You probably won’t see this but my daughter used those same type of pacifiers when she a month old and all the sudden got so fussy and wouldn’t sleep! After some digging and talking to her pediatrician, we stopped using that brand and everything g got better immediately! The pediatrician came to the conclusion that the since the nipple is so bulbous and big she was sucking on it weird and it was forcing air into her tummy that she wasn’t getting out and it made her so fussy! Maybe for a week try a different brand like the nuk orthopedic or mam ones! They changed our lives!

I think it‘s so important to tell your audience, when you struggle. One it‘s good for you if you can speak honest about your problems. But second, and even more important, I feel like you help so many other parents out there. My girls are also close to 26 months apart and I FEEEEL this. It’s so hard when the second baby is so different from the first and you try to remember that babies are different but you’re also constantly comparing to the older (bc that’s all you know) even though you know you shouldn’t. And it seems like it really shouldn’t be that hard… but it IS!! I feel you, Aspyn. You’re doing great! My little one is almost 8 months old now and it does get easier. 💗💗

Don't know if this is helpful, but my 6 month old is basically worn most of his life because he likes to be involved and I have a toddler so it's hard to get anything done. It's been a life saver. The baby k'tan is the one I used and it worked great!

Don’t worry if you haven’t “figured” everything out, I think it would be impossible for anyone to do that. Where you are, figuring it out as it comes, is all you need and you are doing amazing. Your an amazing mom and wife and you should be so proud of yourself. Letting Cove watch a few episodes of tv is totally worth you having a few minutes to yourself!

Hey Aspyn, I say this with only love, you keep mentioning trying to fix why she’s fussy (in other vids too) and I just want to gently remind you, you’re only 1 month into the 4th trimester. From what you’ve shared she actually sounds lower needs. Her behaviour is completely biologically normal and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with her❤️ you could try chiro but honestly I would expect this behaviour from any baby for the first 13 weeks (4th trimester). The fact she’s already sleeping 5hr stretches is honestly amazing for a breastfed baby. It’s completely normal at 1month for them to still nurse every 1-2 hrs in the night and be cluster feeding❤️❤️ hang in there. Again I only say it with love.

My youngest was fussy and I found the more I wore her in a baby carrier the happier she was. It was the only way she would sleep during the day. Maybe try that for when you cook etc? Love your content!

Both of my boys were pretty easy going babies, but I found with my second that 1. He didn’t like to be put down and 2. I couldn’t put him down as much because I was always chasing my toddler around. So baby wearing became my best friend. I was able to get so much more done and he was happy being so close to mama. Hope this helps!

This is so relatable, I found that going from 1 -2 babies was such a struggle aswell we had a toddler when we had our second and trying to get a routine especially at the start was very hard and I had ppd too, I found my second Bub also was never settled and just always wanted to be held but only by me and just was very hard but it gets easier and eventually gets better❤️

When my second son was born the first week was bliss. He never cried, was such a good baby. But when the 2nd week came around he started getting fussy and difficult to make happy. I couldn’t figure out what happened. And as the days went on he got fussier. I ended up taking him to the doctor because it was just becoming too much. And I found out he had a lip tie and tongue tie. It was causing him to take in too much air when he nursed, resulting in severe gas pains. It was heartbreaking. After we got it fixed it still took about 3 months for him to become a more happier baby. So I know how it feels to have a challenging newborn and just not knowing what’s wrong.

I would recommend having your iron checked if you haven’t! I had low iron before and I was exhausted but my eyes were also so heavy and hard to hold open. Especially postpartum though, it’s worth considering!

My two kids sleep all night and I’m still always tired. Moms are always tired no matter how much sleep they get. Moms are always subconsciously listening for the kids at night plus the mental list of things in our head all day on top of taking care of the kids and household ❤️

My newborn is one month. He gets bad reflux and stomach aches if I eat something I have a sensitivity to. He also gets fussy because he is going through his leap and jsut wanta to be involved. I've found wearing him through the day helps. Also our schedule is really just sleep eat play . Every hour-2 hours .
