thank you for a fun vlog, I loved Square Haunting, I knew about Virginia Woolf and Dorothy L Sayers, but I never heard of the others and it was wonderful reading about them and discovering them and their lives and how all 5 women lived in that area and their hopes and dreams. I love this video, I love all your videos. So many great recommendations but for me I am most excited about Square Haunting - I have to get that book - my Parisian great grandmother ran a boarding house in Warwick Square in Westminster, after the war, and I’ve often wondered what it may have been like to live there - Hopefully this book is close enough to give me an idea. I haven’t seen many books about living in squares in London. I also love your edition of ‘the Go-Between’ we read it in school and so it is a book close to my heart, along with Pride and Prejudice.

I teach SEN children and I think storytelling, and reading, are the heart of education. Picture books are so important for the very young. I’m sure the education sector lost a lot when you left your teaching profession, Miranda. One book I’m really keen to read is Parallel lives.
