Thank you for calling out that kpop got less interesting. As a long time fan I can only notice how the pandemic changed kpop for the worst. Millions of new people who don't stan for the music. They just love the drama and the visual aspects. It's a disrespect to the artists tbh. I hope we can soon all stan real music again. I'm glad more people are calling it out.
@fagiolification11
@fagiolification11 Жыл бұрын
Tbh I think Kpop stans were waaaay more toxic and dramatic (even creepy 💀) when Kpop was not that "in", like 10 years ago. There's disrespect in literally any genre of music, not just Kpop. Also, I think Kpop industry is having the time of its life because it's all about the $$$ (as in every music industry), so more people listening to it = more money. Your comment kinda gives gatekeeping. 😅

@@fagiolification11 We are not talking about other genres. We are talking about kpop. There's no denying that theres been a shift in the kpop culture. That's just a fact. It's not really about the music anymore. It kinda is, but it's not a priority and that could lead to either something better or worse. And when it comes to toxicity in kpop, in my opinion nothing really changed. like yeah there's more freedom for idols, but that comes with more brutal criticism, To the point idols leave groups and kpop groups disband or become so hated they become unpopular in a few years time. the level of toxicity really didn't change.

@@ravenmindful673 I know you are talking about Kpop, but it seems you kinda assume it's like an "untouchable" genre above others... It's just one of many music genres. It's not like "oh it's Kpop so people need to approach it in a different way". 😅 The music industry has always been about exploitation of the artists... Since, like, forever. All the labels care about is money and they push artists to become more and more viral on the internet in order to milk them for $$$. And, as I said, it happens in every music genre. Of course there are dumb people who follow certain artists just because they're good looking and hot and stuff like that. Kpop idols have become more and more popular also because they're the "face" of several luxury brands, giving them even more popularity so people look up to them. Even the huge popularity of the korean skincare is giving them a big spotlight. These are just examples. 😅 I'm not saying this is good (I kinda don't like when people put famous people on pedestals and follow them in a cult-like way), but it's just the way it is. Kpop right now is a trend and trends always come and go. 🤷🏼

Hello Keisha! About the gaining weight thing: it’s true! I struggled with a very fast metabolism and couldn’t gain weight. What worked for me was high protein intake, tried it from food only and it did not work for me that well so I ended up taking my protein from food and added a protein shake. I went from 115 lbs to 140ish, took me years as I do weightlifting, swimming and hiking. But in a nutshell, if you are trying to gain healthy muscle mass, I recommend increasing protein intake :)

Well I think that’s just as bad to reduce someone’s desire as following trends. If you want a nose job, you want a nose job. It’s always about “following trends” when there are women getting boob jobs because they simply want to feel more confident or even making their breast more even because they can be drastically different: I hate the “oh you got cosmetic surgery cause your following trends” rhetoric. The thing about trends is they never ever suit all people. The strong laminated brow? Fire on a strong face, an eyesore on a delicate face. The clean girl look? Great if you're already pretty to begin with. The cut crease? Well do you have huge eyes and a crease to begin with or do you have dry peas for eyes? What really made a difference was going to the gym so I really recommend it! strength training and making sure to eat enough calories and protein in a day. As a black American woman, that lives in America, I don't think that's really the case at all. I think as Black Americans we just speak on the racism we face here because that is the racism we know. I'm not a black Brit so therefore I can't speak on what racism is like in Britain. But I can assure you that most black Americans are fully aware that anti black sentiment and racism is worldwide. If we truly thought that racism only existed here, a lot of us would be jumping off this ship. And that's just that on that. Also anti black American sentiment, specifically, is huge in America. People think that gain weight is easy because they see it as being lazy. They automatically assume that having more weight means being lazy, unhealthy and not fit. I personally think that it’s actually harder to gain than to lose weight. Your body adjusting to burn weight, to lose something, is going to do it faster than your body adjusting to take weight to actually keep those things in your body. I have seen it with people who had suffered from anorexia, they literally struggle so much with taking even a small amount of weight because their body refuses to; their body is wired to eliminate weight.

And sometimes ppl think ur trying to be skinny on purpose and that’s not the case. All body types are beautiful, all that matters is that you’re healthy

Unpopular Opinion: Most animators hate couples whom are taller woman/shorter man even though there is literally nothing wrong with that. It's animation, yet we still have ridiculously long time gaps between the previous and next portrayal of such couples. Even Disney's 'Elemental' didn't allow a couple made of WATER AND FIRE to have the woman taller than the man (at least at their base height, not sure if they can change size or sumn). In Marvel comics, Wolverine had multiple women whom were taller than him. In DC Comics, Mister Miracle is with Big Barda whom is quite taller than him... That's about it other than She-Hulk which is a technicality of her Hulked form. Why limit how often that happens in comic books? ...COMIC BOOKS! 🤦🏾‍♂️😆

I also have been the same way as when I graduated school at 16, I'm 21 and I'm on the same weight, but on the other side, my dad struggles with gaining weight, the only way he achieved it is training and drinking protein, as soon as he stops the weight is all gone, my mom struggled with loosing weight until she find out that just by moderating what she eats, it's easy for her to loose weight, so now we really understand that gaining weight is just as hard or even harder than loosing weight.

