I'm also a baritone. My vocal range is (E2-C5). You give me hope to sing higher. I can relate to you and your vocal range. Hopefully, someday I can reach your higher notes.

@@pedromendez2035 When you're not mixing and singing above C5, do you feel a big change in your voice ? At around B4 for mine I really feel it going all the way up to my head and I have a hard time phonating up there. I sound like a flute from D5 to B5, what do I need to do to make it sound more like head voice. My guess is that I'm completely flipping into falsetto because if I go back to my chest voice or head voice, I completely break. Do you have some tips ?
@MichaelRoseOfficial3 жыл бұрын
I suggest practicing a balanced placement (which I teach in my course!). It’s best to not worry about vocal registers too much - instead, focus on staying “in front” and have the sound resonate freely (without squeezing or distorting). It may take a little while to get the coordination down, but if you continue to ask for an even tone, eventually your body will figure it out. Also, instead of singing higher, imagine you’re signing “farther”! This has been a huge game changer for me and for many of my students🎤✨

Im a classically trained high bass/bass baritoneI found these videos interesting because you use the same technique as my voice teacher about the one voice ease and the door hinge (he calls it the crackle). My range on a given day is C2/B1 - A4/Bb4 in full voice though without going into too much detail I generally never sing above G4 so Id like to have more consistency up to C5 even in full voice. In falsetto/head voice/whistle (whatever you wanna call it) i can go up to a F6 and C6 easily, I trained as a countertenor too so having access to the whole voice is a huge aspect of my singing. Love what you do and support it all the way, you are one of the few who really are singing in a super healthy way and has a great balance and understanding of singing. Keep it up!

Bass baritone in bb4 full voice ? I think it’s with a lot of tensions
@benjaminwashington2087 Жыл бұрын
Lol no just intensity. Im retraining to be a verdi baritone because I can more or less support the tessitura my voice is just big and colorful so it can have a bass color to it in the lows and baritone color in the highs. Now have a low C to High C and falsetto up to G6; consistent training and understanding of the instrument has got me this far. I hope to be what I call an absolute Baritone (which is someone who performance all Operatic baritone roles from bass-baritone to verdi and light baritone) and low tenor stuff sometimes sung by baritones
@TheBaritonoAssoluto2 жыл бұрын
Wow… for a Baritone you have a super light not very thick or rich voice. Its beautiful because it lends itself better to the high notes you sing. The vibrato is clean and even and lastly your onsets are well executed with the crackle sound keeping the cords together, I can only imagine how loud your voice is in person based on the sound.

A Baritone's comfort zone is usually the core of their middle voice A2-G#4, the same as our female Mezzo-soprano counterparts A2-A5 We Baritones can sing high but we're usually not that comfortable sustaining the notes as long as Tenors and Sopranos can much less handle the repetition of higher notes. But I love the powerful and manly sound of my Baritone voice. When I sing most people can't determine my voice type unless I intentionally darken and lower my sound. But I love the Baritone's manly ability of conviction within it's core mixed/middle range that makes the ladies wanna go in swoon mode. 😂

Please make more tutorials on how to increase vocal range! I'm so intrigued on how you can sing that high and it sounds and looks effortless for you. I'm so jealous. I'm also a baritone but my range is from E2 - G4. But I'm kinda pulling my chest when I'm trying to hit G4 to A4. That's my highest note when I'm in full chest. For my head voice I can sing up until D5.

Sir. Could you make a video on mixed voice? Maybe explaining your journey on how u got it, where you feel it etc. As a baritone my self, i love to hear baritones sing high, because i know that they had the same struggles as I and they managed to overcome.

Probably a g# consistently in full chest voice. I have a mixed coordination I use, but it gets softer after G4, so can use it with a lot of mike volume. That maybe goes to an E5? Would like to make it louder!

In his Chandelier cover, in the first note of the chorus he belts a fully chested C#5 (way more chesty that he did in this video) so yes.

Yeah, the point is that when you know how to place the notes in a balanced and resonant way - Using your own unique RRP - then you are able to easily add different textures and more power or flexibility to notes that you aren’t supposed to be able to “normally” 💪

@MichaelRoseOfficial4 жыл бұрын
I don’t really like to use vocal registers in my singing, I found that it’s more of a detriment than an asset in me experience. It can get you to a certain level, but it also puts you in a bit of a “Gilded Cage”... They way I did it is by singing forward as I go higher and trying really hard not to “shift gears” or “change registers” or anything like that. There are spots in anyone’s voice where it will begin to “crack” or where there needs to be an internal adjustment, a shift in balance... but these are truly far too subtle for us to navigate with our minds... This is better done with letting the body do it on its own... fortunately I’ve developed all sorts of exercises and tricks to make that happen 😁🤘

He is bari. Tenor can't hit D2 so strong. It's just a nature of his vocal chords, so they can be stretched like this so well. Gifted and trained bari.
@andreatorriglia80102 жыл бұрын
@@yaroslavmakarov2218 it's not such a strong D2. Tenors can generally stretch up to E2, a trained tenor can hit a D2 like that imo. I may be wrong of course, but I think, once again, that his secondo passaggio can tell us a lot
@heliotropeskies59182 жыл бұрын
@@andreatorriglia8010 chest G4 is not that abnormal. most well trained baritones can sing up there in chest. a lot of people confuse a general brightening or their secondo passaggio with mix but mechanically i've heard baritones get to like B4 in M1. matt sallee has his passaggios at B3 and E4 and can sing Bb4 in M1. i kind of agree about the passaggio part though. his passaggios seem kind of in-betweeny so i think higher lyric baritone and dramatic tenor are both possible
