Good stuff Joseph I hope you can pick up that other Elliot Smith you are after soon! Sometimes an artist connects with us, and we get in deep. Again good job man! I really liked the cover you chose to be a part of, I would go to that campfire as well. I tried to make mine first thought stuff, spontaneous etc, a person could do a whole new one after watching others. Let’s just all enjoy our time on here. Thank you! Ya Bryter Layter is a great album I did record and edit a reaction video listening to it for the first time but never uploaded it 😅 yes! I really liked his If You Could Read My Mind album especially because I was such a fan of the Johnny Cash cover! Thanks for mentioning him I haven’t listened to any of his stuff in a little while will have to go back for sure!

Hi mate, I just discovered your channel. Very interesting, you choose the 70s (a decade that i really love in terms of musical and film productions) by mentioning Al Green i.e., an artist i know very little about. Thanks for the tip. And well, Ennio Morricone's scores he made for all of these late-60s ''spaghetti-western" movies directed by S. Leone were just brilliant, love all of 'em. Congrats on your Leonard Cohen choice, very cool

Awesome Tag Man! Thanks for the shout out! It's so cool to hear you say you got into Dr. Dre from the Straight outta Compton movie.....Dr. Dre the Chronic was the first purchase I ever made to buy an album with my own money (it was a cassette back then!) I was 11 years old! Oh - and def. check out Jalen Ngonda - he is from your side of the pond - new record on Daptone, exclusive is pretty cheap at VMP.

I got a copy of Al Green's Greatest Hits in the past year or so and what a fantastic album it is. Hmmm that would be an interesting party...Wow lovely Kick Inside cover, as a huge Kate fan I really should seek out a Japanese copy. nice tag, cheers Dale

Enjoyed your list up! Big Elliot Smith here too. Same thing happened to me with Andy Shauf this year, who bizarrely sounds a lot like Elliot Smith and who I mentioned being my most listed to artist in 2023. Take care and Happy New Year from Tokyo!

Elliott Smith is awesome- such a great output in a short time. I think XO is my favourite album by him. I also really like From A Basement on the Hill. Nice Weeknd 7 inch! Ennio Morocconi! Hey, appreciate it! I’ll take Super Hans..’The secret Ingredient is crime’ 😂 If your a folk & soul fan have you exploded Bill Withers much? His first two albums ‘As I Am’ & ‘Still Bill’ are a great mix of soul/funk & folk. Both five star albums imo. With the Smiths I would go to Hatful Of Hollow next which are the BBC sessions (far better versions than the debut) and Maybe The World Won’t Listen which is a comp of their poppier stuff. I feel it’s been picked a lot for good reason 😅 I’d definitely miss some tacks I grew up on and hip hop music in general but too many classics came out in the 70’s!
