I used to play and watch a lot of MTG between 2013-2018, but I stopped due to work, family and other interests not leaving me too much time for it. I had lost track of formats for years now, but somehow I stumbled upon your DSK drafts, and this format and series made me remember what I love this game so much. Congrats on finally hitting #1 in a format, and of course thanks for the amazing content! DSK was such a great format. It was also a relief to see that play design still had it in them after a string of formats that were either curve-out snoozefests (BLB, LCI, WOE, MKM) and/or had major balance issues (looking at you, chrys). A couple of formats were almost there, like MH3 and OTJ, but this is the first format in a long time that feels universally agreed upon to just be objectively good! If I could change one thing about the format, it would be to make Balemurk Leech drain rather than ping. lol

I stopped playing/keeping up with mtg over a year ago. One day to pass time, my partner and I fired up a duskmourn draft and have been helplessly addicted since. I can’t even remember the last time I had this much fun playing (limited or constructed), and it’s so awesome to see many others think so too. Currently binging all your past DSK drafts, Foundations has some big shoes to fill. Thanks for all the DSK drafts Paul, wishing the best!

It was a better format than most recent releases because it wasn't just dominated by R/B R/W like every prior format released in the past 2-3 years. WOTC R&D team keep pushing creatures WAY to hard and the colors that tend to benefit the most had been red and black since they are also home to efficient removal. This set flipped that a bit by having good efficient removal for 2 in other colors and some big payoffs in other colors. Will WOTC design team learn anything from this? hard to say, they've already designed like 6 sets that will release before they have the data on the set... If only they actually released a handful of thoughtfully designed sets a year. Those were the times.

Tricky tricky draft. Doesn’t feel great to run into one of those but it makes good content. I’ll never forget your OTJ draft that was similarly tough but you needed up with an amazing naya deck featuring Annie flash. I must have watched that draft 4 times.

I did my final draft last night. It was a Quick Draft but I forced Black/White reanimator featuring the moth man himself, Valvagoth. Picked up the trophy and got to reanimate him twice and almost got to hard cast but my opponent was DOB before I drew my 9th land. The second time I reanimated him my opponent was able to kill him but lost their entire board. Perfect end to a great format, although I still think it was a bit overrated. I rate it a solid 8/10.

I’m just going to say that I’ve had dazzling theatre be bomb level in a blue white deck with two gremlin tamers and lionheart glimmers. It was easy to build an over whelming board quite quickly, but the gremlin tamers were definitely a huge part of that recipe.

It was pretty clear in the back half of pack one that black and green were the open colors. If you'd taken broodspinner mid-pack one, when it was clearly the best card in that pack, everything would have flowed correctly after that. But while BG would have been best, I'll reiterate that it would have been more FUN to see you force BW, and given what you drafted, why not?

Good Riddance to Duskmourn. I absolutely hated the art and theming. Didn't fit in the MTG world. Felt more like a Universes Beyond set with all the stupid 80s era theming

Hated that part of the set too. Now wait for the outter space and motorcycle racing upcoming sets... Not to mention those are the sets that are supposed to be the real MTG ones, with the Universe Beyond now going to be half of all sets. They are really destroying the game.
