Well, we're missing out no longer, because one of the reasons for me creating this channel is to go back and play all the games I missed. The crashes can be caused by high PhysX settings. Try lowering that to low or medium and see if the problem still persists

Its nice to see newer players getting into borderlands! A little tip for legendaries - most bosses/mini-bosses can drop unique legendaries, and side quests can unlock new minibosses for you! Also any piece of equipment with red text means the weapon has a legendary effect (usually these are quest reward items that are blue rarity) - these weapons are just as good as legendaries so dont let the rarity colour mislead you

Important to know: bosses respawn once you quit to the main menu. I say this because in the video it sounds like you think you need to reset the game/save somehow

Red text means it is a unique item. They don't all have special effects some have special firing patterns, some are completely wacky and some are so broken they completely trivialise the first 2 playthroughs. If you are seriously stuck at any moment up until around level 20. Farming Savage Lee a couple of times for any of the many variations of the Unkempt Harold is the easiest way to steamroll through the story.

Sometimes you'll have to grind named enemies because what they drop is never guaranteed to drop every time, so keep cycling and grinding them a bit until they drop something fun. They might also have more than one special drop, if you don't want to spend forever figuring out for yourself what they drop the hard way, you can always find their loot table on a wiki somewhere I'm sure. Although you might not find that as fun as just playing the game and finding it out on your own what drops what. (less important technical info below) Another thing about what they drop, is that you can grind them again and again to get the same drop for better stats since they're slightly randomized based on the parts the gun drops with. The legendary (as in reputation as well as rarity) 91% sham shield is one case of trying to get the absolute god roll perfect stats drop, and for the sham, the drop rate is STUPIDLY rare and you need some game knowledge to know what parts do what and which are the best which really isn't worth worrying about.

Just a saving tip. If you are miles away from returning a quest you can save and quit to be returned to a fast travel or entry point however all enemies will respawn. I'll need to re check this one but if you are mid level and want to soft save and keep any weapon you find you can go into your menu and turn badass rank off and then back on and it should soft save your game.

Jakobs shotguns almost always have a small mag. But they reload fast and do a ton of damage. That one you were looking at is 500 damage a shot. There are ways to make your magazine bigger. High pellet shotguns will always have a small mag aside from Bandit which fires very slow. Zero also has a skill that makes the first shot from a fully loaded magazine do a lot more damage. Which with that shotgun... would be every shot. So no it wasn't bad.

Two lil tips: 1: You can inspect with f! people use it to look at weapon parts and stuff to see if a weapon is worthwhile keeping. 2: Looks like someone has PhysX enabled, borderlands 2 is a pretty unstable game but trust me, PhysX makes it a LOT more unstable. Keep the playthrough coming, im enjoying it so much! ❤

Tediore reloads consume all ammo in the mag left, the amount of ammo left in the gun when thrown also increases throwable damage by a lot! It’s fun to shoot once and reload and one shot a boss or something

I noticed that the Launcher didn't consume the ammo left in the mag when he threw it. He went from 1/9 to 2/8 after throwing it. Maybe they knew people wouldn't like accidentally tossing away launcher ammo when you can only carry so much of it.

The suicide bots are really fast but you can make them crawl by shooting out the legs. I saw you shooting the boss' legs a bunch so I think it got lost in translation.

I was shocked that he didn't die in the pit because I've got an insane amount of time in this game and even spent hours upon hours looking over each map when a collision visualizer mod was made a few years back. I've got a list of like a dozen places the player can get oob with no grenade or rocket jumping and he just stumbled upon this one I didn't even know about on accident lol. I immediately pulled up the game and did some testing and there is a death barrier in that pit but they actually slipped through a small gap in the collision in that corner to get back into the face of 1 of the walls and just barely managed to avoid hitting the barrier.

The reason for the lag or game crashing is because of one of the visual settings you have on called Physxs effects or something like that, if you turn it to low, or off I can’t remember it will drastically help reduce the lag and game crashing

All the weapon manufacturers do their own things for guns, shields,and grenades. Hyperion guns get more accurate the longer you hold the trigger, tediore guns are thrown and explode when you reload, bandit weapons have huge mags, Dahl weapons burst fire when zoomed and have an alternate firing mode in hip fire, maliwan are always elemental and have high elemental inflict chances, torgue weapons always explode, jakobs are always western styler and fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, and vladof have high fire rates

Warden has insane grenade resistance btw, thats why it did zero damage. Also you just did not shoot him a whole lot so his shield kept going back up. Kind of like risk of rain 2 you have to stay on top of enemies to not get overwhelmed, try being more aggressive.