As a black American, I know what you mean. Most of us know what it is but there are SOME of us that confuse a good experience with “wow what’s racism?”. Then they’ll speak highly of said experience to diminish another person’s racist experience. Ofcourse you can have a genuinely great experience however black Americans need to acknowledge that sometimes they’re only being treated well for their tourism and money 😢

Expanding on the conversation about racism, so many African Americans, to my experience, like to invalidate your race just because you are a black person from a different ethnic background. I just find it unfair that in 2023 I have to keep defending the fact that yes I come from DR and yes I am black. I’ve know a lot of black people from a lot of different backgrounds and the only ones that like to insinuate “I’m not black enough” is African Americans, yet they are the first ones to talk about black unity and stuff. Like I’m literally blacker that Drake but he is black excellence and in not??? Make it make sense. Kendrick saying “seen n***** arguing about who’s blacker” really resonates.

I’ve been in both scenarios where I was once overweight bc of a medicine and I wasn’t able to loose the weight until a few years later when i stopped taking it ( it’s kinda complicated but It was involuntary weight so I wasn’t able to like choose how much I wanted to loose or gain) and I went down to like 47kg which was very unhealthy for me, and also I have a really fast metabolism so it’s really difficult for me to gain weight it legit took me like years to get to 50kg and now it’s taking forever to get to 52kg!! But thank you for bringing it up, I feel like it’s not talked ab enough

Tips for gaining weight as someone who struggles with it too! Eat high calorie but also nutritionally fence foods. Smoothies, peanut butter, dried fruits, beans and rice, nuts, beef Jerky, really dense grainy breads.. Make those your main snacks. Have all the unhealthy shit you want too, but nutritionally sense I think is really important to gain weight.

(and i am not fatphobic i think every body type is just perfect, you need that confidence and healthy mindset from within. i had to learn to fall in love with my body because people around me were getting out of hands, from relatives, family, friends to bullies) nothing is ever easy. we all adapt and embrace in some or another way.

What makes you think we don’t understand that? That’s why we laugh at britts for saying “we are the least racist country” when in fact y’all are one of the most racist countries. Especially after we saw that “football” game and britts were calling the 3 black players monkeys and throwing bananas at them. I feel like honestly non Americans are really the ignorant ones by saying “Americans think this and that”, when most of you don’t even have conversations with us, y’all just assume. Most of us KNOW that racism exists outside of our country, a lot of us wouldn’t even dare step in an Asian country or the Middle East knowing what people think about black Americans. Stop acting like you know us or what we think. We are not dumb like y’all think we are🙄

The Problem is how they wrote Ginny.. I was in a creative writing group and we were taught if you’re gonna make your main character heavily flawed you have to introduce them in a positive light or constantly shed light on their good qualities through the book/film… Ginny wants everyone to sorry for her but she’s never there for anybody.. her boyfriend was depressed she didn’t notice one of her friends(Abby) was going through hard times she didn’t notice.. her own mother has severe childhood trauma that trickled in her adult life and Ginny kept pushing & pushing without any care or empathy for Georgia
@malyka6639
@malyka6639 Жыл бұрын
@@Jessica.ShawnteBe so for real right now. Ginny is one of the most realistic characters we have in teenage media today. She is a child who was raised by a woman who shouldn't have had children, and insisted on keeping her despite knowing she wasn't capable of it. "She was such a good mom!" She really wasn't. She was a terrible role model and influence on both her kids. Ginny was raised without discipline and boundaries as a result of Georgia's careless parenting. Yes she has her faults, but Georgia has many, many more. She kills, she lies, she manipulates, she steals, she projects, and Ginny is aware of all of this. Personally, if I was in her shoes, I would've reported her long ago. But y'all aren't ready to have that conversation because heaven forbid a white blonde woman may be in the wrong. And last time I checked, it isn't always easy to notice somebody else's struggles when you have a shit ton going on yourself. Trying to heal others before healing yourself is impossible.

@@Jessica.Shawnte Also, there were many times when ginny showed empathy for Georgia. The mere fact that she hasn't turned her into the police and has kept her secret so close to her chest, with the exception of marcus, is wildly compassionate and empathetic of her. I weighed basically the same from the end of middle school until I was 26. I was 105 & now I'm 27 & 135. It happens because your body starts working against you. FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GAIN WEIGHT: Start lifting/lifting more. This will raise your appetite and metabolism (of course not by next Tuesday, give it a normal time lol). Your body gaining muscle will need more energy to maintain it and then you will need to eat more (healthy foods so you don't break out) If it's predominately protein based and consistent lifting, it SHOULD be mostly muscle gain. Natascha Oceane has a lot of good vids for more guidance. Good luck!
