Thank you so much for your honest review. Personally, I find God of Fire overhyped, mainly due to sponsored influencers and its mass appeal. My hidden gem is Soleil de Jeddah Mango Kiss, its incredibly good

"Ok Lucifer" you had me cracking up! I totally get where you are coming from being raised in a Catholic family. Have you seen the video he has posted on his website promoting this line? I am torn as I have a few samples from it that I love but I have mixed feelings about purchasing. It feels like I would be supporting someone who is using what feels like darkness to seduce and sell. I know it is just a perfume...but it somehow feels wrong to me.

Team Mango Kiss! Creamy, natural and with hints of coconuts. God of Fire reminds me of a mango version of Erba Pura, with that chemical musk and screetchy to my nose (similar musk that most of Tiziana Terenzi's creations have); I own decants of these scent profiles and that's enough for me. Soleil de Jeddah Afterglow is a like too, I will revisit it when temperatures drop because where I live being 40ºC outside is a no. The original Soleil de Jeddah is quite weird/unique, a lot of chamomile, citrus notes and prominent earthy notes that 2 people around me described as "offensive". Bless you!

I agree with your review of God of Fire. I genuinely don't understand why it's so hyped. It starts out really lovely but then turns into something unpleasant to me. It kind of reminded me of pickles a little bit. Like someone opened up a jar of pickles outside and the wind carried it to my nose lol. Mango Kiss is the superior mango fragrance of SHL's but it doesn't get the hype it deserves.

Nice line up. Same here, don’t get the hype of GOF, it’s nice but not FB love for me. The only one I didn’t try is COE, but I just couldn’t bring myself to buy FB from this new line, I can’t stand the snakes😖 Wish Come True, was my SOTD yesterday, a fragrance that I love as the season starts to change, had a fab scent bubble of it all day.

At 14:50 One of the discounters has Crying of Evil for a decent price, so I guess Iam going to get it. I don't usually like leather fragrances like TF Ombre Leather..but everyone is saying this is different and is really good. 😊

I've only tried the two most popular (God of Fire and Venom Incarnate) so I loved getting to hear about the rest of the fragrances from the house! 🤗 That Mango Kiss sounds amazing, I'm gonna get a sample of that. God of Fire was ok for me. I'm gonna give it another try after a few weeks. Venom Incarnate was actually pretty good. Still undecided if I want a bottle, I'm willing to give it another chance.

I’m so happy to hear you speak up about this ❤ I’ve been avoiding this brand specifically for this reason 😂 I know not everyone will understand, and I don’t expect everyone to have the same beliefs/values. But as a Christian, I don’t do snake symbolism nor do I do names that glorify evil in any way 🥴 I wanted to buy PDM’s “Herod” for a friend’s birthday based on reviews, but I just could not get down with the name. Imagine spraying a fragrance named “Jezebel” on my body…. Absolutely not lol I also came across another YTer recommending a handmade bodycare brand. I went to the website and saw the creator wrote they soak their products with spells and energies. I quickly clicked out of that website. My discernment told me it’s just not for me lol I’ll happily sit this one out OR if I must… get a dupe.

You’d think after Balenciaga was exposed, people would pay more attention. I try to focus on the juice, or it’s a rabbit hole of imperfections, but when it’s this overt with intent to influence I have to say something. I understand the Herod name, but Parfums de Marley named their fragrances after famous horses 🐎 and it’s stated abundantly in their Marketting material. So I’m ok with that, even though it’s a bit 🫣 🥴these days. Now, the person that named that horse…😂 Dapper did an amazing job duping both brands and is a Christian owned brand ✝️🙏🏼 They’re a great option I highly endorse.

Hello there, I just ordered God of Fire from Harrods and received my 50 ml bottle. When I shined a light through it I noticed it was only half full, I tried comparing to others of similar amounts, but the differing shapes makes it hard to compare. I inquired with Harrod's customer service but I want to be sure that I'm not making an ass of myself for not knowing that this is customary or something. Could you let me know if the bottle being half full is to be expected or did something go wrong here? Thank you!

I love the original and Isra and Mirage!! It’s definitely on my list to buy!!i like Takalman and After Glow I found too masculine for me. Hi Greta, I hope that you have been well 😊 I have fears and dreams like that with spiders honestly so I know how you feel 😩 I do find what you said about the rattlesnakes interesting though as I’m Australian and all we hear from people around the world is how scared they are of our wildlife but it’s funny how I hear stories like yours or bears in swimming pools or mountain lions etc we don’t have that sort of thing to worry about at all. We have kangaroos and koalas in the hills and foothills which is where I live and they literally just hang out and are completely comfortable with humans but they are not in the metro suburbs

I’m not sure why, but I always thought you were in Canada. I love the outdoors and wildlife. I have coyotes, wolves, mountain lions all in my suburban neighborhood. It’s crazy, I know. I just don’t like rattle snakes 😫 I’ve seen way too many snake bites on people and dogs. 😫

Soft n Gentle is another one I use. I love that one. The D&G Garden I don’t like. Too chemical smelling to me. Asked me nauseous. The light Blue flankers are all great. To me the sand dance.. Is chocolate dusty, whisky.. The base is like common to all ShL. Amber type.. In cold weather it sticks close to the skin and doesn't elevate. It's a close encounter scent.

I came across SHL many many years ago when I first started exploring niche. I've always wanted one, but I think most are too artistic for me. I've yet to buy or sample one. I've been eyeing Crying of Evil, Nuit a Doha (or sth like that), Rose de Petra (but no longer in my rose phase). God of fire, the name I can't get behind & it seems to play too close to BR540, Venom Incarnate, I have too many strawberry frags already.

All I have and tried is soleil de juddah or however it’s spelt. Nice rough leather with fruity osmanthus and ambergris. Mango kiss? Afterglow? Wtf, never heard of the flankers lol

I got a sample of god of fire it was not my thing smelled a tad mango in the beginning fresh like a teenage guys fragrance and i smelled alot of similarity to BR540 but i am a hater of it so i smell anything that has the smallest similarity to Baccarat. This house seems very middle easter masculine to me not my cup of tea and i like some weird stuff.

Aw I adore Mango Skin. It’s fresh but it’s strong and somehow elegant. I love wearing it in the summer. How did you like Iris Malakhan, speaking of iris and leather? I love it though it’s a bit bizarre of a mix. Demi is hyping Gid of Fire- interesting you don’t like it so much. I will sample them first lol. She has also been into Jusbox. I bought their sample set. I find their concept a bit pretentious and not really viable. There can not be a Queen scent, nor a Bob Dylan. Nevertheless some of them smell pretty good. Beat Cafe is nice and woody but I use Stash when I am in that mood. Cheeky Kuss smelled a lot like BR540 to me. Yes I am not digging the snakes nore the satanic references. Luciferian practices are nothing to joke about. Then you have that his name is reminiscent of Humbert Humbert- the creep in Lolita. I think I will skip this house.

I can’t argue with you! GOF is a very indolic jasmine that just isn’t good to me. I have similar taste to Demi, so it’s surprising to hear her hype it. But she did get a generous package from the brand. Iris Malakhan is ok, I didn’t get a full wear. I was trying to compare to it, but it was very different from Isra (which turned to a repulsive patchouli in the morning).
