I know this was 2 years ago, so if you still have the box, take that battery out right now. From your pictures it looks like it's already done some damage. If your keyboard and mouse don't work, that will be why. Now that it's been 2 years that battery junk has done a lot more damage to that board. You can de-solder or carefully clip it out, then neutralize the battery junk with some white vinegar and clean it all up with some rubbing alcohol. The battery stuff eats everything!

@richardmaudsley77 ... still own it .. Problem is with all my moves it ended up stored, for a bit of time, in a space that was not climate controlled .. Last time I tried to boot it up it would not work .. I plan on getting it back up and running one day.

Algorithm runs late again 😐 Did you ever get it running again? I managed to fix one of mine. But I totally failed on one, too.

As we all know life gets busy and I have not even worked on it ... I still hope one day I will take the time to check it out good.

@@daveoldaker5589its possible to fix it even with whatever damage has happened since you last posted about the storage climate. a lot of amiga owners still out there today that get daily use from them. new production motherboards, ways to repair drives and replace with modern ones even, the hard drive idk but its not impossible.

@richardmaudsley77 .. When I start it up all I get is a blank screen, the hard drive spins up and searches (can hear this happen). That is all that happens. I stuck in a floppy disk and booted up again and it does not even search the floppy. Has been a very long time since I have worked with amiga. I just took pictures and loaded them here - dave oldaker DOT com / MyVideoToaster (don't put in the spaces - KZbin will not allow links here)
