Love the Sinn 356 line. Damasko is another manufacturer in the same vein and I wish more people would talk about them. One of their most recent releases, the DC96 Chronograph, is especially interesting to me. It has that rugged utilitarian style the manufacturer is known for but the dial and strap add just enough refinement to make it elegant. Love the channel, happy new year to you and yours.

The Aqua Terra 41mm has the 8900 movement that has the time zone hour hand. The 38mm has the 8800 that doesn’t.

The Globemaster was the first to have the 8900. It’s a 39mm dressy sports watch. I love it more than the AT’s.

Good evening from blighty! Have you considered the Sinn ezm3f?
@redrain61411 ай бұрын
Agreed on the 3f. It’s a sleeper. After buying and rebuying and selling off the 104, I finally took the plunge on the 3f and it’s amazing! The anti-reflective coating on the 3f could be better but it’s forgivable considering how cool it is in every other area including crazy good lume.

How are you liking the Navitimer? I’m thinking of adding a blue Old Navitimer blue dial gold bezel phenomenal value and love the watch!

I highly recommend the Omega Seamaster 300 white dial with black ceramic bezel, I regret selling mine sooo much. I don't like the OEM bracelet so I put it on an Uncle Seiko bracelet and it felt awesome. I loved the contrast and it was very legible. Dang, I may have to buy another one 🤷♂️

A while back you did a cheap casio water test could you do the same with a timex weekender or expedition im very curious if they will hold up to even the stated spec of 30

I have a very nice omega collection, speedy, seamaster and planet ocean. Can’t recommend any of those enough. I am looking for an understated Rolex and it’s between the 16570 black dial explorer ii and 114270 explorer I. I keep going back and forth and can’t decide. The explorer one feels so nice on the wrist, very classy and it feels like it goes with everything. The explorer ii has the more Rolex dial to me (sub,gmt) but more understated, additionally it has the gmt compilation and date. If you had no sentimental attachment to either which would you choose if you could only keep one?

I know this video is old, but I just want to make sure you know that the Omega Aquaterra only has an independently set hour hand in the 8900 movement, and not the 8800. This means only the 41mm AT has that function, the 38mm does not, which is very sad. If they put the 8900 in a 38mm watch, I would have one in my collection already.

I must admit, I’ve grown distant from feeling a need for more than one tool watch. That said you’ve got a good reason for looking for one with respect to a countdown bezel. That said, I have a Hanhart with a simple rotating pip and that’s sufficient to the task. I do like Sinn, a friend of mine has one it’s a good watch, they are perhaps the gold standard maker of true tool watches. They actually have a dress piece that’s rather nice. As for Omega, have you looked at the Globemaster? It’s a beautiful watch, particularly in the blue dial. Great proportions, jumping hour, twin barrels, tungsten bezel. Other than that, I’d look at preowned Zenith. What about something a little dressier? Get out of the comfort zone, Grand Seiko’s SBGW231 comes to mind as an example.

Strange to have a minimum price you are willing to spend. Maximum I get - but minimum? Almost like you only want the watches that showcase you are doing well financially. Each to their own of course / obviously lots of people only buy expensive watches - I’ve just never heard anyone articulate this so matter of factly before. As an aside I’d suggest branching out if you are buying for the channel mainly. The Sinn, omega, Tudor stuff is ubiquitous at this point on KZbin. Most enthusiasts have owned them all at some point. There are so many other cool brands and models that never get a look in for whatever reason. Again perhaps it’s down to having other people see and recognise what you are wearing and how well one might be doing fiscally.