Fun fact about that Lascaux submachine gun, it gets its name from the real world Lascaux cave in France. It contains absolutely ANCIENT cave paintings created by humans of various animals and such, specifically a bull type creature. When you fire the Lascaux, its bullet spread creates the very bull painting depicted in the cave. If you stand next to a wall and fire it at the wall, while keeping it as steady as you can, it will actually create the painting on the wall. It also always spawns every time you enter Frostburn Caynon, so you can easily farm a really good one if you want. Super sick gun, one of my faves.

Yo, have been enjoying the series and want to throw something to help out... It's about the crashing and low FPS. There's an option in the graphics called PhysX, in the bottom of the list, turn it to "low". What it does is, it makes so the blood and corrosion of enemies makes a puddle on the ground, it looks cool, but it EATS your FPS and sometimes makes your game crash. Turn it off and see if it helps.

Whenever things weren't going my way and I was getting frustrated, I'd just go to the Dust and drive around shooting down copters and running over bugs until I felt better. Good thing you had that Ellie side quest in your pocket...

Some helpful tips: - If you find yoursellf strapped for ammo all the time, remember that there are ammo crates and containers scattered everywhere in the game, they dont always give you the ammo you need but you should be able to keep a steady pace throughout the levels without having to always visit an ammo vendor if you just run around opening them all - i dont mean to police your build and you should 100 percent put your skillpoints in whatever skills you want, but i will tell you that you will experience greater benefits by just point dumping into one skill at a time to get the full benefit of that skill once its maxed out. Also you should try and stick to one tree at a time so you can get the Capstone skill in that tree as fast as you can, as these skills provide you powerful game changing perks/buffs. - You should try and keep a balanced arsenal of elemental weapons so you always have a gun that excells in whatever situation you find your self in. Fire damage i would say is the best, as most the enemies you fight in this game have red health, but its also a good idea to keep a shock or corrosive weapon in rotation as well. non elemental is also good as it does not suffer any damage penalties to health types. - Melee damage can critical hit just like bullets if you hit them in the head. combining this with all of the melee damage modifiers Zer0 has in kit can make for some insane melee crits -Item rarity is a good indicator of power, but it doesn't always mean that an item is bad. There are plenty of weapons, items in this game that are blue/purple rarity and still outperform legendaries - Try to open/loot any container or trashpile you run across, they have chances to drop literally anything int he game from weapons to eridium. its not that uncommon to get a 4 bar eridium drop from random trashpiles/ containers you find throughout the game. Also who knows, you might even get a legendary drop lmao

Damn getting legendaries just like that is lucky. Boom and bewm ,Captain flynt , Savage Lee , Incinerator are examples of farmable bosses for legendaries btw. You can spawn them by save quiting and going back to their spawn area.

Warden is kind of a DPS check boss if you cant kill him quickly enough he gets away with Roland but its possible to get him first try if you get a good corrosive and shock weapon. I definitely didnt beat the check first time on my first playthrough. For warden and other enemies with shields (the blue health bar) it regens after a while of not getting hit and takes extra damage from shock (your shield also works the same way, so be careful of shock barrels). So its best to try and get through the shield with shock damage and then melt his green armor health bar with corrosive. Different elements for different health bars.

You can save character by going to "badass rank" section and clicking Q two times, it makes the game think "oh, you turned it off and on so i need to save your new changes". This can help if you get good gear and don't want to lose it by crashes

Small tipp for tediore weapons like your launcher at13:05 !! You use your leftover ammo. The more ammo used to throw the weapon the bigger the damage. But also more ammo is lost. Otherwise keep enjoying the game. I got like 3.000hours in this game and If i could delete myknowledge... i would to be able to experience this game once more EDIT: rocket launcher was a bad example because here its not the case but witb SMGs it is.

