It is that time again! It is time to do my updated Biologique Recherche Skincare Routine. This is my most requested video! So today and I am sharing my updated BR AM Skincare Routine with you and will be filming my PM routine next! I hope this is helpful for all my BR Freaks out there!
I do want to give a quick DISCLAIMER:
I am NOT an aesthetician - I am just a SKINCARE junkie!
What works for me may not work for you. Thus, I am including my BR best friend- BISMA's contact info. She is an official BR aesthetician and can help you create a custom routine! I absolutely adore this woman and know you will too! I have been on this BR skincare journey for 4 years and started out small and have grown into my routine. I am NOT saying you have to spend $$$$ on skincare to have beautiful skin. This is just my favorite brand and it has transformed my personal skin after a terrible rosacea outbreak. Love this! N to the person who thumbs downed, we don’t do that here. Abby B doesn’t EVER deserve a thumbs down because she is the most kind, most genuine person on KZbin period. We’re a little protective of our sweet Abby B. Anyway, Abby, back to your amazing routine, which I have copied for years! I have yet to take the plunge on the Splenodermine but think I’m going to grab one before it gets dc’d. My most repeated BR purchases are Lait EV, P50 1970 and also Pigm, serum Placenta because I definitely see that it helps keep my fussy skin clear (ofcourse it smells like cow manure but I don’t care) and as much as I dislike the cost, masque Vernix, because it’s like an overnight facial for my skin. Love your Colostrum for moisture as well. Haven’t tried the MSR because I’m trying to use up a few others such as Verte Espoir, which is extremely moisturizing and soothing and less costly than some of the others. Great for winter. Still loving the ISO Placenta as well. It’s just a great layering product and good for everyday. Last but not least Dermopurifiante. If you have hormonal acne this is a game changer. I use it during that time of the month and it just works. Bisma is amazing, such a lovely soul. The BR rabbit hole is deep and it is vast, and yes, expensive, but I don’t think I’d ever be able to give it up. It made my acne prone, irritated skin clear and healthy and I have only you, Abby, to thank for that ❤️

Oh my goodness, I just love this update and YES- this freaking brand works! I sought this out after a horrible rosacea outbreak and my skin transformed within a week. A month later my skin was happy and balanced! It is just hard to sway when we have had such amazing results!!! AND I love your routine. FANTASTIC!!!! You got me started on BR and it’s life changing. I love this line. It’s so effective and for the first time ever, I can really see the benefits of my skincare. Vernix is my very favorite cream. My skin just can’t be without it. I’m using Dermo RL and Amnios now for daytime. I’m not sure either one is my end all cream, but they’re nice. And the Biofixine eye cream is amazing!!

I really appreciate the fact that you included price points, Abby! I tried the P-50 several years ago and had a similar reaction/experience: turned beet red for about 10 minutes. Thank goodness it was pm and not am. All was fine, but it was unexpected. Just illustrates the importance of having someone who knows the product line.

Thanks for sharing! Oh my goodness! I literally FREAKED out! My skin turned bright RED and it was not happy whatsoever. MY family was like what did you do!!! BY the time I woke up it had died down but it was over exfoliated. So once I actually got the right formula for my skin - I just LOVED it and now can't live without it-- but BR is not a brand that you can just buy stuff from. You really need guidance and once I had an actual facial at Rescue Spa and then found BISMA- things really made more sense to me. It is a very effective brand but you definitely need guidance! xoxo

The Lotion P50W for my sensitive rosacea skin is a holy grail product for me. Not using a scrubber also helps (like foria). hello abby !! 2 weeks late in watching this video - i saw a teaser for it & then it never seemed to appear even though your other videos were showing up, strange... anyway, i’m curious that you did not use a mask after P50 - that has been one of the steps i’ve been able to incorporate almost daily, due to having to work from home half the time ! i rotate / mix among vip o2, vivant, visolastine+ and have just purchased biomagic recently. otherwise, my current routine is lait u followed by lait vip o2, P50 (mostly PIGM400 (am) / original (pm) but i also have W & T that i teach out for, depending); any mask as above or combination, l’eauxygénante, serums : placenta (staple, always the 1st that i use on my skin), then a combination of a couple of the following : a-glyca, oligo protéines marines, complexe iribiol (when i have breakouts), amniotique, splenodermine (v occasionally), elastine (mainly for my neck), & PIGM400. for pm, i will use placenta again & a couple of the above, as well as 3R which i don’t use in my am routine (the twin of a-glyca, which i only use for am). for cream, it’s PIGM400, sometimes mixed or layered with placenta, vernix, or one of my samples of vip o2, hydravit’s or grand millésime. i’ve also told myself i’ll HAVE to finish up my placenta & verte espoir creams before getting a new one !! i have grand millésime finishing serum, but also enjoy vip o2 and yall o2 which i had & finished but have not repurchased (yet !). P50 is still the star of the entire line, and anyone new will HAVE to start using it on a damp cotton pad for 2 weeks BEFORE using it undiluted /full strength. even so, it helps to start with alternate days and only at night or a similar slow approach. it’s amazing & the entire line is fantastic ! 💗

much as i’m obsessed with biologique recherche, i also know that my skin benefits more by taking a break from actives once in a while. i’ve done this by using very basic skincare once or twice a week with either my sisley or tatcha products. the simplicity of these non-active products allows my skin to breathe, relax and simply be well rested & ready to take on the actives again after this break. i’ve also not tried any BR eye cream, & am using the sisley one which i really like. for neck cream i’m also using the sisley one or the tatcha version when doing the tatcha routine. i have normal-combination & slightly dehydrated skin so it’s generally quite receptive to a basic gentle cleanse, tone & moisturise routine 💗💗

