints. I've run a 4:56 around the Nordschliefe on AC in the F2004, so it works pretty well.

Driving force GT wheel and pedels still hold up. Bought it new and the only thing that is different then to now is the shifter doesn't work, but I use padels anyway so no worries.

the camping chairs are doing the job! my first attempt at a rig had one aswell, they can easily be fixated and you can get a "racey" position... wood chairs can feck off! now I use a playseat challenge which is a glorified camping chair aswell... still, it´s comfy, good position, it´s pretty sturdy and you can just fold it, best thing to have for a small appartment

My sim rig is literally just a bunch of pillows on my couch that I arrange so that my position while driving somewhat resembles that of a single seater. I then take out my high quality Xbox controller and proceed to annihilate all the plebs with their $3000 Fanatec setup... you dont need money if you practice enough