FYI 1) Killing mobs with the cars doesn’t give you as much exp, I think. 2) Also, instead of running all the way back to someone who gave you a Quest. Instead, often times you can save and quit the game and then load the game again. You will spawn at the last possible save travel station. :) 3) Each weapon with red text on it usually has some hidden perks. Often times, you’ll have to google them to know what they do / refer to. The red text can be a quote from a movie etc. 4) There are Skill Tree stations where you can re-allocate your skill points for a fee. Very useful to change your playstyle for certain boss fights or simply because you want to change things up 5) each weapon manufacturer has certain pros Hyperion: increased accuracy Dahl: burst fire Bandit: increased magazines Tediore: Weapon is thrown on reload and explodes. The more bullets are still left in the mag the more damage the explosion does! Very useful to get second winds ;) Haven’t played BL in years, so please do correct me if I remember wrong y’all! ☺️👋

Here’s trick to save time back tracking! If you save and quit and reload game, you load at the nearest fast travel station! Easy way to get out of a map after a long mission

Few things i will mention that you might find helpful, and i will try to not say any spoilers or to much about it all. 1. Save quiting can help you travel places faster. (When you were at flint, you couldve saved quit and when you load back it you wouldve been at the fast travel point). You will go back to the fast travel station or the warp gate into the area. 2. Mercenary head hunter (snowman) is a good short dlc i would say you should do if you have it. 3. If you find the mission called The Bane, do it. (Will show up in sanctuary later) 4. If you care about ammo i would recommend farming doc mercy (you killed him last episode) for his drop. 5. The skill bore is fun, cant say much without giving it away. (Left skill tree, middleish) 6. E-Tech weapons (pink, your sniper) are strong weapons but arent good on ammo. 7. Make it cool when shooting in the face. (You'll know) 8. Weapons with red text (red text weapons), have special gimics to them, so they wont behave like a normal weapon most often. 9. Donate money to moxie (thousands)

A tip for you, going into fight for your life is fine as long as you get a kill to revive, so you don’t need to run away as much, you can use cover and grenades or just backpedal and shoot at the enemies chasing you if you have to run away.

Tips: 1. All enemies respawn and there are dedicated loot pools. Farming some of them may prove very useful 2. Do side quests. 3. Jakobs shotguns and snipers are SICK Bordelands is a looter shooter and a big part of the game is farming bosses. Kill it, save quit, enter the game again and loop until you get the drop

You are underleveled for the Bloodshot stronghold. Do more side missions, get more eridium, upgrade ammo storage, maybe go to the Dust and try to get a good Gwens Head pistol. Get some corrision and electric weapons for the 'bots and constructors.

You should check the item of the day on the shops, usualy great items. Also, with Dhal weapons, you can aim and, once you shot the first bullet, stop aiming to interrupt the rest of the shots, so you dont waste ammo.

Loving this series bro. Just thought I’d shoot some info over. All the weapon manufacturers in the game have different properties unique to them, eg: all dahl weapons will always be semi auto whilst hip firing and burst whilst aiming, bandit weapons will have massive mags but shit accuracy, Jacob’s have big damage but low mag and fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, maliwan will always be elemental and have high elemental damage, vladov weapons have really high fire rate etc. Worth looking into them. There is also a whole weapon parts system with each manufacturer having different parts I.E the grip or barrel etc, and rolling a weapon with matching parts will be better than non matching. But that’s endgame stuff. Keep up the videos bro 👊

Ammo tip: if you're low on ammo the game will wait that ammo type for you in ammo crates. So make sure you open all the crates first for waited ammo drops and then pick them up after. Doesn't work for launchers though.

One thing I will say is don't be afraid to experiment with more weapon and manufacture types, even if the stat card doesn't look super appealing you should still try them out because the inherent manufacture effects can make them really good, like many of those one shot jakobs shotguns

Yo just a reminder that bosses and chests respawn when you save quit the game and that you can respec your character in the place where you change skins. I'd recommend the green skill tree for Zer0 since it matches your playstyle. The pistol you used in that quest is an E-tech gun and they mostly don't shoot normal bullets (pistols shoot darts that explode for example) and that's why It didn't count to the quest. Each gun manufacturer has their specific E-tech weapons, except Jakobs that only makes old-fashioned weapons. Also, activate every head or skin pack in your bag, since they take up space in your backpack. And pay moxxi a visit in sanctuary, she's scooter and Ellie's mom. im at the beginning of the video and one thing i would recommend you get more comfortable with is if an enemy near you is low just letting yourself go into fight for your life mode then killing them and getting up. its aa very good mechanic and makes it feel less chaotic.

in case nobody has mentioned it. Roland was telling you to shoot the legs off the EXP Loaders, not the Warden. Warden has a big ol eye for you to shoot, and it has a shield so your shock smg wouldve been great for the first half

A lot of bosses and mini bosses have dedicated legendary items that have a chance to drop. That’s why a lot of people fight the same bosses over a over. If an item has red flavor text it’s a unique with some sort of additional effect like legendaries.

