Hi! It doesn’t convert, it’s only a bed. My passenger seat flips around and that’s what I use to work and eat.

I have a 2021 Chevy Express 2500 that I'm currently doing a conversion on, and I just love the woodwork! I live in the Adirondacks of upstate NY, and I always knew that I would go with a "cabin theme". The nice thing about watching videos of other builds is the hints and techniques that get shared! I love your little porthole window, which appears so much bigger from the inside. I would also . install windows in the rear barn doors though. One opposite the entry door as well. I really like being able to look outside. KUDOS on the toilet....makes a van a home.😊

Thank you!! Sorry for the delay. I had to find the paperwork for the fridge. It’s an Iceco 45L, it is not dual zone so I can only have a refrigerator or freezer, not both at the same time. It definitely takes some getting used to not having ice, but it works.

Thank you! On average, I get 17 MPG on the highway. I don’t drive above 70 so I’m sure that is a factor.

So ..... What is insurance like? Do you have a residence for both insurance and your yearly tag.... Repairs.. What are your plans if your vehicle breaks down.?

Good questions. So my insurance was $105 in year one and just increased to $127. I do have a home base in Oklahoma which is where my daughter and close friends all live. I lived there for 7 years before I moved to Colorado for 4 years. Repairs, the most expensive cost so fair has been new tires. I maintain it regularly and I have a savings just for the van.

How much was your van and how many miles, just curious?

When I bought it had roughly 150k miles. I had a mechanic inspect it prior to purchasing. That’s so important when buying a used or older model. I paid mid $20k which for me was perfect because I have very limited carpentry and electrical skills so I wouldn’t have been able to build it out.
