I don't know how did this tribute fell into oblivion, but dammit, you've done one of the greatest tribute I ever seen. Instead of just putting some random music on images, you took precise cinematics and precise voicelines to create your video. Honestly, I never put a like on a video (being lazy most of the time), but you deserve more attention.

No tears. She got what she wanted and she did as she planned and nature wanted her back. And her inspiration now roams Ashfield like a wolf waiting to sink her will into those who no longer want to deny what they are. R.i.p my war-mother my our howls never cease

This was beautiful. Hearing all about Apollyons past and what she witnessed to be who is she today. Who we see. She isnt a villian in my book, shes someone that sees reality of the human species. I will forever love and fight for Apollyon has her wolf. I miss her greatly.

"I do not envy the meek and helpless commonfolk, they live a life of fear. They cannot defend themselves. They cannot be blamed for being what they are, but neither should they be allowed to deny it." in my opinion this is what makes Apollyon better than Astrea. She does not want to slaughter the sheep like Astrea, she just does not want weak people in expensive armor and rich families to masquerade like wolves like we see with the two knights she kills. They were not willing to die for what they belived in, so what was the point in them fighting. Same with the samurai dymio and the Viking chieftains. She belived that the strong should rule over the weak but so too should the strong DEFEND the weak. I really feel like Astrea does not live up to that idea.

Astrea is different to Apollyon but not as you think. I made a whole video about Horkos in which I explain everything. Here you go: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3jGknqirtOSaJI

@Era de Lupi Good video, I gave it a like, but I'm not sure I agree. I think you have the two confused: Astrea and the warmongers actively tried to wipe out the weak. That was literally the purpose of the warmongers, to go from village to village and "Shepard the strong, to punish the unworthy". The order of Horkos literally ate the people that they culled. They wanted to purge the weak. Apollyon wanted the strong wolves to rule over the meek sheep. However she did not want them dead, she just wanted both strong and weak to admit what they are. A soldier is not a farmer, you put a soldier in a field and they will starve. They know nothing about irrigation or which crops to grow in which regions of the land or at what time they should do it. Just so a farmer is not a soldier. You put a farmer in a battle and he will run the moment he is faced with a disadvantage, and even if he stays he will not know how to fight. He will overextend, he will telegraph, he will stagger. He is not a soldier. Apollyon saw this but she did not hate the commoners, she just thought she was above them and accepted her place. She gave the samurai people a chance to follow whichever warlord they wanted to and fight for their warlord. She didn't just give them a tyrant, she let the warlords fight, and the warlord who could get the most respect of his people by being the most ruthless would win. Same with the Viking chieftains. Finally when Ashfield was seiged by Vikings and samurai, Apollyon did not let the commoners die. She let them into the safe confines of her castle to protect them saying "for that is our sacred duty, is it not?" She was defending her people because she was a wolf and they were her sheep. And wow, I did not mean for this to be this long. But if you skipped to the end and didn't want to read it, just look up the video called "the mind of Apollyon" it sums up my talk pretty well.

@@casualmeme1854 The great purge was more a punishment than an overall ruling strategy. It was done to weaken the factions to be able to take control easily. The Horkos do not kill everyone. They have subjects that they rule over. Servants, Soldiers, Miners, Slaves etc. Apollyon wanted a world ruled by the strong in anarchy which automatically translated into not caring if the weak die. The Horkos actively subjugate the weak to make use of them. Astrea is different to Apollyon, but overall she is the more "benevolent" one if you can say that as she cares to keep people subjugated rather than not caring about their lives at all Also not all Horkos eat humans. Thats more of a Masquerade ritual thingy thats allowed but not a daily thing.
@casualmeme1854
@casualmeme1854 Жыл бұрын
@Era de Lupi Again, I have to disagree. First of all, your statement about the purge makes no sense. Astrea conquered the factions, killed the leaders and THEN purged them in a attempt to weaken the factions they already conquered? The purge is what led to the Chimera order so the purge was not after the invasion either. The weak were either killed, promoted, or made into slaves (sometimes used in sacrifice). With Astrea there is no sheep or civilian class. They are all killed. Again, Apollyon belived that war was the natural state of humanity. Because of this, warriors were superior to non warriors. But she never wanted all civilians killed. She helped them when Ashfield was under siege from the other two factions, she helped them when the Vikings raided Ashfield and the iron legion did nothing, and when she led her campaign into valkenheim, she claimed she was putting an end to the Viking raids. The Blackstone legion became so powerful because it was loved by the people. Even though it was more aggressive than the iron legion it was also more effective at keeping the enemies of Ashfield away because of the quality of its armies. She did think the common man beneath her, this is true. But she did not want them to die because they were weak she wanted an altered version of the fudal system where farmers, merchants and the like were subservient to the soldiers who were then subservient to the warlords. But no army of soldiers can survive without food or weapons of armor, which are made by commoners and Apollyon new this. (Think about ancient Rome and how every politician and every governor had their own army. And generals were greatly respected among the political offices.) Astrea is not the more "benevolent" she sees herself as an avatar of change, and her practices are far more barbaric and much more " destroy for the same of destruction ". Apollyon at least had purpose behind her actions and every atrocity she committed: be it the raid on valkenheim or turning the samurai against one another. It had purpose, and wanted to show the warriors of the world the truth that they refused to see. A wolf aspires to be the Alpha, and it does so by fighting for the position. After that it fights to retain that position for as long as it can until a stronger wolf is worthy to lead and beats him. The purpose of a soldier is to fight, a mercenary fights for gold, a knight fights for their leige, and a father fights for the future of his family. But they all do the same thing, they fight. The best soldiers are the ones who can fight the best. The ones who can fight the best are the Lord's of war. Warlords. It's a reality on the world Apollyon saw and wanted everyone else to see. She did not care for "sheep" but she did understand their significance.

@@casualmeme1854 The Horkos Purge started with the attack on the festivals. The Wyverndale leaders were by far not all faction leaders. That was what the purge was for. To weaken all of Heathmoor. Apollyon ended up pretending to help the civilians of Ashfeld to lure them in her castle. Then when the Samurai and Vikings attacked she blocked all exits. That was to cull even the last of her own people. She was not merciful and not interested in protecting her people. Just in culling the weak. Astrea subjugates. She is a tyrant ruling over people and with that different from Apollyon, but she is definitely not only killing the weak. She enslaves them and uses them as workers and farmers. And she does not do these things without purpose. She is creating an order/regime while Apollyon was striving for anarchy. These are main things I try to explain. The flaw of Apollyon was that her way only lead to peace again after a certain amount of time due to her not controlling the wolves she "freed" (as seen with the Wyverndale Truce). Astrea artificially creates a struggle in her cult that keeps people fighting for a rank in the Horkos hierarchy. True everlasting war. The term "war" is used not for great battles but for a state a country is in (aka constant martial law). It is more effective than hoping for people to fight on their own like Apollyon did. Here is also a video I made which involves the topic of the purge. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHOYZHd7nJWigqM