Just so you know the red “flavor text” that you see on unique guns are usually references like like real life phrases from tv shows and movies and such or random references to characters from them. Also the third game solved a lot of your issues with this game like the back tracking they solved by adding fast travel from the map.

Last month on PS+, we got Borderlands 3 for free. That only made me want to replay BL2 again. havent watched the whole video yet but physx is probably the reason youre crashing so much, its the setting that adds the cool water physics and explosion particle effects. it also tanks your pfs a ton so i always have it turned off 🔥🔥

Tip for Warden: you need to put out consistent damage. Its shield kept refilling due to not being hit over time enough.

Orange rarity = legendary They always have special effects. There are also weapons with “red text” they also have special effects. Usually dedicated boss drops are oranges. You did pass up a good shotgun in that quest that consumed 3 shots per shot.

You can mark your weapons as favorites or trash (in the items right corners in your inventory) so later you can sell all the trash by single press of Del button in a vending machine.

For a pseudo inspect animation you can switch weapons with a pistol in hand and before the animation ends switch back to the pistol. This will just play the pistol switch animation which is a spin. It's what I like to do when there's nothing to shoot at :)

Someone may have already mentioned this but it's worth restating, shooting reactive barrels will pick you up when you're in Fight for your Life. I would always leave one or two up for this reason

Bro, I have never seen someone fail to save Roland that badly lol. Piece of advice, Roland was telling you to shoot the loaders legs, their joints are their weak points. The constructors however (the enemy type that had roland trapped) have a weak point on their eye. You even shot it a few times before half listening to roland. Keep up the playthrough, its great to revisit an old game like this through someone elses eyes. And I hope you settle into your new home well.

With teadior guns, the bullet you have left will be stacked on top of the damage it dose when it explodes. So basically more bullet in gun= more damage when thrown.

Sup! You can just save quit after completing quest and it will take you back to the start of the area, much faster than running back. Also with the burst when zoomed weapons, you can unscope and it wont fire the full burst. Making it more ammo friendly! Also savage lee drops one of if not the best pistol in the game, maybe worth a few save quits! Oh, while roaming about sanctuary; if you bump into michael mamaril, be sure to speak to him for a random weapon up to epic tier i think, Michael was a huge borderlands 1 fan who unfortunately passed away, he was immortalised in the 2nd game and still roams about sanctuary, quite a beautiful thing they did there.

someone probably already said this but savage lee is good to farm. all you gotta do is save quit then load back in and hope he spawns, and kill him until he drops a legendary pistol called "unkempt harold" it can come in different prefixes such as "double penetrating unkempt harold" which is actually the best varient of it and one of the best pistols in the game.

Bro just so you know if you save and restart in whatever area you are in you can spawn back at the starting point in that map and keep all your loot while also resetting all the loot, chests, bosses in that area. As long as it's not a mission like as soon as you get progress in a mission then it'll save. That's how you farm bosses so you can get better drops from the bosses and stuff like that. Notable boss to grind out is tinder snowflake. Also grind an area and tip moxxi, don't look it up but if you tip her 15-20k she'll give you a dope surprise! Been watching since first vid hope you're enjoying borderlands.

love these videos so much, a few things tho. almost every uniquely named enemy in the game has an item dedicated to them that they can drop, so you can farm them just by save and quitting. look out for legendaries and blues with a red text in the description

PST the saw blades scale based on YOUR melee damage so if you are going with a melee build ALWAYS use them

I believe if you disable and enable your badass rank it can force a save so if you fear crashing in the future or just got something cool I would recommend doing that so you can save the item. Also loving the series man. Enjoy your time playing this game. It was a blast my first playthrough