Hi Abby: We are twinning here: Lait E.V., PIGM 400 lotion and moisterizer, Serum Glyca, Matricial Visage for volumizing the face and of course, Creme Vernix! This is my nighttime routine where you seem to use it for the daytime. Going to try the facial mist next and the T.E.W.L....saw some great reviews on these two! I cap everything off with Creme de LaMer.....have used this for years and will not go without it at anytime. Use it all year round for nighttime use. Daytime moisture now for Winter is Creme VG Derm....love it. Works very well under makeup which is the challenge this time of year. Whew! LOVE IT ALL! Always love to see your BR routines. We use a lot of the same products in the AM. My skin is combination though. For serums, I use Serum Elastine and Collagene Natif along with the Skinceuticals C&E Ferulic. I love the Creme VIP02 + PIGM400 combination in the morning.

Hi...great update. Coincidentally I have most of the products you mentioned from BR. Just a quick question...I only have a sample of the PIGM 400 so I tried it over the VIP02 just now..never knew it was glowing. In the past I used the TEWL serum at night alone...well I tried it just now the way you mentioned on top of everything and my products rolled off. Looked like I used an eraser on my face and I had to remove everything. I have normal to dry skin and used all the P50 lotions depending on my skin so it was no exfoliating. Up until the oil...I liked using the sample of PIGM and will purchase...nice on top of the VIP02..which I prefer in the summer or at night. I use the MSR and alternate with the Emulsion Originelle Regenerante..which I love. Just bizarre about the TEWL. Love your videos and your pace.💖

Hi Abby, I'm still using the P50V 1970 lotion every night. I still use it with the dab of water first on the cotton, followed by a few drops of the lotion. That was their tip for cutting the strength down. At this point I could probably advance to full strength, but I continue this technique. I bought the Lait U but for some reason I felt more refreshed using the VIP 02 cleanser. Bummer that the VIP 02 costs more than the Lait U cleanser. I remember you saying they changed the formula on the VIP 02 cleanser and I'm not sure if the one I fell in love with was the old version or new one. It's very disturbing to me since I want to buy it again and want the version I purchased a few months ago. Is their some ingredient that could tell me which version I have? Sorry I have been missing for a while.

Thanks Abby! I still have the original P50 but during the colder months, I give my skin a little spray of La Roche Posay Spring water before I use it to make it a little gentler. When I run out, I’ll probably switch to the pigm or the v version. I love colostrum serum and biofixine moisturizer. Thanks for the updated version of your routine!

I use pretty much just what you use. When I started with it I did as you did and bought the cleanser and the P50 toner. Then branched out to a couple of serums and the brightening creams. I have not found a moisturizer that I am quite happy with yet. I love the way my skin has responded to BR and would not change that, I think in the winter with dry skin I just need more than I have found. I do rotate a few moisturizers like the Barbara Sturm face cream rich and the Eve Lom one. I am open for suggestions if you have some. I do think adding in the Serum TEWL had given me the extra that my skin needs and I want to order Dermo RL- a really rich, moisturizing cream! I hope this helps!! Oh... and Colostrum is a must! Love it all ! They are so generous with samples too that I’ve been mixing a few different creams to try for winter . I’m with you on pigm400, Msr-h . ,,, love vernix . And actually placenta and verte espoir are super comforting as well as dermo rl and vg derm... I don’t own them yet just samples ... but have added splendide for neck and lower face .. definitely does help firm and lift! And ADN cream.... ❤️❤️❤️

Abby - what a treat! I started using BR after watching your channel- You were the only you tuber who explained the system so well and my skin loves it! (Plus we are the same age so that helps.) I use Lait U, P50, serum Splenodermine and Collagen Natif and cream ISO Placenta or Creme Splendide which I love. I tried to get my son to use it who has acne but he hates the P50 1970 original (and Creme dermopurifiante) - he says that it makes his skin worse,. Which P50 lotion does your daughter use?

I love how your skin looks after applying the products. The only thing is I find that the glowy look doesn’t look good on me , it actually looks ageing on me. I remember from your previous make up videos that you also don’t like the shiny look as it is ageing.

I do love a good GLOW but just a healthy GLOW not that over the top kind of highlighter on steroid kind of glow. LOL!! Once I put makeup on - I feel like my skin just looks healthy-- not over the top ( or at least I hope!). I would skip the PIGM 400 creme as that has a glowy mica look to it! I hope this helps. xoxo

I rarely use products that ‘smell good’. Fragrance is added to cover up the real smell and only tends to add trouble. Would you put perfume on your face and rub it in?

Lynn- I find that the phenol cuts down on the sting factor for me - sounds weird but it is a bit more gentle than the V for my skin. I rotate- I go through one bottle with phenol - and then the next without the phenol. To sort of shake things up! I hope this helps. xoxo
